My HP laptop started crashing with blue screens and application crashes. I tried everything I knew to do (ex-IT guy), so I hunted around and found that Office Max offered computer repair services. I took the laptop to them and they said they would scan and fix it for $159.00. For $179.00 they would scan, fix and guarantee the fix. They wanted their payment in advance before any work got started. I paid the $159.00 and left the laptop with them. Three days later they called and said it was ready for pickup. I asked what they did and they said it had a trojan and they cleaned it off. They wouldn't tell me which trojan had infected the machine or how they cleaned it. I took the laptop home and tried using it. It still was crashing with blue screens and application crashes, so I took it back to them. They kept it over the weekend and called again and said it was ready. I asked what they did and they said they cleaned another virus and trojan, but couldn't tell me which one. I took it home and it still crashed and burned as before. I took it back to Office Max and they said they had done all they could and suggested I wipe the hard drive and rebuild the machine. I asked if they could perform that service and they said NO as they didn't have a Windows 7 Home Premium DVD. They would refund the $159.00 or offer any other remuneration. I called Robert Stephen at Honest Computer Repair in Clarksville and he saved everything, formatted the hard drive and put everything back as before for $45. Now that's good service at a fair price. I guess it was my fault for giving Office Max the laptop, but I was desperate and my wife needed her computer back. FYI - Robert works out of his home so be prepared to strike up a conversation with his grandchildren while you wait.

Took my custom built pc to Robert thinking it was going to be a fairly simple job. I had one new 2TB hard drive to install and one additonal drive that had been installed during the custom build about a year ago but not visible to use. As it turned out, even though my case held the additional drive, there was no available SATA port on the MB or power supply. Robert was a great with helping me decide what route to go and in find a suitable part. Ended up adding a PCI Express SATA Controller, giving me two additional ports either inside the case or outside the case or split. This solution worked in addition to adding a splitter on the power supply. This was my first experience using Robert and Honest Computer Repair and it will not be my last. I could not be more pleased at the service, pricing or end result.
