I called him the first time about my job to receive an estimate. He advised me that he would show up that night after he had completed his job for the day. Later that night, he never showed up nor called me. The next day, I called him to ask him if he was still interested in the job being that he never showed up and I never heard from him, and I knew this was a smaller job. He advised me that he was going to turn it over to his son and his son would complete the services and the job. I've never heard from him or his son at all!

He never gave us an estimate so the work was never done.

Nothing to evaluate other than they did not contact me to look at my project to give me a bid.

Came out and they framed it up and had it done in a couple of days. Very friendly. Look good

Mike called fairly promptly and arrived to view the job on time. The work was scheduled for the following week. All work was done in a timely manner and was exactly what we were looking to have done. The only thiimg we were not happy about was that they did not remove the old concrete and blacktop until two days later. Otherwise, we were very happy with everything.

Might use contractor in the future - if they follow up. Left message on Jun 28 to request quote on small concrete job. No one returned the call.

Very professional. Alan answered all of my questions and got back to me quickly with a response. I ended up going with someone who was cheaper, but that may have been a mistake. I would consider Hemenway again for future projects. NOTE: I had previously posted a negative review for this company, but that was an error on my part. It was intended for another company. Sorry for any confusion.

Contractor was contacted for estimate nearly 6 months ago for an estimate to replace sidewalk sections identified by the city as trip hazards. Several additional sections were in poor condition and needed attention. I had asked for seperate estimates for these sections as well. I received the estimates very promptly and was happy that the combined estimate for all sections was very reasonable. Due to my own procrastination, I didn't contact Hemenway for several months, but the estimate was still good and work began within a few days. The work began and continued to completion without any delays. I have never hired out any concrete work, but was very happy with the quality of the pour and finish as well as the professionalism of the men working on the job. I have received several compliments from happy neighbors as well.

What took the previous contractor a week to perform was done in a day. The most up to date equipment. I never heard " can we borrow your tools ? ", not even once. Modern Renovations borrowed hammers, a hoe, a rake, wheel barrow, power chords, and my shovel. Leave it to the professionals in concrete! A general contractor is NOT the way to go in concrete. The only problem I had with Hemenway was when Mark left town for another project. The leadership departed, and his foreman was not as professional. He expected payment prior to finishing the job. We exchanged words, and he seemed to think I should seed the lawn. Why am I paying you Bob ? I had to force the issue on seeding the grass, and spreading the straw to protect it. I stayed the course as Mark had verbally promised it. The next day they came over, and they did exactfly that. However they failed to pick up the left over stones, and rocks from the demolition. My wife and I are cleaning that up this wx. I am very grateful for the rescue, and so are my neighbors who frequently walk by. One bad egg in the bunch does not spoil the whole bunch. Thank you Mark for the rescue! :)

I would like to stress that the quality of the work was excellent, and we were very pleased with the structure and appearance of the patio when the job was finished. We did have some issues with scheduling the work, and getting the contractor to clean up after the work was done. Overall, I would recommend Hemenway Concrete.

OUTSTANDING Mr. Hemenway and his crew where very helpfull when ever I had any questions. Mr. Hemenway was almost always on site. Very impressed. The finished product is great ...

It was okay. They did a decently good job. They did show up most of the time when they said they were going to, weather did determine some of the schedule. All in all they did a good job.

Went well, we have had an extremely wet year, but contractor worked on days that it was possible to work and was very responsive to my emails and phonecalls

They sounded very professional and as far I could say, based on the little research on the subject, they were very professional. I spoke to them only for few minutes. I think they were reasonable and they are one of the companies I am considering. I will get a quote from them in the future if necessary.

Mark Hemenway provided a thorough consultation and explanation of proposed work and materials to be used. Satisfactorily answered all my questions. Did not feel rushed or pressured. Provided a written quote including material to be used. He and his crew showed up promptly on the date and time promised. Arrived with all the necessary materials, tools and equipment. Crew was dressed appropriately and were very pleasant. Extremely pleased with the quality of their workmanship. Completed the job, including clean up, in one day. Have witnessed some badly botched, shotty concrete work in the past, but no worries here - I highly recommend Hemenway.

There was one contractor and several sub-contractors. I spent about $4000 on that work. I liked everything about them. They were very good, clean, cleaned up the mess and were fast. They did a good job and I had no complaints. His name is Mark and he was excellent. He was very professional and he is real down to earth. I had no problems and I am going to get him to do some more work for me. The pricing was comparable.
