Because the heat would not come on I needed service as soon as possible. The owner was extremely responsive and said that he was working in the general area and would be able to come by within approximately two hours after completing an installation. In fact about two hours later he called to let me know he was on the way and arrived about 15 minutes later. He quickly diagnosed the problem, it was a simple fix and while there I had him complete a full HVAC inspection. He checked it out completely and was out the door in twenty minutes max. Very good, very professional, and I highly recommend Residential Experts.

Wow! This company won me over from the outset: First, Daniel was thoughtful enough to knock on my front door rather than ring the doorbell. I greatly appreciated that because the service call didn't begin with my "'fraidy cat" panicking and hiding under the bed for the rest of the day. Then Daniel saved my carpet by wearing those cute little booties over his shoes while he was in the house. And this guy knew his stuff. It took only moments for him to diagnose why my furnace wasn't working, while explaining it all to me: not only which way to put in the furnace filter (something I already knew), but WHY the filter goes in that way (new information!). Daniel also explained the likely reason that the igniter went bad (MORE new info!!), as well as what the different parts of the furnace were. Other aspects of the service call were also guaranteed to impress: After he finished installing the igniter, Daniel checked all the remaining connections on the furnace. Then he took a look at the humidifier and adjusted it, which alleviated a problem I've had with the humidifier for several years. Finally, instead of "knocking out the competition," symbolically at least, by covering up their sticker with his, he placed his sticker beneath theirs because, as he pointed out, the information on their sticker contributes to understanding the history of the furnace. I VERY HIGHLY recommend this company! Daniel was punctual, polite, knowledgeable, and informative. He turned what I had dreaded as an onerous necessity into a brief, afternoon learning opportunity. It started out with a tune up for my heat pump. It turned out to be much more than that. My Tempstar auxillary electric furnace which is less that 10 years old wasn't producing heat. It turned out that a few parts had gone bad. Sounded like no big deal. Replace the parts and move on. Oh no, of course it wasn't that easy. They no longer make the parts because they were defective. Tempstar forces you to buy the rebuild kit which is around 300.00. The parts had to be ordered, and when you factor in the Holidays, that turned out to be an ordeal. Thank goodness for Daniel from Residential Experts Heating and Cooling. He turned a very negative experience because of Tempstar into a very pleasant one. He went above and beyond on this one. He got me the part at his cost and installed it without a labor charge. I believe he took a loss on the job because he felt so bad for me. I'll definitly be calling him back in the spring to tune up my a/c. I highly recomend Residential Experts Heating and Cooling.

I called Residential Heating and Cooling when our furnace was making loud noises. Daniel listened to our problem and told us he could be out that afternoon. He called between the times he indicated. Daniel came in and checked out the furnace. He found the blower mount loose and the screw was inside the furnace. He reinstalled the part. Everything checked out ok and the furnace was much quieter. :-) Then he answered all our questions regarding our furnace and heat pump. He was very patient and knowledgeable and professional.

Called Residential Experts after having another HVAC contractor try to diagnose a heat pump issue on three separate occasions. After dealing with a cold home for two weekend nights in a row and the other company didn't answer their after hours on-call line, I called Residential based on a recommendation. Daniel was at my home on a Sunday afternoon within an hour. When he left, I had heat, at least temporarily. I was sceptical. Daniel came back in two days to install requested components and to do an additional diagnoses of what was malfunctioning and what went wrong with the previous repair/installation work. Found several issues and they were corrected immediately. Now everything is working as it should be and I have more knowledge of just how my system should work than I have ever been given. Cost was absolutely reasonable, he was willing to go out of his way to make sure everything was as it shoudl be before he left. . I would recommend this company to anyone!

Excellent job. On time, cleaned up and explained operation and maintenance. Installation included two year warranty.

Came promptly both times, was very polite and professional and made sure everything was workiing properly before he left. Will certainly call him again if the need arises. Both calls occurred on holidays. The No Overtime charge policy was much appreciated.

He completed a maintance visit- a week later there was a problem. He came to my home the same day I called and deducted the maintance visit from my bill even though it was something that could not have been picked on during his intial visit.

Daniel is great! I had a gas leak and had one HVAC guy look at it and he told me that everything was okay. But I still smelled gas when my furnace would cut on. So I wanted a second set of eyes to look at my furnace to make sure that there was no gas leak. So I called Residential Experts and Daniel came out. He located the leak and fixed it. He is always thorough. I will definitely use him again.

Daniel was very professional and was extremely knowledgeable. He did everything promised and more. We just had our furnace and humidifier installed 2 years ago by another highly rated company on Angie's List. During the check-up Daniel found that the humidifier pad appeared to be brand new. After checking further, the tube that supplied the water to the humidifier had never been opened so no water was passing through. He fixed the problem so now we have a humidifier that actuallly works for the coming winter. I will definitely hire Daniel from Residential Experts Heating and Cooling for our next air conditioning and furnace check-up.

My appt window was 8am-9am Daniel arrived @8 am and was finished before 9am. Needless to say, Daniel was prompt and very professional. He educated me thoroughly on the operation of the thermostat. I am very pleased with the company and the representatives!!!!!! Overall I am overly impressed with the quality of service for the low price that I paid. Thanks Daniel you rock!

