Jack and his guys did a great job. After the concrete was poured some kids in the neighborhood rode their bikes on it before it cured.Yikes!!! I called Jack and he came out the very next morning to go over it to try and repair some of the damage. It worked somewhat but this was no reflection on Jack, he did all that he could as a contractor. A few months later we noticed that some of the concrete started to crack in the area where the new was connected to the existing that we had. We contacted Jack, he came out to look at it, told us it would be no problem and no cost to repair. The next day they came out, I think they ran into more challenges than expected but overall the job was done and everybody's happy! Thanks Jack for a job well done.

Nightmare. No one deserves to experience what I've gone through with Jack Cooper of Advanced Concrete Paving. Update: On November 10, 2010, Jack Cooper refunded $2500 of the money I paid him for the horrible job described above.
Description of Work: Jack Cooper, Owner of Advanced Concrete Paving, agreed in writing to pour a driveway 12 x 30 foot attached to a slab 16 x 51 foot for RV parking and a sidewalk up to 27 foot in length. While I was not home, he sent his workers out to quickly frame and pour the concrete without leveling the ground for the parking area. When I arrived from home to inspect the work he completed, I discovered a 41 inch differential in height from one end of the parking area to the other which renders the parking area useless. To add insult to injury, the unlevel surface that was supposed to be 16 x 51 foot is actually 14'11 inches x 51 foot! Obviously, he did not even run a tape measure across the forms before pouring, much less a level. The sidewalk was framed and never poured. The reason he gave for not pouring the concrete in the sidewalk was due to the fact he did not have enough concrete left over when pouring the drive incorrectly. In an effort to be accommodating, I told him in spite of the contract I would accept a crushed limestone drive, he arrived two days later with 6 bags of marble chips instead which he scattered in the form. First of all, marble chips are not appropriate for a sidewalk since they are hard and sharp. Marble is used for decoration around sidewalks and in rock beds or flower beds, not for walking upon. Secondly, the amount of marble chips was ridiculously small in that the ground was not even covered. It was a total complete joke what he tried to pass off as a sidewalk. Against my better judgment, I upheld my end of the deal to pay him trusting he would fulfill the contract he wrote and signed. When I spoke with him about how he did not complete the work he wrote in the contract, he asked what it would take to be sure I am satisfied. I told him an additional slab with the dimensions of 16 x 50 foot attached to the end of the concrete mess he created. He agreed to complete this work if I would pay him an additional 500 dollars. I consulted my lawyer and he felt that would be the best resolution and suggested I accept. He agreed to start a week later. Two days prior to starting the repair job, I received a call from the owner Jack Cooper offering me one thousand dollars cash and the addition of 6 inches of concrete on both sides for a total width of approximately 16 feet to widen the narrow area in exchange for the work he promised to perform. When I told him that is not acceptable since widening an unlevel surface will not make it level or useable, he became angry and hung up on me. He has not contacted me since. It is important to note he has never returned to REMOVE THE CONCRETE FORMS! It is apparent Jack Cooper of Advanced Paving has no interest in performing the work as written in his contract and has taken my money and run. I have several pictures I will submit that will support the statements in this letter.
