We remodeled our kitchen.  In the process we had removed two walls, eliminated one door and created a new entry.  This meant the configuration for the new cabinets would be different than the old ones. They also custom created a shallow closet in our laundry room so I could hang up brooms and mops (GREAT!) Also, they made a cabinet for the utility sink and the cabinets in our new bathroom.     For years, I had known that Barber Cabinet was a high-end cabinet maker.  I was leery of having them do an estimate for us because I thought their price would be prohibitive for us, but after some thought, I decided to have them measure and give us an estimate.  Their care in measuring and re-measuring, willingness to serve our needs, and the quality received for the dollars spent was well worth it.  They came to our house each and every time they said they would...there was no delay or re-scheduling on their part, which I appreciated greatly.They made sure as soon as the other work in the kitchen was completed and ready for the cabinets, they came out immediately to install the new cabinets. Our cabinets are beautiful and well-built.  I am completely satisfied and glad to use a local business.

I was quoted a completion time of 4 to 6 weeks and based my tearout on that time frame. Called at 5 weeks and cabinets had not been started. I had to call and call to get them to deliver the cabinets at 8 weeks from order date. When the cabinets arrived we found that the person who measured the wall had not taken into account the height of the outlets or light switch. Cabinets could not be installed until I could get an electrician in to move the outlets and switch, costing additional time, money and cancellation of the granite template. The measurements given for glass inserts for doors (measured by the same employee) were incorrect and had to be returned to the glass company to be re-cut, more additional cost. Cabinet was installed the following week. Baseboard was cut for around leg and not saved and is now missing from right side of the wall. Inside of the cabinet shelf was not properly painted, I called and let them know. The same employee said she would be in town and come by and look the beginning of the following week. That was over a week ago and I have not heard a word. I was given a 10% discount for my problems but most of that was eaten up by loss of time, additional cost and did not touch the frustration caused by the delay, subpar quality or lack of professionalism.

We met with Barber Cabinet various times to design the cabinets. They were very helpful in the designing process. We feel that we got a good price for what they did. Barbers are an established family business that has been around for a long time. Thanks to Terry Burns for the design help he gave.
