Do Not Hire! Poor service, incomplete applications, no follow up, faulty billing. Anything that a service business could do wrong, they did - and often multiple times. I hired this service a couple of summers ago. They offered a good price and the ability to cancel at any time. After two incomplete and ineffective applications, I attempted to cancel. Several emails and phone calls later, (each expressing my wish to cancel), they treated my lawn and charged me for it. After not paying for the application, I received a call that offered to cancel my service if I paid for the last one. I agreed... Two months later, Weed Man came out and treated my lawn again without my authorization and against my wishes - and again sent me a bill. I spoke with the manager several times throughout this ordeal, and was assured each time it would be taken care of. Never was - I ended up paying for the application two years later to clean up what they reported to the credit bureau. Numerous reports throughout Louisville and the state of Kentucky with similar issues. Buyer Beware!

Weed Man promised to kill weeds. Their basic package did not and I was frustrated. I did not want to continue paying "one-off", "special" charges to remove the many different types of weeds that exist. Therefore, I called and emailed to cancel my service and I requested a refund of the services not yet provided. I spoke with the manager and we exchanged over 20 emails. They promised me my money back. It never came and it has still not come. They have asked me to "ask my mailman"! It has been two months. This is the most truly awful customer service I have ever experienced.

Weed man talked us into paying for the year for a discounted price. If we had not paid for the year, we would have discontinued service right away. Weed man uses granular chemicals, so we thought it was strange we never saw any granular on the sidewalk. This makes me wonder if they ever even applied the weed killer. The yard is full of weeds. We called to complain not less than 6 times throughout the year and the yard remains full of weeds. The salesman also promised to get rid of the Bermuda grass. Anyone in this area knows it is impossible to get rid of this grass short of killing the whole yard. This is just an example if how dishonest the company is. Do not use this company. We will never use them again.

Unfortunately, our experience has been similar to others'. My wife and I used Weedman Lawn Services for roughly one year leading up to November 2013. We decided to cancel our account because the very hot/dry summer of 2013 made it tough to maintain the condition of our yard given that we weren't willing to water the lawn for an hour each evening. It was frustrating, though not unexpected, that Weedman continued to come out and "treat" our lawn like clockwork even though it wasn't responding given that we weren't "watering in" the treatments in lieu of rain. At the time we wanted to cancel, we had an outstanding payment due, which caused our account to be put on hold (along with service). We paid the outstanding balanced of $38 and closed our account. In January, Weedman performed another service on our yard. We called to remind them that our account had been closed and the woman we spoke to apologized, assured us it was a billing error and said the charge would be removed. In February, Weedman performed ANOTHER service on our yard and issued another invoice. At this point, we were billed for $76: $38 for the January service and $38 for the February service. We called again to complain that our account had been closed and another representative apologized and said our account would be cleared up by the owner. As of March we have not received additional treatments. However, as April we began receiving late notices with past due penalties. We called again. Same story..."your account will be closed by the owner, sorry for the inconvenience." In May, we received another late notice, this time with threats of turning our account over to a collection agency. Another call to Weedman. In June we received a notice that we had 10 days to settle our account. On June 18, the owner FINALLY called my wife around 715 p.m. He explained that we must pay for the January payment since they hadn't actually closed our account at that point. They cashed the check in December, then reinstated the account as active, which resulted in the January treatment. He agreed to remove the late penalties and the February service fee and discontinue his efforts with the collection agency. We agreed to pay the $38 out of complete frustration, but with the promise that our account would be settled. Given that this has been the only time we've been able to speak directly with the owner, it seemed like a bargain to get these people to finally GO AWAY. This represents awful business practice, but since they could not lose us as customers for a second time, they really had nothing to lose. Good riddance to Weedman.

They were reliable at first. However, we had an incident last time where they said they came and did an application. They were supposed to do the front and back yard but the day they said they did the job I never saw them in the backyard because I was there. They did the front yard but they never did the backyard. I already sent them a mail that I will not use them again. When we had problem with our weeds before, we called them and they came for another application. But what happened recently is not acceptable because he lied. He even said that he was with his supervisor which is another lies. This left us wondering how many times they did this to us when we were not home. They gave us a 5% pre paid discount.

