Not every house or commercial building needs diagnostic testing. Many older homes and commercial buildings have features that require diagnostic testing to determine which type of system to install. Diagnostic testing of sub-concrete slab soil conditions have saved our clients several hundreds or even thousands of dollars. We have 4 convenient locations; Somerset, Bowling Green, Elizabethtown, and Lexington. Please call us for more details.

The entire crew - Mr. Huff, Drema, Nate, Christopher, Jose, and Tate -- were a dream team for this project. No one wants to find radon in their home and have it mitigated. However, if you do find it, you want someone who would take care of you like family From every interaction, it was clear Advanced Radon KY strives for excellence in all they do - and we weren't just another customer. You won't receive better care, professionalism, or service from any other company. And that's an investment that is priceless. I highly recommend Advanced Radon.

This company does exactly what it says and the workers are so meticulous in and around the home while working. The owner Edwin Huff makes a point to ensure all of his customers are satisfied before finishing the job. It makes a difference when you deal with the owner and he truly wants to make his customers happy.
Description of Work: We were concerned about radon at our vacation home on Lake Cumberland. We asked Advanced Radon to test our home. I'm glad we did because it tested too high and needed mitigation to remove the gas. Advanced Radon Service then gave us a very fair quote for all the work that needed to be done and completed the work within 2 days.

I selected Advanced Radon Services, Inc. because Mr. Edwin Huff listened to my concerns the best of all firms quoted. In addition, Mr. Huff explained their system to me in detail. I had read a lot online and viewed numerous YouTube videos to have an appreciation for what Mr. Huff explained. I had purchased a continuous radon monitor. My average readings before the radon mitigation system was installed were 16.7 Pico curies. Afterwards, I’m averaging 0.40. I definitely recommend Advanced Radon Services, Inc.

Fantastic job! I was sold before they came out, but they are quite knowledgeable and professional (you often get what you pay for from what I researched about their competition). We were buying our house, so they were very patient with us and our scheduling around other contractors. They did a suction test from one side of the basement to the other after checking the material under the basement concrete (gravel - not perfect, but good) and then recommended the perfect setup. They came back and installed a system so well that it looked like it was meant to be there - beautiful work both inside and out. The crew that came was friendly, professional and considerate, making sure to clean-up well after the work was done. Our pre-tests were done as part of the purchase and matched their later testing in the high teens and low twenties (pCi/L) and post-mitigation testing also matched (theirs and ours) at levels well under the EPA's 4 pCi/L limit. It's going on three months and our long-term average digital detector is showing only 1.5 pCi/L. I had not realized (and few others, besides Advanced Radon, seemed to think) that our area is in an EPA "red" zone on the national map and radon should be high priority issue for detection in schools and other places throughout the entire county. We'll happily see them again every 2 years for checkups. Thanks to Advanced Radon for making our home a healthier place for us, especially our children!

Walt and his team were very professional and did a great job. They were very professional through the entire process from the initial quote until the results came back showing our Radon level went from 14.6 to 2.2!! We evaluated multiple companies and, while Advanced Radon Services was not the least expensive, they were by far the most thorough and detailed. They explained every step they would take and followed through with each piece. Our health and well being of everyone in this house was worth it to us.

Edwin was very responsive and communicated all contingencies. A contract was provided and the work was performed according to contract. Their work was very professional and the piping was finished nicely. The staff followed up as expected. They came to perform follow up testing as agreed.

We initially contacted Randy after we got a results from a charcoal radon test, which was 130 (EPA says you shouldn't have anything above a 4). Randy was so concerned, he sent one of his electronic testers over the next day. This test came back with roughly 130 as well. They drew up a system and gave us a quote. Randy and Edwin answered a lot of questions to help us understand what they would do, how they would do it, and settle any concerns we had. When they showed up to do the work, the first thing they did was put down a drop cloth over the hardwood floors where they would be walking. We've dealt with a lot of contractors and unfortunately this type of courtesy is not common. Randy reviewed the system with me and his guys before work commenced. It meant a lot that the guy that gave us a quote and had the information was on the site the entire time the work was being performed, AND that he was actually doing to the work with his crew. Due to the high level of radon, we were concerned whether the system we had paid for would need additions to get us under the EPA recommended 4. But we're down to 0.1! I can't thank Advanced Radon Services (ARS) enough for all the time they spent talking with us and installing a quality system in our home. I would definitely use them again, and highly recommend them. We talked with several other companies, and got lots of quotes. ARS was actually one of the cheapest quotes we got. I also don't think the more expensive outfits would have installed a better quality system.
Description of Work: Install radon mediation system - already had vapor barrier in crawlspace and stubbed 3" PVC from crawl up to attic. They installed pipe under the existing vapor barrier, improved the vapor barrier to reduce leakage, installed radon fan in attic, and stubbed vent pipe out through the roof.

Edwin and his crew roughed-in a radon pipe in my house which is currently under construction. Not only were they punctual, thorough, and excellent, they were very accommodating. Edwin expected the builder to be on site to show them where they should install the pipe (so that they would not be in the way of any plumbing or electrical lines). The builder didn't come by but told Edwin on the phone to go ahead and install around plumbing. The builder forgot that the existing plumbing lines were going to be moved (because the floor plan was going to be reconfigured). The builder finally came by when Edwin and crew were nearly finished the installation. The builder saw that the placement of the pipe was going to be in the way of the future plumbing lines. He asked Edwin to take the pipe out and re-run it in a different route. Even though Edwin asked the builder to be present BEFORE they began the job, and even though Edwin had installed the pipe as per the builders instruction, around the EXISTING plumbing, he did not show his frustration AT ALL at this request. He calmly went back to work, re-ran the pipe and finished the job. Edwin and crew are TRUE professionals and I would highly recommend these guys!! Thanks, Edwin!