This job was a result of a Angie's List Big Deal. I had also utilized Residential Experts last spring (another Big Deal) for an AC check, and was impressed with the thoroughness and price of the inspection. Since that job went so well, when I saw this Big Deal for a whole-house humidifier, which is something I really wanted, for a great price from Residential Experts, I signed up right away. Within the hour of my signing up, Daniel called me to set up an appointment. This was apparently a very popular offer from Angie's List, and he was right on top of wanting to get everyone scheduled at a mutually convenient time. Impressive! When installation day arrived, Daniel called ahead to say he would be arriving in about 20 minutes, which was the set time for the appointment. He answered all questions, wore booties in the house, and was very neat and orderly during and after the installation. He explained the operation and care of the humidifier in clear terms. He is also very personable. I also thought the actual humidifier might be a "bottom of the line" humidifier, but it is a mid-range Aprilaire, a very nice humidifier for the size of my home. Daniel also stressed that he wanted me to call him with any problems or questions I might have post-installation. I am very comfortable with Daniel's knowledge and expertise, and will utilize Residential Experts for all my future HVAC needs.

I've had Daniel come out twice for general HVAC maintenance. He is always professional and courteous, and takes the time to explain what he's doing and why he's doing it. I wouldn't hesitate to use him again or refer a friend to him.

I had Daniel come out and give my furnace a tune-up. He was offering a special price for Angies list customers that he had provided service for in the past (He recharged my AC in August). I had not had the furnace serviced much in the last ten years that I've had the house, but I haven't really noticed any problems with it either. Still, I figured it was overdue to get the burners and such cleaned, and systems checked out at the beginning of the heating season. Daniel came out, checked the system out, cleaned it, and tested all of it's functions. He noticed a bad connector, which he repaired. He also noticed that the heat kept cycling on and off after a few minutes. He ran several diagnostics and tested a number of potential failure points before arriving at a bad preasure switch as the cause. He got back with me the same day with pricing for the new switch and was able to install it the following day. Thans to Daniel, my furnace should run more efficiently now, which should save me some money this winter. I was very impressed with Daniel, he put over three hours working to diagnose the issue, and he didn't charge me extra for this time (which was very generous). He got the job done right. I recommend him without reservation. He is one of those people that like their job, and take pride in doing it well.

In a word, this guy was fantastic. Probably the best and most knowledgeable professional that we have ever found through Angie's list. I give him my highest unreserved recommendation.

I did not feel that the company uphold to the Ad written on them. The email said that they would really try to find the leak and the guy just answered with "inside and outside". I felt that the claim for the reduced service was over blown. He did do his job but did not do as thorough of a job as I expected. They are courteous and respectful but the service was nothing special.

Dan seemed very knowledgeable. He explained in detail what he was checking and how we should maintain the system. I was particularly impressed with how quickly he returned my call when I first contacted him. Dan was friendly and responsive. I appreciated his flexibility when I asked him to do the furnace check as well as diagnose the problem with the furnace humidifier. Daniel was amazing in a major time need for us. Our A/C went out on a Wednesday night and Daniel was prompt and over at our place on Thursday evening as soon as I was available. He came to check out the issue and advised that a major part could be replaced or we should get a new one. He explained in technical detail the issue as well as in layman's term. He compared it to having open heart surgery vs. getting a new body. As we went through the options, he explained pros and cons of everything. He was able to install the new until two days later over the weekend for no extra charge. There was also an issue where our new unit was stolen out of the back of Daniel's pick up while he was removing my previous unit. I thought for sure this was going to turn in to a nightmare of a problem, but he simply said he would take care of the issue, ran back to the distributor and picked up another unit. I was so relieved and happy. One issue that came up is that he did not have enough freon to fill the unit and all available filling stores were closed. Daniel was able to find a place on Sunday morning and promptly get the unit filled back up and properly running. In addition, he came back on Thursday to double check and verify that all was working. He was professional and willing to explain and show me how everything worked which I really appreciated as I like to understand everything. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this company for their professionalism, competitive price, and great service.

Daniel called ahead as promised and arrived during the scheduled time frame. He was very polite and professional from the start. He did a very thorough inspection of our furnaces. One of them was not working properly and he was able to pinpoint the problem and fix it. He also went out of his way to also inspect our heat pumps and air conditioning units to make sure they also were working properly. He was very detailed in his explanations and even called the manufacturers to make sure that all the readings and numbers checked out. He found an issue with our furnace that was not an emergency and told me so, he did not try to upsell me for expensive repairs or pressure me to fix the issue immediately. Daniel went out of his way to explain more to me about our heating and cooling system that I had ever been told in the past 10 years of using another company. I plan to use him for any future work and would highly recommend his services - he is excellent and honest.

It was easy to schedule, Dan came out at the scheduled date and time. He was very professional both in communication method and while performing the service. Following the tune up, he came inside and explained his findings in a manner that was easy to understand and answered all my questions. I have placed this company in my short list of HVAC service providers for my next repair, maintenance, or replacement service request. Incidentally, he mentioned that they do not charge an extra fee for off hour calls. something to possibly keep in mind.
