Description of Work: Does not follow up and does not show up when scheduled. Unfortunately I have no other options because of my home warranty. It takes forever and the office staff is rude.

Description of Work: I called them to replace the outside unit. They did not show up the day that they said they would. When they did show up a couple of days later (after numerous telephone calls), they broke my doorbell when wiring the new unit, they let my dogs out of the house by leaving the doors open, and the new unit did not work properly. After calling them back because of the new unit not working properly, they would not come back to see what the problem was. When I called another company to come out, they found very sloppy work that had to be fixed. I never could get the doorbell fixed, and the "new" unit apparently was a unit that they had in their shop for some time, as it did not come with a warranty. Needless to say, the "new" unit did not last very long at all.

This was a terrible experience. The entire process is still not finished and it's been over a month! On the first visit, they told me the drain was not clogged and they needed to clean the unit. They seemed nice enough. They said they would call American Home Shield (AHS) and get back with me with what they were authorized to do. I did not hear from them for several days, so I called them. They said they would call back. A few days later, I called them again. A plumber then called us to schedule an appointment to clear the drain line, even after we were told the line was fine. I thought I heard wrong, so I had them come. The plumber said the drain line wasn't clogged. Tri's finally called back and scheduled an appointment to come back. They came back and said they cleaned the coil. They said it was leaking so they needed to order a new evap coil. They were going to leave us without air since it would only be a few days...my husband told them to get the system running again just in case (luckily he did that since it would have been over 3 weeks without air before they called back). We called them many times and they said they would return our calls, but never did. Finally they called and scheduled an appointment for Saturday from 11-1. They never showed up and never called. I called them Monday morning and they said they would call back by noon. They did not call, so I called again and asked to speak to the owner. They said they would call back. Never did. I called AHS and they called Tri's. They said they would schedule another appointment and the owner would call (never called). They scheduled for the next day from 8-12, but they did not show up during this time. I called AHS and they scheduled someone else. Someone did come by a few hours later (several hours after 4 hour block) and I told them we were getting someone else. New person came and said nothing was ever cleaned and could not find a leak (although they will check again after cleaning it). Overall, very frustrating to be stuck with a company that does not call back and tells you one thing and does another. The whole process was over a month and nothing was ever really done. I looked this company up with the Better Business Bureau and they have an F rating.
Description of Work: AHS (American Home Shield) sent Tri's AC to work on my air conditioner on May 5th. They came out and looked at the unit and seemed nice. They said a line might be plugged, but after blowing it out, they said it wasn't. They said they would ask AHS if they could clean a dirty coil. They then sent a plumber to unclog the drain (after they said it wasn't clogged). The plumber said it wasn't clogged. They said AHS gave them permission to clean the unit. They came back to clean unit and said they did it. They said we needed a new evap coil since old one was leaking. They said they ordered a new coil. They never showed up to install the coil after missing two appointments, so AHS scheduled someone else.

AWFUL. TERRIBLE. COULD NOT BE WORSE. PROBLEM REMAINS UNRESOLVED and meanwhile my 6 year old is sleeping in a hot house due to these people's ineptitude. I'm a nurse. How bout I just decide one day to NOT DO MY JOB?????
Description of Work: Assessed existing a/c unit. Then ordered new unit and scheduled appt to install for the following Tuesday. NO SHOWED for the install appt. NEVER CALLED BACK. I called office all week long from Tues until Friday. They showed up on Friday with no appt. Installed unit, blew cold for 15 minutes and then the lines leaked all the freon out. I've been calling for a repair on the lines for 8 DAYS. STILL WAITING to talk to Ms. Alice, whoever that is...have NEVER heard from her from day one. Finally got the secretary -not Ms. Alice- to commit to an appt for today after 1pm. NO CALL, NO SHOW, NO ANSWER. This is a home warranty covered installation and our out of pocket was $363. DO NOT USE!!!!!

The capicitor was $35.50, and the service call and labor and tax was $190.00. This was a very high labor charge. I am located approx. 10 miles from their office, so the service trip charge should have not been very high! They did arrive the same day they said they would, they were 2.5 hours late however! I do not think that I would use them again! I know that "cheaper" is not always better! I will look for a company that is better priced! Thank you for reading this!
Description of Work: I thought the price was very high to replace a start capicitor on my 4 ton outdoor unit!

He cleaned drain lines coming from Ac. The problem is it was clear for about 3 weeks then starting having the same and we contacted him about it. He said he would come by that day and look at it again. He never showed. I called him the next day he answered and said he could come that day. He never showed. He quit answering my phone calls. This man is not very professional and doesn't care about his reputation. I would definitely not call him again.

Description of Work: We have AMERICAN HOME SHIELD home warranty company. Tri A/C is a contractor. we submitted a request for a/c repair because a/c was working but not cooling like it should. a Tri repair came to our home on june 15. /h was suppose to b there between 8-12. He didnt come til after 3, looked at our a/c unit on the outside, said it was frozen up and that it was nothing he could do, took my deductible check of $60 and left. my son called me and told me this and i got the number from receipt, contacting his home house n alexandria very upset about this. The office manager was very nice and said that he would make sure that he retruned that evening. he came back after 5, add freon to a/c and said it was fine and left. well it was fine dor 4 days. by that saturday, my home was back hot. contacted AHS again. tri a/c came back the next week, different. different guy, he said that it was leaking thru the coil and he had to order a part, mnd u the part he had to order was on the inside of the house, even though no one had been nside our home to check this. he added more freon and said that it should last til the part came n, of course it didnt. they kept saying for days that someone would b out to check and no one would come. we had to wait til the end of the day n hurriedly find a hotel for the night. after the third time of this happen and numeerously complaints to AHS, AHS offered to buy us a window unit or pay for 1nite at a hotel so of course we took the window unit. well we had to purchase, fax receipt and get reimbursed. when the part finally came n 2weeks later, here goes tri a/c sending 2 guys to repair. well they had the wrong part and since they were not from lake charles, my father n law had to take them around to several a/c stores and get the right part. well there was conflict between the 2 workers, 1 said one thing and 1 said it was another thing. they ended up not putting on the part that we wait 2weeks to get and add freon and it didnt work. they turned on the unit and didnt realize that our bedroom door was open and it was the window unit they were feeling not the a/c. so had to call them back again, n the mean time they had taken the coil back, and had to go part and get it and put it on. they didnot put that on correctly, so a/c still didnt work. then they came back and said that a hose was leaking n the slab and they needed to drill n the slab of our home. after all the mistakes they made it was no way that we were going to let them do that. i got fed up with dealing with people who only made our summer worst ever. i refused to let them returned to our home. paid out of pocket to get the repairs done n 1 day that they couldnt do n 6 weeks and been having great air every since
