I saw a few bad reviews but enough positive reviews to give them a shot. Unfortunately, it appears the poor ratings were correct. The owner assessed the job, sagging floor boards on a pier and beam house, and incorrectly determined there was no subfloor and it was a joist issue. When I spoke to him on the phone before contracting on the project, he was certain that installing additional joists would resolve the top boards from being uneven and giving when weight was put on those sections. He told me, with no uncertainty, that I had a joist issue and not a flooring or a subfloor issue. After the work was completed, his employees that did the work told me that I did have a subfloor and there was nothing they could do about the small giving of the floor that was present. The owner made the incorrect assessment based on believing we did not have a subfloor and as a result, the solution he sold me was wrong. He sold me a $3,220 solution based off an incorrect assumption and the only suggestion has been to find a flooring contractor to pay and implement the actual solution. A respectable businessman would help make this right through refunding a portion of my money, paying the flooring contractor to finish the work, or at least attempting to see if additional joists would help. As a contractor I would have expected reputation to mean more to him.
Description of Work: I had a few spots on my old wooden floors that would "give" or sag slightly when you put weight on those spots. The house is pier and beam.

Leveled house about 5 mos ago-worse now. After hours was told not leveled completely, left gaps that would eventually settle. Mentioned before starting ground under house still a bit wet-was told it was no problem. Noticed back door not closed all the way-now stuck-can’t close/lock. Bathroom door won’t close. No problems before. Floors creaking now in places. Toilet seal broke so replaced toilet days after leveling. Plumber said floor unlevel. They said floor joist bent. To try stacking lots of packs of water bottles on floor, leave wks/mos possibly, use other bathroom-and that might help settle floor or have carpenter cut out toilet section of floor and reset. Left lattice skirting off around house, some torn in back yard-so uneven around house it wouldn’t fit back if I could. House drainage is not working properly again because level is off. Air ducts on ground. Insulation taken out near toilet, left open. Wasn’t told. Feral cats got in that’s how I saw it. Had to pay to fix that.

Affordable Foundation Repair’s owner Danny Mudd and his crew were punctual and complete the job in the time frame that Danny laid out. The crew worked hard and was very polite. They left the area as clean as when they arrived. The crew answered any questions that were asked of them. Danny returned called within a reasonable time frame. He would also answer question through email. At the end of the job, he gives you an evaluation form to complete. I highly recommend Danny Mudd and his company.
Description of Work: The crew removed a concrete slab extension from the patio. They dug three holes to level and support a sinking patio. The crew placed support under the patio. They adjusted two columns back near into its original position. One column had move about a half an inch... They laid a new slab by attaching the slab to the existing patio. The prior extended slap had moved away from the patio and sunk three inches. They used wire mesh for support and placed a minimum of six reinforcing rods into the patio and the new slab.
