I had a fantastic experience with Dullaghan Restorations. The owner, Tim, personally went with me to Louisville to secure the pump organ, went over restoration options with me and provided a completely accurate quotation. Their prices are reasonable for the great quality they provide. His master wood craftsman, Rex, did an incredibly creative and great quality job in the restoration and did it ahead of schedule. Plus I received regular updates. They delivered it right on time and provided valuable tips for keeping it looking sharp. This is the most recent of several jobs that Tim and Rex have done for my family in the past year - each one has been stellar in quality and workmanship. The pride they put into making the final product perfect really comes through. They have done an excellent job each time that has brought 1880s furniture that sometimes was not in good shape back to life, while having it still look vintage, just like it was made in the 19th century, and they have taken care to really treat the furniture as it is was for their own home. This is really a wonderful, friendly company to work with. They can be hard to locate (behind the Newport Shopping Mall and your GPS will not get you there - just go to the Newport Mall and then drive to the area behind the mall after you pass the laundromat), but trust me that you are in really good hands if you hire them to restore any of your antique furniture that you want to bring into mint condition without losing that antique feel. So far they have restored antique Eastlake mirrors, antique Eastlake tables and this Victorian pump organ conversion, all to our family's complete satisfaction, and I tend to have high expectations.

They picked up the piece of furniture from the consignment shop, took it back to their shop where it took about a week or two to refinish. They delivered the piece to my house and placed it where I wanted it. The new piece matches my dining room table perfectly. You wouldn't know that they were not companion pieces. Their work is outstanding and if I have anything else that ever needs to be refinished I will definitely be using them again!