They come out every two months. They are excellent and I will continue to use them in the future.

They are a big company, and they are OK, I don’t want to rave about them, they are satisfactory. It’s one of those things where we are just stuck with them, it’s better than having dandelions all over our lawn, but there is nothing I have noticed that is outstanding. I would use them in the future, but if I find a better company, I would switch, or if I were really looking for lawn service, I would not pick them, I would look.

I used Weedman's service for 3 years, enough time to allow their products and services to truly effect my lawn. The product did, in fact prevent weeds, but also allowed other problems to move into my yard. Upon contacting Weedman about the issue and threatening to close my account, it was agreed they would treat the problem at no cost to me, using a product that required two applications. After the first application, they wanted to charge me for the second visit. Per our agreement, I called in August and ended my association with the company, leaving a message with Chuck, and asking for a return phone call to confirm.One month later, in September, Weedman treated my lawn with their regular fertilizer, leaving a bill on my door for $70.62. Upon a second phone call to cancel my service, asking them to negate the charge, I spoke with Dave, who argued with my reasoning. I asked him to again cancel my service and remove the charge. After nearly 20 minutes of talking in circles (first with the secretary, then with Dave), he sent me an email and suggested I call back to discuss the account "so we are on the same page." The email confirmed that the charge came in September, one month after I had cancelled my account. I responded as such in my email, asking yet again for my account to be closed.In November, I received yet another call that my account had an outstanding balance. I called again, leaving a message, and received a return call the next day. Again, Dave suggested that I pay Weedman for the service. This time, he explained that their agreements are on a continuous annual basis, and "I should charge you for the other two services later this year, too." Agreements can only be changed during the winter months. This is when I agreed to pay the balance and end all association with Weedman.I would highly encourage anyone considering working with this company to avoid doing so. They use unscrupulous tactics to get your business and lock you into their services. They offer suggestive sales techniques using a bait-and-switch strategy. It is important to know, although unadvertised, that services CANNOT be cancelled at any time.To be clear, I did not file a complaint with the BBB because my issue has been resolved. I agreed to pay the charge to make it go away and end my association with the business. My issue is their unscrupulous business practices.Worst mistake I ever made on my lawn was to use this service. Bottom line: STAY AWAY FROM WEEDMAN!

.The worst reponse that I have ever dealt with. There is no 48 hour guarantee. It is just something that looks great on a brouchure.

I found them through a flyer that I received in the mail. Overall, the service I received was average; however, they were better than average on being responsive and punctual. I would use them again for future lawn care service. I wasn't unhappy with the work performed.

We have a longstanding contract with them. They come out on a prearranged schedule. We've used them for several years.

Mostly okay. We have two dogs and asked that they call us to make an appointment before each treatment so that we could have the dogs out of the yard. This didn't always happen. Most of the weeds were taken care of and the grass did look green, but the chemicals didn't kill violets in the yard. I asked them to come back and treat them again, which they did without charge, but the violets are still there. On a couple of occasions they offered to treat for grubs or nut sedge, at an additional cost, of course, and we declined. We didn't sign a contract for this year, but they came and did the first treatment anyway and tried to bill us for it. I have called 3 times now to say that we won't pay for services we didn't ask for, but we continue to get robo-calls asking for payment. I'm a little tired of that.

Dealing with Weedman of KY was the worst experience I have ever had with any company who has done work at my home. They performed a service on my lawn that I DID NOT ask for and then the billed me for it. They refused to admit any wrong doing. I think they have unethical selling practices. They tried to get me to pay for a service that I didn't agree too. They were hired to spray my lawn for weeds and nothing else but they areated my lawn and then billed for it. They knew exactly what they were doing and they knew I had no choice but to pay them or they would turn my account over to a collection agency. They were rude and I would warn everyone to NOT do business with them. THey have MULTIBLE complaints against them at the BBB. They are an unethical company with dishonest selling practices.
