JJ's Tree Removal

Was quoted $1400 to remove a good bit of bamboo. I told them I want it rooted and gone not just trimmed down to which he agreed. They were supposed to show up on a Wednesday. Never came. I even texted and got no answer. I gave them the benefit of the doubt because it had rained the night before. Had my husband called to which they said they would be out Thursday morning. They showed up Thursday at 3:30pm. Worked for about and hour and a half. At one point they sat in their truck for 30 min. I asked if they would return tomorrow cause I assume they don’t work in the dark. They said they would be back at 8am the next day. They next day they show up at 12:30pm along with the owner who I originally talked to and was quoted the price by. The owner proceeds to tell me that they can’t do the job for the quoted price, he underestimated how big of a job it was and the price was now $3200. I told them I couldn’t pay that right now so he said they would finish up the one area that they had started and remove some debris from my yard for $500. So they did so however they never uprooted the area they cut down. The owner comes to my house around 4:30 in the evening to collect the money. I told him I didn’t pay his guys cause the job wasn’t finished and the roots in that particular area weren’t removed. He then told me that wasn’t part of the price but he would come back Monday and do it for free. To no surprise he never showed up. I would not recommend these people.

Liar & Con Artist! Delivered unusable/wet firewood. Promised several times to replace - never showed up. Avoid this company! Total ripoff!!

I have tried calling once and texted twice when I would be in town. The phone didn't get answered and the voicemail I left, the call wasn't returned. No response to my texts. I didn't want to grade them because no work has been done. So I gave a D

was given an estimate. work was done, cleaned up and carried off. Jason Harrell was courteous. was early and completed the job fast.

Definitely would call JJ's again to have trees removed! We had a rather large job on my grandparents property in Abita and they were quick to respond with a reasonable quote. The men were professional and didn't leave a mess all over the lawn. After grinding the stumps down it was like you could never tell trees were there.

We always have them do trimming each year. They are excellent! They are clean, professional and prompt. We found them through the Home Owners Association. They do work for the Home Owners Association.

I entered into a verbal contract with Jason Jarrell - owner of JJ's Tree Removal, to cut down 16 trees, grind the corresponding stumps plus an additional 3 that were already present, prune an existing tree near the house and remove the debris on or about October 3, 2014. Mr. Jarrell started the work on or about October 15, 2014 (a full week and a half - approximately, after the promised start date) and finished on October 17. He received full payment via personal check, which was left with another party due to my not being home, which he immediately cashed at my bank. Mr. Jarrell was contacted the next morning, October 18th, via telephone to notify him that I was not satisfied with the pruning of the tree (still had long hanging branches scraping against my roof - the primary reason for the pruning job) and a stump was not completely grinded as promised and paid for (1/4 of the original stump remains). Mr Jerrell did not return my phone calls (made approximately 3 from Oct 18-22nd) until I called him again on the morning of 10/23/2014. He stated that he would correct the oversight of the stump and tree on Saturday, October 25th. Mr. Jarrell did not keep that promise. I called him that night and again on Tuesday, October 28th to address the incomplete and paid for work with no success and had to hire another to complete the work that he was paid to do.
