Description of Work: SERVPRO of Paducah essentially came in and gutted 85% of my entire home and rebuilt it over the course of 4-1/2 Months. This was an extremely large water damage claim where our home essentially was to quote my son on the evening we first discovered the damage "Dad our house is like the Titanic!!!" water was gushing from our front load Washer in the Laundry Room due to a faulty cold water valve. Upon arriving home at 5PM after a frantic call from my son then my wife I see water cascading down our driveway like a stream and my poor wife in the dark attempting to use the curb key to shout off the water main at the road but it is already dark and the water has flooded the meter box in our yard so she was unable to see the valve to shut off the water to the entire house. Upon her arrival, approximately 15 minutes prior to my arrival she has already shut off the main electric breaker to avoid anyone getting electrocuted and attempted to stop the washer from discharging any more water, but since the washer was not running at the time of the fault in the valve inside the washer itself and no one being unable to reach behind the stacked washer and dryer to turn off the hot or cold supply valves. She had located the curb key and called her father on how to shut off the water at the meter box out in front yard. Upon arriving, I take over and get water shut off and proceed into our now dark home using the light on my cell phone to track thru the standing water in our Titanic no I mean our kitchen to find our poor 19 year old son sitting in the laundry room floor soaking wet with his back against the door of the washer and legs braced across the room on the cabinetry trying to avoid the door from flying open and allowing another gush of water to discharge from the front of the washer. I immediately tell him to get up and start grabbing towels and get to help cleaning up the water and upon him moving just as he described in our earlier conversation on the phone the door flew open discharging 15-20 gallons of water that literally looked like a wave as it projected itself out of the laundry room and clear across our kitchen to where I was standing in an already standing pool of water.I assumed one of the supply line hoses had burst or failed in some way. Having turned off the water at the curb and opening the lower doors on the driveway releasing several inches of water like a mini tidal wave coursing down our driveway. At that moment I knew it was a situation way above our abilities so I called my homeowners insurance which initiated the call to ServPro Of Paducah for water removal from the house. Prior to this I had seen their commercial where they over and over state they will make it just like it never happened no matter what the disaster was and guess what they did. I was surprised how many different trades they were able to provide in the recovery of our home. They showed up almost immediately with huge fans and dehumidifiers that were the size of typical washer or dryer. They ran day and night for a couple of weeks. Once SERVPRO of Paducah had a walk thru of the home with their owner, design specialist for the cabinetry, their entire senior managers of each division along with my home insurance's adjuster they provided a extremely detailed estimate encompassing every facet of the complex stages of the project beginning to the end. Once the paperwork was signed it was crazy it was like one of the episodes of Extreme Home Makeover on TV. If it is possible I will attach pictures of literally 20 plus different trades vehicles circle around our neighborhood from all the various trades they had orchestrated to get my our house back to pre flood condition. The different design elements and choices were just like going to a fancy home decor/builder's showroom where my wife and I were able to look at all types of flooring materials and wall treatments, paint colors and all the other decisions needing to be made they often brought various samples of flooring to our hotel and even met us on our free time when they usually would be closed. We had just had a major remodel in our home completed in July of 2012 making our home ready for a new grand baby so we were expecting a how lot out of this company from the word go and let me just say we were not disappointed in the final product once all was finished. While this entire project was going on my entire family including myself, my wife, my two college age children son and daughter, my 14 year old daughter and one 6 month old granddaughter were all staying in the local hotel and eating out for every meal so to so we were a bit anxious toward the end of the project would be a huge understatement but we survived and actually made not only great working relationship with this company but also several friendships along the way. Any issue that has arisen since the completion of the project has been dealt with promptly and to our approval. I gave them all A because they truly earned them also if you ever look at any of my many reviews on other sights I rarely give such high marks to any project or product but with the magnitude of damage our home had received and for them to pull off as much as they did in short time span considering the various trades that were in the house at one time is a incredible feat in itself. Please know that each ServPro Company in your respective community is usually a franchise type business and they typically subcontract out several of the trades, I was extremely impressed with owner of ServPro in Paducah he was there on day one and gave me his personal cell phone number and email address as did each of his various division managers. Anytime I had an issue I would simply send a text message call the responsible manager and I would promptly get a call back or text message which in this type of constantly evolving project was extremely convenient and saved a lot of frustration and confusion. I was actually so impressed with their quality of work once the insurance portion of work was completed I had them do additional upgrades in the undamaged portions of the house bringing up to the same high quality as the refurbished portion of the home. I also want to add one thing when they say that they make it just like it never happen they take digital photos of the entire house the closets the contents of drawers they then meticulously wrap and box everything in entire affected portions of the house and to say we have more cooking and kitchen wares then your typical restaurant would be a extreme understatement but they put every item they removed from the house right back in place where they belonged right down to items that were in the dish drainer beside the sink! They also did a deep cleaning of the entire house where the various trades had kicked up dust that managed to find its way in the lone bedrooms unaffected by the water. Can I say with a clear conscious everything was done perfectly the first time and there were no unforeseen delays no but when any of these things did arise they were dealt with in a professional manner and we got what needed done as quickly as possible. Prior to using ServPro I reached out to 12 other local contractor within my community wanting to deal with people here in my local small community but not a single one could begin to offer a completion estimate anywhere close to the estimate offered by ServPro of Paducah. There were a bunch of extremely talented and professional individuals that work very hard for us thru this project. I also want to let you know I check with 3 references provided to me by SERVPRO of Paducah as well as the BBB of KY as well as Angie's list prior to deciding to ultimately to go with SERVPRO of Paducah if I had only went with the Angie's List review I would probably still be in the hotel waiting to get our home back in livable condition but I ask the owner if he was aware of the review and he stated no but would research it and upon researching he supplied me with plausible reason for the reviewer to be unhappy and that it appeared to be more of a issue with the reviewer's insurance adjuster than with SERVPRO of Paducah. Also I want to explain my delay in reviewing SERVPRO due to my health I have been unable to complete this for over a year but felt obligated it needed to be done to share my positive experience it had with SERVPRO of Paducah and whole heartedly recommend them to others!

