This winter a careless driver left the road and 'trenched' an area of our front yard with his tires. I checked Angie's list and got estimates from a couple of highly rated companies. The first guy saw the small job and left without giving me an estimate, but from first contact, Roy Hardwick treated me and my small job like gold. Roy is the kind of person you actually enjoy doing business with. From my first email request on his website for an estimate to the follow up call he made yesterday as the work was finished, he was perfect. He is a great communicator and easy to reach, he is respectful, humble, considerate, knowledgeable, very easy to work with regarding different options and most of all, true to his word. Yesterday, he sent a crew of 6 men to take care of three area of my yard - sod replacement, small tree removed and another trimmed. Since i have always loved to watch people do their craft, I was particularly drawn to watching one man who was so methodical in planning how best to level an area for sod without restricting the natural flow and fall of the land. No dump and run, this guy added, smoothed and leveled, stood back and looked, and did this over and over until all was simply perfect before laying the sod, rolling, pinning and watering it in. I commented on his 'eye for detail' and that's when he introduced himself as Michael and told me he was Roy's son. Guess the apple didn't fall far from that tree! He asked me to do a walk though of all the finished and spotted tiny things himself that needed that final 'clean up' touch and took care of them. Perfect. My only regret in hiring Roy Hardwick and Royal Landscaping is that I didn't have more work for them to do. I would recommend them highly to anyone and while he was very gracious to take on my small task, his is the kind of company you want for the big job with a personal touch. Roy and his team are very friendly, courteous, professional and punctual. They arrived exactly when they said they would for the quote and the work. Roy brings a large team and gets the job done quickly. He is very easy to work with and he does all he can to please the customer. He drew a great color sketch on site at quote time and explained in detail the plants he proposed: size growth, color, how to care for, etc. The landscape looked great. After two weeks we decided we did not like the type of stone used for the walking path. Roy quickly offered to replace them or give a refund. His pricing was reasonable as far as landscaping goes. All landscaping is expensive.

Roy has an amazing eye for plantings and hard scapes. His team is professional and courteous. They come in like an army, do a great job, knock the work out quickly and leave the home immaculate

He is great. He was nice enough and not to push me as far as doing the landscaping himself. He said he will come out and do a dry up for me so that I could save money by doing it myself. When they came out to do the shrub removal and trimming they were very quick. They guys were friendly. They worked hard and they cleaned up after themselves really well.

Excellent job, we are very impressed with their work.

Roy and his team get the job done! They are prompt and clean up their mess. They will come out and do maintenance on your landscaping twice a year for a very reasonable cost. Very responsive to the homeowner's plans for landscaping. We have had them do several projects at our house and will continue to use them for sure.
