One of my cats peed on a brand new leather sofa. This was at 7 pm so I consulted the Internet on how to clean it. The next morning the cushions still smelled. I was referred to Sunshine Cleaners by another Angie's List provider. I spoke with Jeff Schwegmann, the 3rd generation owner when I called and he told me to bring in the cushions. After a very thorough inspection of the cushions he told me I had saved them by my initial actions. He didn't think it was wise to do an immersion cleaning of the cushions since it could cause fading or shrinkage. Instead, he spent 20 minutes showing me how to clean the cushions with a product I could buy at Krogers. He then told me how to get the cushions back into the leather covers and how I could get the color back if there were lines from the cleaning. It was obvious that he knew what he was talking about. I was so impressed that he would spend that much time helping me at no charge. I bought the product he reccommended and followed his instructions and I'm happy to say I no longer have any odor on the leather and it looks great! Jeff went above and beyond it terms of customer service. I will certainly recommend him and would use him again without hesitation even though his shop was 40 minutes from my home. Thanks Jeff!

One of my cats urinated on the cushions of my new leather sofa. NIGHTMARE!!!!! This happened at 7 pm so I looked on the Internet for suggestions for cleaning. The next morning I consulted Angies List for a provider. I really couldn't find anyone specifically for leather furniture cleaning but a dry cleaner on the list told me about Schwegmann's Sunshine Cleaners. I called them and spoke to Jeff who is the 3rd generation owner of the company. He told me he'd be happy to look at the cushions. I drove 40 minutes to the store and explained what happened. Jeff took the cushions out of the leather covers and really examined the material. He told me I had saved the leather by following the instructions I found on the Internet but there was still some residual odor. Jeff really didn't want to wash the entire cover because he was concerned about the color fading and shrinking. Instead, he spent 20 minutes showing me a solution I could make at home and how to use it on the leather to remove the remaining odor. HE WAS ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE!! He even gave me a website for leather care products they use in the shop. I went home and followed his instructions and by the next day all the odor was gone from my cushions. I cannot say enough about the helpfullness and integrity of this company. I would highly recommend them for any leather cleaning you may need. They also do wedding dress conservation.

The whole experience, as I described, was essentially flawless.
