Unique Granite & Marble

In preparation for the renovation of a kitchen and new countertop, I visited the office/showroom of Unique Granite & Marble in Owensboro, KY. Prior to the visit I measured and sketched a rough template providing the approximate sizes of the area that would be needed for the countertop. I included the size of the farm style sink that would be installed and the fact that only one hole would be necessary for the new faucet. When I arrived at the business, I was quickly greeted by a gentleman from the staff who reviewed my drawing and plans for the kitchen. He quickly prepared an estimate of square footage required. I was then guided to an area adjacent to their shop where there was a large selection of granite and marble slabs. After the slab selection was made I was able to specify the area of the slab that I wanted and the slab was marked for my job. A contract was then drawn up with the slab type/name, number of joints that would need to be cut, the edge type I wanted, type of finish (polished), and total square footage. I then put down 50% of the total for a deposit as required and provided them with an estimated date of installation. As the kitchen cabinet installation was running a bit late, I called them and let them know the new estimated install date. I was called again by Unique Granite when it was time for them to send out a technician to do the final measurement of the template and coordinated their visit with my kitchen renovation contractor. The man who came to do the measurement was very professional and quickly completed his measurement while working with my kitchen contractor. A date was then set for the installation. The installers arrived promptly on site along with my kitchen contractor. They worked together to ensure the proper fit for the sink and plumbing fixture. The workers were professional, respectful and quickly finished their job. The result was a perfect installation of my new kitchen countertop.
