Charged for time not on the job. Was told had to order part. Ended up ot needing part. Was going to charge 3 times what the part actually cost. Called company and was treated very rude Charged wet dollars and actually did nothing.

Charged for time not at job. Arrived at 12:15 wrote on ticket 12:00 left for 20 min to get part they forgot left at 1:45 wrote on ticket 2:00. 10 minutes at their truck on their phones. Total time working 1 hour. Charged for 2 hours work. When I ask the employer writing the ticket why they were charging me for 12-2 and for the 20 minutes he was gone he sighed rolled his eyes and stated we went to get a part for a job you wanted done. My husband called the owner at 10 till 2 and the receptionist stated she would call back once they returned to the office, an hour later my husband again called their office for explanation on charges and again she stated she would call back, after another 30 minutes he called again and finally spoke with the owner who then stated they charged for travel time, and time spent having to get parts. At no time during any conversation reguarding the service cost was it mentioned we would be responsible for their travel time, shopping time for poor planning or time spent on their phones. During the time they were in the house they never covered their wet dirty shoes when walking on our new carpet.

I contacted Carter plumbing because I was going to have work done on my house to fix the sagging. I explained "Very Clearly" what had to be done and even had Mr. Hopper come out to the house and give them an idea of what to expect. The job they would have to do is remove all plumbing from a certain line that was drawn under the house and move out our ductwork as well. The plumbing had been there since the hosue was built, but I had just replaced all of my ductwork because of an earlier project. I asked that it be saved if possible and he assured me that we could reuse some of it. Also, they needed to be there on time since our work depened on them doing theirs first. The day arrived and 6 guys showed up at me house. Instead of talking to me, they went to the other guys who were working on the house and talked to them. The other company said that eveything had to go! So they got in and started tearing everything out from under the house. After about 20 minutes, all six guys left! An hour later 2 other guys show up and they are NOT happy about the job. They are cussing and complaining because "no one else was going to show up and help". Then, they started taking out our new ductwork and just throwing it into the back yard. I approaced them and said we had to reuse it, and it didn't matter. They literally destroyed every bit of it. When they finally got finished, they put one thin piece of plastic over the center and said that they could reuse it. They Left. (I actually took a video of them doing all of this) About 6 hours of work here.. They also unhooked our gas line from our HVAC unit and left it open, I mentioned that I smelled gas and they said it was nothing and left... We had to call the gas company, which caused an emergency.. wasn't pretty.. Part of the "Contract " was that they returned that Friday morning to get us at least a shower and a toilet working so that we could go back home and no longer have to live in a Hotel. Friday morning they show up, (6 guys again).. Well, the other comany had about 15 minutes worth of stuff to finsh so they said we will be done in a few.. I was paying the plumbers, but they left anyway!. After numerous calls to Carter, Finally, 2 guys show back up. They didn't ask which bathroom or shower or anything, they just went to work. They ended getting the water on, but they hooked up the wrong shower (It was broke) and we had no Hot water. Well, they apologized and they left for the weekend. (3 hours work) My wife and I had to end up staying at the Hotel for another WEEK becasue of their incompetance. Finally, the following week, we got our water hooked up (4 more hours of work) and everything was fine (until we found out that our clothes washer had no water going to it) so it took days for them to come back out and fix the problem. When I got the bill, it showed a slew of materials that they never used, and it showed double for all of the hours worked. I called their office and complained, and they stated that they "May" not have been the best at keeping track of their times, so they dropped 3 hours off. After more calls by me, they wouldn't budge any more. It was a NIGTMARE STAY AWAY from CARTER plumbing....

Everything was very good. My ac wasn't working and it turned out to be my thermostat. They replaced and it and cleaned out the entire unit. The ac unit actually ended up working better. I was very pleased with their services.

I've had a plumbing experience with them as well as an air conditioner issue. For the plumbing we noticed our sump pump running almost constantly but it had not rained. They sent two men out the same day we called and within 2 hours had determined where the broken line was in the ground outside the house, dug it up, fixed it, and moved all the dirt back. They were very kind as to remove their boots before coming in the house to keep from getting dirt on the floor. Our air conditioner had gone on the fritz and they came out the same day as called and within about 45 minutes had determined the capacitor had to be replaced and had our air back up and running again! Wonderful service!
