 + -1 moreHe did a very credible, thorough job, and we felt when he was done that we had a concrete list of things we could do to make our house more efficient (additional insulation in the attic, weatherstripping, outlet insulation, attic door and vent insulation)
Description of Work: After a $500 heating bill recently, we had Lexington Infrared do an audit of our home to find out how we could make it more efficient. He meticulously went through the house, using his infrared camera, taking pictures of potential problematic areas, and showing us what he was getting as he went. Later we got a written report in the mail, complete with pictures and recommendations

 + -1 moreThese guys were meticulous about their work, and even vacuumed after they were done to make sure they didn't leave anything for us to do after they left.
Description of Work: We hired Lexington Infrared to do some insulation for us after they completed an energy audit that identified problematic areas. After we got their quote, we called another company to get an estimate, and they were close, so I feel theirs was a good estimate. They completed not only the insulation we needed in the attic, but also weatherstripping on doors, outlet insulation, and attic door and vent insulation.

 + -1 moreVic Sabino performed an infrared inspection and energy audit on our home. The price was the same our lower than the other companies ($340). Lexington Infrared returned our calls and emails promptly and the inspection report was great (it included infrared pictures of the areas we need to address). We were very happy with the overall experience. I would recommend them with ease. Really, everyone should do this. Energy costs can be high and saving the money upfront to get an evaluation makes a lot of sense.
Description of Work: I called around to find an energy auditor. This was tough! I lucked out in finding such a competent service! They did a blower door test, infrared camera assessment, and visually evaluated duct and attic insulation deficiencies. He gave recommendations to improve overall efficiency and improve energy use and create greater savings. It was great finding out the building's (about 2500 sq ft) issues. I feel like the value was in the report itself and having a professional energy auditor perform the service.
