Contrator wanted to charge $85 fee without previous warning for a service call when I felt his estimate for upgrades was too high. Offered to complete work at a discount that would not meet local inspection requirements. Ultimately charged $225 for a 30 minute job without any materials.
Description of Work: Upgrade two two-prong outlets to three-prong.

It appeared to be avery simple job. He left lots of scratches on freshly painted wall by switch plate he removed. Charged more than what we could have paid to have the unit installed.

The old fuse panels were removed. He consolidated to one breaker panel based on KU's meter spot. He did a nice job cleaning up and was very fast. There was only minimal drywall repair needed where the one panel was removed but not replaced. He's very experienced and professional. He's easy to talk to and easy to understand. Most importantly to me, there were no surprises. He did exactly what said he was going to do and it came out as planned. yes I would recommend him and I will use him again if the need arises.

Description of Work: Mr. Carroll came to our house for an estimate for a few things we needed repaired in our kitchen, including new under the cabinet lighting, repairing a light under our stove, and an estimate on running the wiring for pendant lights over our bar. He said he would get an estimate for us by Monday, 5/2. We called him on Tuesday 5/3 when we had not heard from him, and he apologized and said he has been backed up, but we would hear from him soon. Today is 5/17 and we have not yet heard from him. I am not sure if he expected it would be a bigger job, or what, but we will try someone else.

Called mid morning and within an hour of the initial call the gentlemen were onsite for the repair and out the door. Very pleased with the service and will use them again in the future if needed. Highly recommend!!!

We were on a tight deadline to move two electrical outlets before the cabinet company installed our cabinets. We called John Carrol inc and they came out in less than two days, did the work in several hours, cleaned up the work mess and did an excellent job.

Mr. Carroll is a long- experienced professional that I hired for the first time. He was knowledgable and arrived on time and completed the job to my expectations. Mr. Carroll answered my questions honestly and was always on time and very professional - I highly recommend him.
Description of Work: Mr. Carroll replaced entire electrical control box for house and existing garage and wired a 12x22 addition to the garage. He also made several miscellaneous electrical repairs needed in the house and garage.

He was professional and knowledgeable. The first time he did work for me, about a year ago, was to move an electrical pole from under the roof to on top of our roof. He charged me a reasonable rate for this service. It was literally half the price of the most expensive bid.
