Dan showed up on time and went right to work. He thoroughly inspected the AC unit, the furnace, plumbing, ductwork, and electrical connections. He cleaned out the unit and topped off the refrigerant. Afterwards, instead of running off to his next appointment, he took the time to explain everything he had done. He let us know it was unusual for a unit this young to require topping off, and gave us some tips on how to watch for problems and what to do if the unit started experiencing issues. He was professional, courteous, knowledgeable, and spoke in plain English. We will definitely be calling Dan for our 2012 inspection!

Daniel was excellent! He responded to my phone call quickly and was able to set up a time to come out within a few days, which I thought was very good for an inspection. He came out during the time frame he gave me and called when he was about 1/2 hour away. He was very professional when he worked. He spent a lot of time educating me about things I can do to make my system run more efficiently etc... He was very unintimidating. I will definitely use him again for future inspections and repairs to my system.

He came out the same day to fix my air conditioner which was leaking water onto the basement floor. A pipe was clogged and needed cleaned out.

Daniel called the date of the service telling me he was on his way and actually arrived early. He performed the requested service and explained each step in the process. I had a few general questions which he answered that will help me in my future decisions regarding replacing my A/C unit or continue to "fix" it. When finished, Daniel sat down with me and explained everything he found and serviced, and made suggestions for future care. I will be using Daniel for my annual cooling and heating needs and will use him when I need to have a new unit installed.

Absolutely perfect experience, start to finish. I wish I could give Dan a grade even better than A. I was initially calling around for information and estimates, and from my phone conversations with a few AC service companies, it was clear that Residential Experts is far more professional, courteous, and customer-oriented than the other companies. Totally different from the companies that act as if you're bothering them by calling and asking questions. Dan answered all my questions in a forthright way, gave a very fair price estimate, and set up a time to come out and see the house before fully committing to the job. Dan came punctually both for the estimate appointment and for the actual service appointment. Dan was great about following instructions on getting into the house with no one home. The AC replacement was made exactly as planned. Everything works great. I wish I had more to say, but there were no complications, no problems, no oversights -- everything is just great. As an added bonus, Dan is very good about keeping in touch, both by phone and email. He usually answers his email within minutes. Residential Experts is the best AC/Heating company I've ever dealt with, and is among the best of all the service companies I've ever dealt with.

I took advantage of the A/C tune up deal that Residential Experts Heating and Cooling provided for Angie's list members. Our central A/C unit is about 11 years old and the last time that we had it checked and serviced was in 2007. Because of the recent heatwave I wanted to make sure that our A/C unit was working properly. I called Residential Experts left a message and received a call back from Dan immediately and scheduled an appointment. On the day of the appointment Dan called before his arrival to let me know that he was about 30 to 40 minutes away. Dan arrived a little after 10:30 AM or so and got right to work. Dan was very professional, personable and explained everything that he was performing. He was very willing to answer any question that I had and made sure that I understood everything. Dan spent about an hour checking things and cleaned the coil of the A/C unit. During the last tune up, with another A/C company, the tech advised me that I may have a slight leak because I needed to add 1 pound of freon. I advised Dan of the possible leak and after performing a pressure check he informed me that everything was within specification. Before leaving, Dan performed one last temperature check. The whole service took just over an hour and it was a very pleasant experience. I am really happy to know that I found a Heating and Cooling professional with the help of Angie's List and the member's comments. Without Angie's List, I would not have considered Residential Experts Heating and Cooling. Dan WILL return in the fall to perform a check on my heating system. Thanks Dan for a job well done.

Owner Daniel Brady answered my phone call and scheduled his visit within one week. He arrived promptly; was polite/professional and provided answers to all of my questions; told me/showed me how to keep my A/C running efficiently; did not attempt to sell me any service plan; told me if A/C is in good working order, there is no need to have it serviced yearly, perhaps every other year if I have no problems; provided a thorough report, etc. He inspected both the furnace and outside unit, and cleaned the outside unit. No leaks were found, so no freon was needed. He left within a 1/2 hour and already I can tell the difference, notably the second floor which was always so much hotter (now cooler!!). I believe him to be honest - a good guy (a real treat, as I have been burned by a few dishonest servicemen who have taken advantage). I would certainly use him again and recommend him to others.

