Description of Work: On Friday, May 6th, I returned home around 3:30 with my son to find our grass cut and our basketball goal lying on the ground. Upon further inspection I notice a large gash in the right front corner of the base of the goal. I also notice tire tracks from the mower in the fresh dirt where the goal previously stood, telling me that it was definitely the lawn care company that damaged the goal. The plexiglass backboard also had some "feathering" near the metal rim as if it had hit the ground pretty hard. Needless to say I was pretty upset that no one bothered to leave a note or call me or my husband. Once I spoke to the owner he acted very nonchalant about the whole thing. I explained to him that his employees destroyed my son's basketball goal and I expected it to be replaced. That night he came by, saw the damage, spoke to my husband and said he would go to Walmart right then and replace it. On May 12th my son and I are sitting out front and his crew shows up and starts unloading their gear to cut my grass (the grass my son cut the night before!) and I had to tell them that we canceled their account. Two days later after we heard nothing I filed a complaint with the BBB. The BBB complaint went for 30 days and he didn't even respond to them!To me this guy is being a jerk. This is why small businesses get insurance. What's a $288 basketball goal to this company? Well, it's a lot to my 10 year old son on these nice sunny days. Come on, man up!
