Jolly Plumbing

The two gentlemen who came did a quick, efficient job, leaving me with a functioning waterline to the outside faucet. They were very congenial. From the time I first called to the time they left was no more than 2 hours, possibly less. They explained why the break occurred, so now I know to remove all hoses in the fall.

We had a backup in our basement, which left unwanted residue and damaged/destroyed many items. We cleaned the waste and called a variety of plumbers. The first company we called had a drain cleaning special (main drain included). The company showed up and the individual worked diligently to unclog our sewer line. However, he was not successful based on the tools that he was using (tools included in the drain cleaning special). We called another company to camera the line, but they were unsuccessful in determining the cause of the clog, due to water in the line. Several companies that we called basically stated that we had a break in our line. After several calls and much research, we chose to have the line augured and have another camera inspection, before an expensive dig and line replacement. We chose Jolly Plumbing based off of the reviews from Angie's List and the assistance the individuals provided over the phone. After a slight delay with our appointment (due to an emergency service call), Al Hopper showed up to our house. We reviewed our problem with the sewer line and Al began to work. The estimated time, from the main office, to clear the line was an hour to an hour and a half. Al worked continuously for three hours. He augured the line with several different heads and placed the camera in the line several different times. He then used some creativity, along with years of experience (which showed), to flush water from another drain in the basement. He did not just force the water through, but he used a balloon like apparatus to prevent backflow of water on the back drain. He made multiple trips out to the city sewer to make sure water was exiting from our house. Each step and/or attempt that Al Hopper used was fully explained to us (without all of the plumber lingo). Al Hopper when above and beyond to unclog our sewer line...far more than what other individuals would have done. We cannot thank him enough! As an added bonus, Al Hopper did not attempt to up-sale any items. He did not give up and tell us that we needed to dig up our line and replace it. He actually insisted on getting the line cleared and stated several times that he did NOT think it was a break in our line (unlike countless other companies we spoke with on the phone or in person). I have no doubt about using Al Hopper from Jolly Plumbing again.

My water heater rusted out the night before I called. I chose Jolly Plumbing from Angie's List because of the references that lived near me. The service manager was very helpful, and he coordinated the arrival of the repairman with my return from buying a new water heater the next morning. Dan, the repairman, was careful about not spilling water on our carpet while getting the old unit out, and he wrapped the base in a plastic bag and even wrapped the wheels of the hand cart in a protective bag to protect our hardwood floors. Dan was very professional and courteous. I would definitely recommend Jolly Plumbing.

This was the second time we've used jolly plumbing. Both times the technician was courteous and helpful. Since you pay a plumber by the hour, they are completely willing to spend that time with you going over any type of plumbing subject. Preventative care or cleaning tips for the disposal, sink, dishwasher, sump pump, toilet, etc. Jolly came recommended to me on a Christmas Eve when my basement flooded due to the sump pump. Jolly sent someone out and he went :through many questions I had and some common tips that I wouldn't have considered. I recommend them often.

Plumbing is never cheap but Jolly Plumbing was clear about the costs and stayed to the estimate. Was pleased that until they located the potential part they thought might be needed (as a result of in-depth conversation on the telephone) they did not come to the house. They answered the telephone on a holiday with a person that was knowledgeable and service oriented. The plumber and part was located and my problem was resolved within 4 hours of my first call .... which is saying a LOT as I live quite a distance off the beaten path. Dan was knowledgeable, skilled, efficient and clean about getting the work done. Definitely would use again and recommend.

Dan was prompt, called when on his way, cheerful, professional in appearance and manner, completed his tasks in a timely manner.

It went great! He was able to find all 6 cartridges he needed to replace the ones we had looked for months! He arrived on time, completed his work in a timely manner and was out the door in 90 minutes or less. I really like the service, the phone call when they are on their way and just the conduct of the plumber while in our home.

Great work done quickly. This was the only bathroom in the house - Jolly recognized the need to get it done and made it happen.

My technician Dan was amazing, this guy deserves a raise! I called the office and spoke with Brian who was so helpful and polite. I am so grateful for Jolly Plumbing and Dan & Brian in particular. What a great experience!!! I will be replacing the water heater within the next 18 months and will be sure to call Jolly Plumbing to do the work. Dan and Brian were great and Jolly Plumbing is an honest, fair priced and overall outstanding company!! Thanks again!!!!!

He said we should just monitor the system this year as he felt it was due to the wetter than normal spring. He went over all the details or our system and explained the possible remedies along with an estimated cost; should we need to make any changes in the future. We will definitely be using them for any of our future needs. Professional, courteous and punctual for the right price.

The provider showed up with all of the equipment, removed the broken water heater, cleaned up any remaining water, and set up the new unit. He made sure things were working well before he loaded up his tools, the old unit and left.

It went very well. They were very professional, showed up on time and had eveything they needed to do the job. The water heater had leaked a bit from the bottom and they cleaned up the mess from that and did a quality job of replacing the failing water heater with a very good replacement of the same high quality as I had before. Overall did a great job at a good price and left the place better then when they showed up. Great job Jolly.

I had Jolly Plumbing come and evaluate a similar issue several years before. They came out to estimate how much to replace the old cast iron vent stack that was cracked and releasing sewer gas. Since it involved ripping out walls, ceilings/or floor I kept putting this project off. Jolly Plumbing worked with me to find the less "messy" way to fix my problem. ( which involved going in through the floor on the 2nd floor instead of ripping out the ceiling. They also managed to thread the new pipe up through the old cast iron so that lessened the amount of ripping walls out and replacing roof materials. While for any major plumbing it can be always "too expensive" I felt the job was worth the money. Their estimate did not include repairwork of the floor or walls as that was to be done by my boyfriend.

It went very well they replaced a pipes that was causing things to back up in my sewage line under my driveway. They are very professional, punctual, and the cleaned up everything and there was nothing I had to do. And because of that theyare the only company that i will use going forward.

Outstanding. Called in the morning requested specific afternoon visit. Arrived on time, visually inspected toilet and stated that the likely fix would require snaking the toilet. Also provided additional advice on other flow-related issues. Extremely professional and courteous. Will always use Jolly from this point forward.

We feared we would have to replace the entire tub, but Dan was able to attach a new drain pipe to the old cement drain. He was professional, efficient and pleasant to work with. Price was reasonable, and even nicer with the Angie coupon. Parking in the Clifton area is limited, but Dan was able to find space and did not complain that he had to walk a block to get to the house. Kudos to Dan. We will request him again when the need arises or when we finally tackle the bathroom Reno!

I am very pleased with the result, with one exception. Dan had to cut the pipe a couple times to get a good fit. Instead of putting more pipe in place, he pulled the pipe down from the ceiling. While it reaches, it is putting strain on the pipe that he had to pull down. I would definitely recommend Jolly Plumbing to my neighbors and friends.

The tech was able to diagnose and repair the issues in a minimal amount of time. Their office promptly followed up with a bill in the mail which I just paid! I will be using Jolly from now on!

Came to the house, found what was wrong. Went over cost of new hot water heater. Went to get the new one (did charge me for the time he wasn't at my house though...???) Installed the new one and that was about it.

Dan gave me the requested 30 minute notification and arrived on-time. He was very professional and pleasant. Scheduling assistant was very professional and helpful. Our regular plumber recently retired so I am happy to have had such a great first experience. I will definitely use them again.

They did a great job. I had them hook up my kitchen sink and do some other plumbing work related to my kitchen.

The gentleman from Jolly quickly replaced the pipe and elbow and billed me fairly. The Angie's list discount was nice as well. Very professional and knowledgable.
