J C Carpentry is very professional and they do excellent work. They are meticulous with even the smallest detail. They make sure everything is cleaned up and secure at the end of each day. I will hire them again for future projects.

Extremely happy with their work! Not only was the work professionally done but they were also very polite, protective of all surfaces and doorways coming in and out of the house, completely cleaned everything up when they were done and after taking the old ladder and door out to the curb in the rain, he brought our trash can in as well. Highly recommend to anybody and we plan to hire for future projects!

Let me just start off by saying that Jonathan has been a Godsend! We were in desperate need of foundation repair as well some other things (door insulation, sub floor repair, skirting replacement, etc.) that another contractor didn’t complete and/or do so well. Jonathan came to take a look at the job and informed us that he could do it with minimal issues. He was he right! I must say that just like many others we’ve had our share of bad contractors so we were a little hesitant to put our trust in him. He reassured us that he could do the job. He is definitlely a man of his word! Jonathan went above and beyond to make sure that we were satisfied with his work, he was very prompt, very courteous and did everything that he said he would. I HIGHLY recommend him! If you are hestitant, take a chance on him, you won’t be dissapointed. He will definitely be our go to person for future projects!

Jonathan is a lovely person. I initially hired him to take a wall down and quite a lot of other jobs around the house. I found him to be very talented. His work was top notch and so I kept adding jobs. I wound up keeping him pretty much all year long (2016). He is a trustworthy young man. I left him alone many times in my home and nothing was ever disturbed. I can’t say enough good things about him. He started out being a paid workman and ended up being a friend.

Jonathan was incredibly professional and knowledgeable. He gave me his honest opinion and provided excellent options to save time and money. He paid exceptional attention to the smallest details and was more than willing to work with my tight schedule for completion. The end product was of the highest quality work.

I left the details to Jonathan. That is why I employed him. He arrived when he said that he would. He priced materials prior to providing estimate (made sense), and the replacement board is the same width and length as the old deteriorated board. Once the painter applies primer and 2 coats of paint, should look identical. Very polite. Bill was within the range of what he estimated. No surprises. I am pleased and the job is complete, very promptly I might add.

The shop I work in is a small utility closet that I had modified and expanded in order to provide a space for my business of repairing computers. Initially, when redoing the structure, I had no option but to leave a corner of the space closed off because it contained the Washing Machine and there was no other place to put one. This situation changed at a later point so I wished to reclaim the space so that I would have a bit more area to work in the shop. My wife and I decided that while we were at it, it might be a good idea to lower the ceiling on that side of the shop in order to provide more storage place. As stated above, I had hired an individual to come in and do the work. In retrospect, I believe the young man had overstepped his limitations and began to realize it once the work got started. At any rate, my shop in total disarray, the ceiling torn out of it, a corner of the wall knocked out, all of the desks covered with draping material, dust and building materials scattered every where and this guy goes on a 3 or 4 day fishing trip he had previously planned with friends of his. Needless to say I was livid. I could do no work in my shop and had customers expecting their equipment back. Nor could I entertain the notion of accepting any further work until this was completed. Upon hearing of, and then calling Jonathan, he came over and inspected the shop, asked a few questions regarding my original plans for the place and pointed out a couple of features he could build in that I had not originally contemplated. He gave me a bid and began the work the following day. The work he did for me was began on Saturday morning. By opening time Monday the work was completed and my shop was ready to accept business. Jonathan lowered the ceiling as was planned, finished out the corner that had been knocked out in order to reclaim the space for my shop, he built a sizable trap door into the ceiling for access, cleaned up all the mess and finished it out such that unless one had seen it previously there was no way to tell the work had been done at all. The thing that impressed me most regarding his work -outside of his carpentry skills- was the manner in which he made sure that he in fact had the same finished picture of the work that I did. Competency alone was a trait I found out the hard way was not a thing to take for granted. Honesty and attitude mean everything. From that day on, JC's Carpentry has been my "go to" source for anything related to changes within the structure of my home. With Jonathan, I know the job will be done correctly and efficiently and at a fair price. Furthermore I don't even have to be around when the repairs are being done. He is an honest man and a short time with him bears that out.

I am the Executive Director of The Shepherd Center in Alexandria. We had significant water damage in our conference room. J C's Carpentry gave us a reasonable bid to repair the damage and replace the ceiling. They repaired water damage to the ceiling of our conference Room and replace the entire ceiling area with drywall. Jonathan and his crew were punctual and professional. They were careful to not disrupt our busy office activity. The finished work exceeded my expectations. I will definitely use J C's Carpentry again at my office or home.

Contractor was very nice and responsive. Did a good job on projects he was familiar with but didn't complete one job because he wasn't sure what to do. He was a little slow working, but the things he finished work well and it didn't change the quoted price. It just took up more of the day than I was expecting.

We ended up going with a different business. Their quote process was very professional, and they did a good job on what they did. I asked them what the options were for exterior home painting, and they gave me the options of stripping all the existing paint and repainting, or stripping all the existing paint and just doing basically a base coat and then putting siding up. It went really well. I would recommend them to someone else. Although they didn't get the bid, they were very professional and easy to reach. I will call them again in the future. Their prices were competitive.

It went smoothly. What do you mean by "details"? How should I know? I just hired the man, and he built a very fine ramp. By the way, this type size is unacceptable!!!

Fantastic service, professional attitude! He really knew what he was doing, and he did it well. He showed up when he said he would and completed the service quickly and efficiently, and cleaned up after himself.

He was very professional and personable. He completed the work and cleaned the mess up. The whole job took only about 2 hours. I will certainly use him again.

Jonathan gave an estimate for the job then scheduled a date to come the following week. When I called not knowing where to get doors he gave me a suggestion which saved money. ;He came Thursday and did half the job then schedule to return the following day. I called him the following day because I did not know what material to buy. Jonathan gladly met me at lowes then returned to finish the job. An additional day was needed to do a few things I asked for extra, Jonathan worked around my schedule. I am very please with his work!!

We had a specific budget and had to prioritize what we needed done. He told us what we could get for the price we wanted, and he was reasonable about it. He was easy to communicate with, very polite. We were satisfied with the quality of work and will use him again.

J.C. has a smooth, easy style. Old style, really, which is odd because he's a young man.

He was very efficient, he did a good job in everything he did. I would recommend him. His work was excellent but his estimate was a little lower than his pricing, but that is how it goes.

He presents him self very professionally, keeps all his work spaces neat and free of debris. Took every precaution to make sure he would not be in the way, very respectful. Cleaned up after every work day and showed concern in answering any questions. Could not ask for any thing better, I will defiantly recommend him to potential clients.

J.C.'s Carpentry (Jonathan) is a professional. If he does something then he does it right, anything he repairs is to perfection. He is also a gentleman and a pleasure to do business with. Cost wise he is worth every dollar spent and more. If you want a job well done call J.C.'s Carpentry, he would never take advantage of anyone, and always does quality work.
