BEWARE! BEWARE! THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM-ARTIST BUSINESS. They will do ANYTHING to get to come into your home to sell you ANYTHING. Everything they sell you is priced 4 to 5 times what it should cost in a place like Home Depot, Lowes or Menard's. ---------- They say that their products are much superior to anything you could buy elsewhere, when in actuality some of them are not equal to the quality of what you could buy in one of these 3 home-improvement places, nor do they have the newest innovations you will see in products you will see in any 1 of these 3 home-improvement stores. ---------- For the work in our home in Evansville, IN they DID NOT obtain a building permit (this is illegal in Vanderburgh County), and were fined. They did NOT use trained, licensed contractors to do the work (this is also illegal in Vanderburgh County), and were heavily fined because of this. One of our 4 cathedral windows was made with the glass pack turned backwards from the other 3. They promised us that our cathedral windows would make our living room much darker than before, but they were much brighter than before, making it impossible to see our TV. The salesman told us that our windows would be much darker just to make the sale! All they did was to install obscure glass (like in a shower door), which does not darken the windows at all. Also, most window companies install obscure glass with the frosted side inward, but they installed it with the frosted side outward, which tends to collect dust. ---------- They installed the service door in our garage, but--because it was so cold--and primarily because they were NOT trained, licensed installers, they put some of the screws in a bit crooked. We will have to have these screws re-installed. There is NOTHING hard about installing a screw perfectly straight, but these 2 guys were in a hurry to get the job done and get out of here! ---------- THV (True Home Value) will have you sign a contract of highly inflated prices where you are given one price for everything with nothing being itemized (you have 3 days to back out of this, and then you OWN this contract), then they will hold you to this price no matter what. WATCH OUT! ---------- They advertise all the time on WFIE-TV, and they tout a $25,000 give-away (where do they get this money?--from their overly charged customers!) Then they advertise that they are giving away $1000 in free merchandise from their company, but this is just to get inside your house to sell you many more of their products. The $1000 credit they give you will be applied to their productds, but you will end up paying much, much more! ---------- Do a Google search using "True Home Value" and you will find many very dissatisfied customers near the top of the search! Two men came to give me estimates on a bath / shower liner and replacement windows. They were SO PUSHY and RUDE that we never discussed the windows before I asked them to leave. I am a single, female homeowner. I asked a male friend to be here, and these salesmen were rude enough to keep speaking to him instead of me, even after I pointed out that he didn't live here. More than once, they told me perhaps I needed to consult with my boyfriend before making a decision. At one point, when I was repeatedly insisting that I wanted to get other estimates as well, these salesmen insisted that they needed an answer before they left. It was at that point that I gave them the answer of "NO" and walked them to the door. A couple of days later I received a follow up call asking if the sales manager could come to my home. I told them the sales manager was welcome to call me, but I didn't want another representative of theirs at my home. I never received that call. I will NEVER do business with them, even if it was FREE. - They are Extremely High Pressure sales - They fail to acknowledge that a female can be the sole decision maker. - They also insisted they would pull a credit report, in spite of me paying cash.
