+ -1 moreThe contracting company Home Depot hires, K & W mechanical installed the hot water heater. It is a GE hot water heater, it labels more than once not to sawder the threaded fittings while they are on the hot water heater, there is supposed to be a distance between the hot water heater and the sawdering. I pointed it out before they began, but they continued to do it anyways. There is no way for me to know if the damage has occurred since it would be internal, unless the hot water heater does not last the 12 years is it supposed to. I feel that since there is a label, it must be important not to perform the service. When they were done, they carried plastic scrap piping through my garage and scratched my car. They also had removed the old hot water heater, while they were loading the outlets were not plugged properly and a large pile of rust was on my driveway. They did not clean it up or even tell me about it, I found it later. K &W mechanical is the only company that Home Depot will use in this area to contract this type of work. Even after my complaint, they were just going to send the same company, same technician back out.
Description of Work: I purchased a hot water heater from them and paid them for installation.
