Third time he has come out to fix the microwave. The $90 is his house call and not his labor charge. He seems to know what he is doing. He loves to explain in detail the mechanics of the appliance. Our Microwave is a built-in above the stove and he will not remove it to work on it. If it needs to be taken down or put back up--that is up to us. He won't do that. Paying him is difficult. He wants to be paid at time of service. His ad in yellow pages says he takes credit cards but he does NOT. We have had an issue with payment because I prefer NOT to write personal checks but he insisted on it. Then he holds the check for long periods of time. Once he waited and cashed it just before a payday and the check bounced. So now he only accepts cash only. He doesn't even trust the bank with a money order or a bill pay check.

He arrived on time. But at that point everything went down hill. Our new fridge was not cooling like it should. The thermostat went from 1- 5, 5 was highest setting. Standard was 3 for correct coolness. I told him milk was warm on three. He took out this tool that you touched to a can, carton, ect.. and it would read the temperature. He told me the temp was fine. I told him yes it is, but the fridge is set at its highest setting, it should be froze. He took off the back of the upper freezer to check the coils, everything looked fine. During this time he was bragging on already doing 3 service calls that morning. It was only 11am. The jobs were in Morristown Tn. and that's a 45 min drive. Told me nothing was wrong with the fridge and he would tell Whirlpool that his findings were that the fridge was fine. My man wasn't at the house at the time, and he came across that I was beneath him: Being a woman an all. This man was extremely rude, insensitive, disrespectful, and obnoxious. I was getting infuriated. As he was walking to his truck I asked him what I should tell my man when he came home and the milk was warm. He refused to answer. Never would I let this man on my property again. I have had a different company come out, and they had to change the thermostat. So if you live in the East TN/KY area I suggest you use someone else. No one should have to endure this man's arrogance.