Daniel was thorough and informative. He answered all questions. He ran multiple tests to make sure the unit worked. He went above and beyond too--when a plant needed removed for the larger unit, he stayed with my one year old twins so I could check it out. When I came back he had them both laughing! I rarely feel that comfortable with people performing service in my home. The price was the EXACT same as the quote. I would recommend him again and again.

Dan's service was EXCELLENT! He called prior to his arrival to make sure I knew he was on his way - well within the 2 hour window he gave me for an appointment. He's extremely friendly and professional. He worked quickly and regularly asked if I had questions. He didn't perform or recommend any unnecessary work or try to sell me a service plan and was honest about what normal maintenance entailed. He was also polite and professional about his competition, acknowledging good work done by previous HVAC professionals (who installed a whole-house humidifier.) I will absolutely be recommending Residential Experts Heating and Cooling to friends and will call Dan again if I have any future needs!

Daniel was very quick to respond from initial call and follow-up call. I had an appointment only days later and he called before coming over and arrived at the early part of a 2 hour service window. He was curteous, took off his shoes when asked, and was quick but covered everything.

Dan arrived on time and immediately went to work on the AC unit. At 07:30 on a Saturday morning, he got right to work. Meanwhile a thunderstorm popped up and it started to rain. Dan just ignored the rain and kept on getting the unit into operation. He showed me the relay and how it had burnt off one contact and would not work properly. He had done several in the past weeks and had extra relays in stock on his truck so he could repair my unit in less than 1 hour. The cost was way below what I thought I would have to pay and the unit is at 100%. Dan even left the old defective relay with me so that I could deconstruct it and recycle the parts. I will call Dan again anytime I need HVAC work done. Dr. K

He was prompt and wasn't here long. He pointed out that he was concerned that when a different company had installed my a/c because they used a back-stock unit.

Discovered freon leak during annual A/C check. Replaced A/C coil approximately two weeks later.

Overall this was a terrible experience. I had to endure weeks of hot weather while my AC system lacked the much needed freon charge. This company did not have the professionalism to contact me in advance that they were not going to be able to keep the appointment. The proprietor informed me later that nearly 30 other customers were also canceled. In such a circumstance, a responsible company would contact their customers in advance to attempt to rescedule. It was irresponsible to schedule customers so tightly and unprofessional to miss a scheduled appointment without notification.

Daniel was amazing! We needed a new air conditioning unit but, before determining that, he ran every conceivable test. If there had been any way to fix the old unit, he certainly would have found it. In addition to being thorough, doing everything in his power to fix our existing AC unit and save us money, he was always punctual, he promptly returned every phone call, he explained everything he did and he remained friendly and professional every step of the way. He even installed our new unit on a Sunday! Clearly, he was going to do whatever it took to get the job done right and that's just what he did. We've been cool and comfortable ever since. If I could give him an A+ instead of an A, I would. We will NEVER use anyone else!

was terrified that the lack of cooling from my central AC meant I needed a new unit. After resolving the issue,Danny cleaned the unit and went over the results of his inspection. I was thrilled to learn that with the proper care, my 16 year old central AC could function quite adequately for another 5-6 years. The company I used 3 years ago tried to sell me a new central AC. The company I used last year misdiagnosed a problem and was the direct cause of an interior water leak that ruined my carpet. I would recommend Danny as a professional, courteous, knowledgeable heating and cooling technician. I will most assuredly call on him to examine my furnace before winter comes.

It went as well as it could go. They showed up the same day we called. Diagnosed the issue. Got the part. Replaced the part. We really could not ask for a better experience.

Daniel arrived called me as he was heading our way, giving me enough time to get my dogs out of the way. He arrived on time and walked me through everything he was doing - from adding algae tablets to adding freon. He was easy to talk to and informative; answering all of my questions and then some. We felt he thoroughly checked the unit. He told us we didn't need more freon and that since the unit was running efficiently, unless we had a problem, we should get it checked again in 2 years. Without our asking, he explained how an A/C unit, in general, should operate. He clearly enjoys his work and has a thorough knowledge of it.
