Description of Work: We contacted this company to have a new heating and a/c system stalled. They installed everything, cleaned up their mess, we paid in full and they left. In a matter of a few days we had problems, this happened several times. If they came we had to pay between 3 & $500.00 because the "problem" wasn't covered by the warranty. The unit has NEVER worked properly. They finally stopped taking our phone calls. We have had another heat & a/c company come check it out and have been told the unit is just a lemon. He even called Lennox and tried to talk to them about how it could be "fixed". They could not figure it out either. Their advice-call Total Comfort. We tried to tell them that we have already been that route and received NO help whatsoever. We have the thermostat on 70 and it is still about 64 degrees mostly blowing cold air. The 'em heat' runs all the time, our electric bills are terrible. In the summer we set it on 69-70 and it will be 80.

+ -1 moreThey have Lennox air conditioning units which I think is the best unit available. They installed our unit initially and have done a few tune ups and maintenance throughout the years. They also installed a new thermostat that I think is working a lot better than the one we had before.
Description of Work: I hired Total Comfort to install a condesor motor in our existing air conditioning unit that they installed in 1987.

+ -1 moresame as above. this is however at the place of my employment, but my co-worker and i have been the ones dealing with the company first hand.
Description of Work: price still accumilating, cleaned the inside and outside units and filled with freon, then left. no better than it was. two days later returned and technicion did'nt even know which was the return vent, he filled with freon again and left. next day new technition leak tested and found a small* leak and supposedly fixed it. filled with freon and left. next day UV dye leak test said no leaks filled with freon and left. now still no A/C and it's been a week and a half. hard to get in touch with dispatcher as they have an answering service. all in all BAD experience and the 3 different techs seem to have a lack of knowledge in their field.

+ -1 moreThe technician was prompt, courteous and efficient. He explained everything and did a great job. This is a new air conditioner and it apparently wasn't fully charged on installation with refrigerant. He replaced the refrigerant and it works perfectly. The whole experience was great until he gave me a bill for $250+ for one hour's work. Several neighbors have told me the same service for them cost under $100 from other companies.
Description of Work: Air conditioner repair. Refilled gas that had leaked out due to faulty installation.
