The above pretty much covers it. I would never, ever recommend this company to anyone. It was a hide and seek game from the start. I don't have the time or patience for silly games with unprofessional contractors. They just lost several more jobs from me. I plan to use A & W Fence and Deck Company next...no reviews on them, but so far, they've done what they say, and that's a big improvement! I'll give a full report on them when they complete my current job.
Description of Work: Removed existing fencing, installed 95' privacy fence and 35' chain link fencing with gate, which was supposed to match the existing chain link in the yard. One problem is that the chain link Myers Fencing installed was 6 inches shorter than the existing chain link fencing. After dealing with him not returning calls, email, or doing anything he said he would do on time, I wondered after several weeks if I'd ever see him again. But, since I hadn't paid him yet (Thank God), he eventually came back and finished the job. He put back fencing that is 6 inches taller than the existing, which is better than shorter, but I don't understand why he couldn't measure the existing fence accurately from the beginning. Another problem is that Myers Fence Co. do almost nothing that they promise. When the workers didn't come back, I had to hire another contractor to clean up the branches he left for several weeks, killing the grass under them. His workers, who are far from professional, said they would haul off the HUGE pile of brush they cleared, once they emptied their truck of the fencing, the day they installed the fence. That never happened. When they did come back, a few weeks later, it was unannounced (standard practice for Myers Fencing). The worst problem is the lack of communication and refusal to respond to phone calls, which started from the first meeting, in early June, when Troy said he would email a quote. It took several calls, excuses, and a few weeks for him to actually email a quote, which is all I ever got in writing from him. From there it was a several week battle of trying to get in touch with him to see if and when he would return. His typical excuse was that his phone was out of range. Yes, I should have checked him out before I hired him, because his horrible record speaks for itself. So, if you're reading this, consider yourself warned! This is by far the most unprofessional, unreliable contractor I have ever used, and being a property developer, I use a lot of them! I wouldn't recommend Myers Fence Company to my worst enemy! It took from early June until yesterday, with several unreturned calls, to get the job done. But the good news is: Troy DID call yesterday!...so I guess he does call customers back, eventually, like the minute he finishes a job...he wants his MONEY!! Surprise, surprise!!
