Description of Work: An appointment was set up on the phone to receive an estimate. The person on the phone was polite and professional. The service person was a no-show for the appointment, which was a pain and disappointing.

Description of Work: Chuck contacted me quickly to schedule a time to come out and estimate the job - the advertisement was a little mis-leading in how the room's square footage is calculated (which Chuck was very aware of as that's the first thing he explained when he called to schedule the estimate - to his credit he didn't want any dissatisfaction so covered it up front so you could request a refund immediately before he ever came back if you had a problem with it). To make a long story short, found out Chuck did not work late on weekdays or work on weekends & since I don't have a lot of vacation to burn sitting around the house watching contractors work it just doesn't work (I'm used to bigger metropolitan areas where the contractors expect to have to work around a customer's schedule and not the other way around; unless it's a long job of course).

Description of Work: Chuck and his team cleaned and painted my picket fence. They were prompt with the estimate and were able to complete the work and did not require my time or oversight. He was professional and even completed some touch up work without prompting. He went the extra mile by making certain the color matched the deck and play set while providing the best sealant. We will definitely use Chuck again,

Description of Work: I purchased the "Big Deal" for one room of interior painting for $100. I assumed a child's bedroom (walls only) would be covered by this but the wording seemed misleading in the fine print. The deal covered "walls in a room measuring 300 sq ft or less". The room is well under 300 sq ft but we were told the wall space square footage is used for painting, not the room's square footage.We were required to pay an additional $80.00 because I had already purchased the voucher and it would have otherwise not been used. The painter was prompt and finished two coats on the walls in exactly two hours. He did a nice job and I'm pleased with the final results. I've never paid for just one room of painting before, but $90.00 per hour for one painter seemed high to me. We provided the paint and did all prep work before he arrived. I would use Chuck Rader again, but I wish the fine print had been worded more clearly so that it would have been obvious that a normal size child's bedroom would not have been considered "one interior room".

Description of Work: Signed up for the Angie's Big Deal for $99.00 for painting one room. Paid the $99.00 through Angie's list. Mr. Rader called very promptly. Since our room was over the square footage, there was an additional charge of $88.00. I described the existing color of the walls and told him that we were going to a much lighter color. He estimated 2 gallons of paint. We decided on a time that week for the painter to arrive at 8 am. He arrived at 8:30. He painted two coats in 90 minutes. The result was streaks, poor coverage, and an overall poor job. I called Mr. Rader. He returned the call promptly. I told him the issue. He said it would need a third coat, and asked if I wanted them to come back. The new charge would be another $88.00. After having already paid 180.00, I said declined. I would not use this company again.

Description of Work: This is the second time I have used Mr. Radar for painting and deck work. He is a pleasure to work with and his crews are very professional. His prices are competitive

Description of Work: Chuck and crew painted the interior of a rental unit that I own. They were very thorough in the prep work required for a good job, filling holes, sanding walls, etc. They painted the ceilings, trim and all wall surfaces including closets and garage. I am very pleased and plan to use them soon for some work at my personal residence.

Description of Work: Workers were excellent, but owner was obsessed with the money, always asking about the next payment, overbid on extra work that I asked for, and picked the absolute wrong color for the foundation, blaming it on my wife and charging me for 10 cans of unusable paint. I would use his crew in a minute, but never would deal with him again.
