Description of Work: We had our HVAC system serviced by Daniel Bandy with Residential Experts and he was fantastic! He spent a good bit of time with us after he finished his work explaining what he saw and providing some recommendations on what we should do in the future. He even provided a detailed report with all the readings on the unit. We are moving to another city and he even told us we could call him if we had any questions on the system at our new house even though it's outside of his service area. He was extremely courteous and I felt went above and beyond what others would have done. Would highly recommend him. To be honest, I picked this company because they were running a fantastic deal on a one-time HVAC service that was much cheaper than anything else I saw. But the service was amazing so if I wasn't moving away, I'd use them again even if they were more expensive.

Description of Work: Work not performed. There was a misprint by Angies List on the type of thermostat advertised so I elected not to install it.

Description of Work: Fixed the problem but nickeled and dimmed me to about $250.00 higher than the quote. | |I diagnosed that the problem was a burnt air handler motor. At first he wanted to charge $1100.00 for the motor alone. I researched the motor and found an non-OEM for $230.00. So then he offered a $300.00 OEM and said that the non-OEM motor would not be warranted. | |His next trick was verbiage "oh it'll cost $415.00". But after the service "ok $450.00 just like I quoted". | |And of course he added a credit card fee and a service call which he didn't say in the quote.

Description of Work: Daniel was very professional, and repaired my heater to my satisfaction. He is a hard worker and is very fair. It was a pleasure to have him in my home, because he is so respectful. He is very presentable in his appearance, and is just a nice person. The heater is working perfectly now, and the cost was very fair.

Description of Work: My A/C needed freon and he gave me information on what I need to do to make it last longer.

Description of Work: He did a good job of diagnosing the problem, but wanted to charge me hundreds of dollars for less than $40 of parts. When I confronted him, he backed off and charged me only for the service diagnostic fee. He also lies in saying that heating and cooling units prices went up 20% or 30% across the board last January and that is why his prices are so high.

Description of Work: Work started with a 20-Point Air Conditioning Tune Up, using an Angie's List coupon. I had never used this HVAC maintenance service provider before, but I was impressed with the work performed in the short time that I was around Daniel. His assessment of my home's AC system was honest and fair. My unit is old, has a small pinhole leak in the evaporator coil, but is still a serviceable system. Instead of looking for a replacement AC unit, like what previous HVAC service folks have recommended, I instead had the system recharged with R-22 refrigerant and leak sealant. My AC system has been running great ever since. Thank you for your professional work and honesty Daniel!
