Description of Work: Refrigerator was not cooling or freezing. Made arrangements to come the day I called. Immediately analyzed the problem and ordered the part while at the house. I didn't have to miss work when he came to install the part. Called me at work to tell me the part had resolved the issue and the refrigerator was cooling.

We had water pooling at the bottom of our freezer - a stand beside refrigerator/freezer. He was able to come by the same day we called, fixed the problem and only charged the service fee. He was knowledgable and very kind. He made sure to show us how the problem occurred and how to avoid it in the future. All in all it was an easy fix and he was in and out quickly. Oh, and he knocked softly which was so nice considering we had a baby sleeping! That's so thoughtful!
Description of Work: Good, fast and knowledgable.

Called 8:30am 9/14, was out at noon same day. 3 year old side-by-side fridge was not holding temperature in fridge side only. Turns out we had a container blocking the vent in the back, keeping the cold air from circulating. It took him 10 seconds to fix it. Easiest $70 he's probably ever made but he admitted others might have charged me for a new thermastat. He told us if it did not maintain temp to call him back because he guaranteed his work. Told him that was the most expensive lessen I've had since paying for college. Very friendly, talked to our 4 yro. and showed us some maintenance items and even gave advice on our dishwasher.

How did it go? Extremely well. He came out same-day and on-time with less than expected total costs. His disposition was accommodating and up-beat. His professionalism was top-notch. It's nice to know there is someone in his field that we can trust to be professional, respectful and trustworthy. I'd recommend him to any of my friends.
Description of Work: Fridge stopped working. Replaced defrosting components so the air could flow from freezer side to fridge side and defrost effectively.

I've used Williams Appliance Repair for several years now and have never been anything but happy with their service. I wish I could find more people like Ed Williams and his son -- if it's broke, they seem to be able to fix it! I estimate they've easily saved me several thousand dollars in replacement costs. They return calls, they show up when they say they will, they're pleasant, and they're pragmatic -- they'll tell you if it's not worth fixing. Their service call charge is $80, but they roll it into the repairs, and those don't seem insanely expensive so it all sort of balances out; especially when you consider the alternative. They've straightened out a bad dishwasher-installation job by a far-more-expensive 'master' plumber, they've resuscitated my refrigerator, and when my it looked like my old dryer wasn't worth the repair costs, it was totally worth $80 to me to get Ed's advice on which brand would be a more-reliable replacement. And they're very patient with my "our old refrigerator (or dryer, or dishwasher) lasted 30 (or 25, or 20) years" rant. All in all, the only way I could be happier with these guys is if they worked for free, but since we want them to stay in business, I guess I can live with the present arrangement.
