VanMeter Contracting

We met Mr. VanMeter thru a mutual friend and he gave us estimate. We met at the property and after a thorough inspection, Mr. VanMeter wrote up needed items and a couple of things that would help with mainaining the property (rehanging the gutters etc). He was prompt courteous and very knowledgeable about the repairs. He advised he would try matching the aluminum as it had been some years since we did the other side of the garage. We agreed to the price which was very reasonable and set a time to begin. Due to weather conditions, rain, etc we had to postpone the start, but Mr. VanMeter kept us updated on when he could start. He was able to come very close to a color match on the Aluminum and we were pleased with this efforts. He oftained permission to enter the next door neighbors yard and set up scaffolding prior to the work beginningd. His crew was appro 1 hour late that first morning, but Mr. VanMeter and his son were already getting things set and working on the prep. There was no waiting for work to begin, so the job was finished in good time and the clean up was very thorough. Nails and waste were all removed promptly and Mr VanMeter helped with patch work on a few shingles at no charge.

I had a list of general repairs in the house. He did some basic exterior work on house (caulking) but not everything was treated after further review of work (a few weeks later). We had him give us a price to do additional work, the next week when he comes back to do the work, he tells us he cant do it for the price he originally quoted, we pay him for the work already done and he leaves but says to put a list together and he will give me a price for everything to work on another day when he comes back. I send him the list. Call and follow up to get price and he never responds.

I met Willie VanMeter through a realtor friend . He looked over the job for gutters. Gave me a good price, I accepted and he was on site early the next morning. His crew was ready to work, they asked questions about the down spouts for gutters and went to work. A great looking job, they cleaned up all the cutting and worked fast to get the job done. While the trucks were being loaded we talked with Willie about the siding, he gave us a price and we agreed to have the job done. He made sure to ask the neighbors about the scaffolding he would need to set up in their yard to access the second story of our garage. Early the next morning they arrived, set up the scaffolding and within 4-5 hours the siding was done. There was a small tear in the garage shingles from wind storms, my 65 year old husband was going to do this; Willie took the few extra minutes to fix this for us. I was very pleased as this kept hubby off the ladder and out of harms way. They cleaned up all the boxes, vinyl and really did a super job. I would recommend this contractor to anyone, he will give you a fair price and good work, quickly done and keep you informed during the work. He is someone I will call on again.