The project went very well and I will have this Co. back in 8 or 9 years.
Description of Work: Cleaned the ducts for the two heating and A/C systems in our house. Did a great job and required about 6 hours on-site. Very neat and thorough. Found a lot of dirt, well worth the effort and espense.

It was a disaster. The project had no management whatsoever. I received a VERY detailed listing of everything to be replaced, repaired, removed, etc. that was also received by the insurance company. Grand total of the job was around $120,000. After FINALLY getting them there to work, they ripped everything out very quickly. From there, I pretty much had to call them everyday to see why they weren't there working only to receive answers of and quot; What is left to be done?and quot; and and quot; You mean that wasn't completed yet?and quot; and so forth. I had multiple meetings with their project manager and 3 meetings with the owner which included walk throughs pointing out shoddy work and work still not completed. After the meetings, things would improve for a few days and then they would disappear again. After being out of my house for 10 MONTHS, I fired them. I provided them with THEIR estimate of work to be performed itemizing what they did and didn't complete and offered them payment based on what was complete. That offer was around $38,000. After much arguing, they brought in ALL of their sub-contractors and we had another walk through using THEIR estimate and checking off the items that were completed. I conceded several items and and quot;pro-ratedand quot; a few shoddily completed items to settle on a parting total of around $43,000. I ended up performing much of the remaining work myself or hiring the sub-contractors myself and completing the work. I cannot emphasize strongly enough how poorly Servpro treated this project and me as a customer. On the plus side, spending 10 months in a Residence Inn gets you to Platinum Member status very quickly.
Description of Work: My area had an ice storm in Feb 2009 that crippled the entire area. As a result of a tree falling, my house caught fire and was severely damaged by fire, smoke, and water. My insurance company works with the national Servpro and recommended them for the cleanup and rebuild. They were there the next day to perform the estimate and have me sign the agreement locking me into their service. I then didn't see them again for 3 months. In fairness, they were swamped because of the widespread damage to the entire area. However, a phone call or response of SOME type would seem appropriate. The scope of the project was large. The entire inside of the house had to be rewired which necessitated removing what walls and ceiling were not burned and then rebuilding those. Hardwood floors had to be refinished, about half of the plumbing including fixtures, all new paint, carpet, roof, outside woodwork on about 1/4 of the house, new heating system, ceramic tile, and of course water removal and smoke smell elimination.

The original call and visit was very good.
Description of Work: We had to get certain other project finished before we can have them come and do the work for which we received an estimate. We have not completed those projects and will be contacting Servpro soon to set up a service date.
