Chuck Rader Master Painter & Remodeler

It took a few days, but they were there when they said they would be there. The work was above my expectation and reasonably priced. I asked for them to come as soon as they could and they fit me in their schedule as they had openings, with the understanding that they would normally start on a specific date and finish on a specific date. I need the work done quickly, so I preferred to piecemeal it. The price was competitive with other contractors and I got the job done more quickly than had I used other contractors.

Terrific experience, felt very comfortable with Chuck, and his crew was very friendly and professional. The painting job looks very good, all the trim and detail work is perfect. The outside wood work project was a lot of repair work, but it looks great, and they did everything I asked for. I was extremely impressed that they cleaned my windows (second story, I can't reach) and also cleaned the glass chandelier in the front hall----very nice, above and beyond what we discussed to be completed. I definitely would recommend, as well as plan to use their services again.

It was too expensive. It was about a year ago. It cost $3000-$4000 just for interior house. It is a carved wood work. Everything was like top notch. And he did probably like millionaire homes. He was really nice and was in order.

We had some water damage to our ceilings and walls due to several roof leaks. We needed some ceiling repair as well before they painted. Chuck Rader was extremely polite and punctual when he came over to give us an estimate. You can tell by talking with him that he values customer service above all else. For the amount of painting that needed to be done I felt the price was very fair. On the day of the job, he showed up with his crew and methodically went over with them what needed to be done. We were very pleased with the quality of the work. There were a few drips of ceiling paint that were on our walls but was really no big deal. There was a spot on the kitchen ceiling that they repaired and painted where you could still see a little bit of damage. Chuck did not hesitate to come by and look at it. He brought his crew back the next day to work on it and get the area looking like nothing ever happened. After they finished the area looked better but still could tell there had been damage. I don't think there is anything more they could do. Probably the only true fix is to drop the ceiling and replace the piece of drywall and repaint. The area looks a lot better than before. If I need a big paint job again, I will definately use Chuck.

Working with Chuck Rader was a good and easy experience. In my initial phone conversation, Chuck said what he thought it sounded like we needed for our deck staining project, but he would come out and see the deck to do the quote. I also had two other companies quote. As for price, Chuck and another company were the same and one was less. However, what made me go with Chuck was that I really felt that he knew his craft. He was the only one to tell me I needed to use a certain type of stain due to what I put on myself years ago. To be honest, at first, I questioned Chuck?s recommendation and used it to form leading questions for the other two companies ? eventually they confirmed the risk of not using what Chuck recommended unless major prep work was done, like sanding the whole deck or stripping it with chemicals. Since the recommended brand paint store was nearby, I picked up the color selection brochure and let Chuck know the choice. When the weather and pollen allowed, one person came to pressure wash with detergent. I had the deck empty. In the next weather window, they came and applied two coats of stain with sprayers. Before they started, they listened to what I wanted protected from overspray, etc. and that was mostly accomplished. They cleaned up well. A drop cloth must have moved on them and I had one square of some overspray but it brushed off with a broom. Having stained my deck myself the hard way, I was amazed at the speed of the 2-person crew ? it was literally less than 25% of the time it took me. The deck looks fantastic. The work is limited to the warranty of the product used, in this case 1-year. Hopefully, it keeps looking great for a relatively long time.

The men did a great job! They left it cleaner than how they found it. I gave the price a B because Chuck told me up front that they were not the cheapest operation in town. I knew that from a previous quote. I am very satisfied with the work that was done.

As of today (May 15, 2013) I have not received a call from the company. I assume they are not interested in my business. I think that if they can't be responsive on phone calls, they might not be responsive on a job.

He was fairly priced. We had to pick between four companies and they were all pretty good. We liked his price and he was very responsive. He could get the job done sooner than some of the others.

Their service is a little too pricey, but their service is nice. I think The guy who came to me is really nice and a good, but their service is just pricey. Their great overall. I am satisfied with their service.

After the initial consultation with Chuck, he accompanied his painters through the house detailing the job to be done. The painters were punctual, professional, polite, and very skilled. They cleaned up every evening prior to leaving and were very respectful of the contents of the house. The master bedroom proved to be a major challenge in removing old wallpaper. The techniques used to get it off the walls and then prepare the walls for paint were astounding. The finished product is just gorgeous. The wall are as smooth as silk. The guest bedrooms and connecting baths turned out lovely as well. When the job was nearing completion Chuck inspected the site to make sure it met his and my expectations. If you need painting done in or outside your house you would be wise to check with Chuck Rader for an estimate. I highly recommend this company.

Chuck Rader provided the clearest, most comprehensive bid, making it easy to understand the work to be performed. He was the only painter that could do extensive carpentry work and painting for a fair price. He showed up on time, did an outstanding job, and even did a few items more that we had asked. We had an incident where a light fixture was broken by accident. Chuck not only gave us a heads up that it had happened, but paid to get the expensive fixture restored to new condition.

Overall I was very pleased with the time that it took to complete the work. Had we tried to tackle this ourselves, we would still be setting up the ladders and buying supplies a month later, but the painter(s) were in and out in 3 and a half days for 5 rooms - two of which have vaulted ceilings and multiple angles and corners. I was less than pleased with the splatters and drops of paint that were left after the painter was finished. I expected that any drips or splatters would have either never happened due to proper draping and covering of floors and baseboards, or that any messes would be cleaned up and I would never know they happened. I contacted Chuck personally to let him know of the drops and splatters. He offered to come out and help clean them up himself - which says a lot and definitely softened me to the fact that these messes happened in the first place. I let him know that wasn't necessary, but thank you for the offer. While most have cleaned up with a little elbow grease on my part, some still remain, and there are a couple of spots on the carpet that have not come clean even with the help of a carpet cleaner (non-professional). I did give this service a C rating only for that fact. All other work, the patching of holes, etc. in the dry wall and overall quality of the painting would have gotten an A or B rating.

I got relocated and needed the whole interior of my house painted so we could rent it out. Chuck came out and gave us an estimate which was the cheapest of the three people we called from Angies list. Usually you never take the cheapest but Chuck was very personable and seemed to know his stuff. My wife and I really liked him and decided to give him our business. Chuck didn't try and sell us anything more than we needed. We were on a tight timeline and he worked us in using two of his best guys. They arrived on time and finished a day earlier than quoted which was still shorter than the other quotes. We are in the process of buying a home where the owners painted themselves and I only wised we lived in the same state cause I would definetely use him again to paint this house.

Went well. Had them paint additional space other than what the coupon covered. Coupon was a little misleading. It stated it was for one room but the amount covered was too small for any room much bigger than a pantry.

Excellent job. Got 5% off through this website. I still think the price could have been $100 less.

He sat down and gave me prices on future projects and worked with me on the current project. His assistant made a mistake and he came the next day to fix it. I am impressed with his professionalism and punctuality. Very rare in today's world.

They were great. They came out on time. They were prompt and professional. They were very thorough in the measurements and detailed. They were personable.

He did a wonderful job! He painted the room a color called Dill Pickle. He said he'd be here at 8 am with bells on and he was! The gentleman that works for him was outstanding. He gets an A+.

I have used Chuck's company before and they have been great to work with and always on time and work quietly and do not take a lot of breaks. They know what they are doing and they do it fast and very well. Love to deal with people who take pride in their work and do a great job. Thanks Chuck and crew.
