Description of Work: I called her when seeking a designer's help with a new condo. I told her that I was going to talk with a few different designers before I decided who to work with. She encouraged me to do so and then told me clearly and warmly what she could do to help me and her willingness to do so at a reasonable hourly rate.

Description of Work: We remodeled our home and added a bedroom and screened porch. Sarah Smith of Designs By Sarah, Richmond, KY, was our designer. We could not have achieved our goals without her. She is a knowledgeable designer. She knows building specifications and basic design principles. She made suggestions that we would never have thought of. She designed the project, including converting a study into another bathroom, a hallway, and a closet plumbed for the washer and dryer, and then adding a bedroom and screened porch onto the back of the house. She suggested three contractors and arranged appointments for us to meet them at our home, explain the project, review the design specifications, and seek bids. We chose a contractor after reviewing the bids. She worked closely with the contractor through the entire process. She was invaluable in recommending materials, design options, color considerations, and in finding materials. She brought samples of hard wood flooring, tile, rugs, drapes, lamps, etc. to the house. She continues to assist us in the final stages of decorating. Her fees were extremely reasonable, and she was worth every penny we paid her.
