Two Men And A Truck

We used this company to move out-of-state. Getting a quote and setting up service with Cheryl was very easy and made me feel secure with choosing them for our first interstate move and our first time using a moving company. They sent us a reminder, which made me feel even more comfortable. Prior to the move date, we were told they would be there at 8a, but the reminder said between 8a-10a. The morning of the move, the driver called me around 9a saying they were on their way. They arrived around 930. The driver and mover was great. We thought they would be the ones with us for the whole move. After six plus hours of moving in the rain, we were informed we would have a new mover and we wouldn't have our items delivered until the next day. Mind you, we had to drive 3 hours to our new destination and we had our family with us. With no place to sleep. We called the office to see if we could keep the mover we had and long story short, the manager said no. It's cheaper to get a hotel and the mover is needed on another route. Luckily, our family was okay with sleeping on blow up mattresses, we made it work! However, I didn't like how Cheryl said we should've stayed in a hotel after the manager made that suggestion. We're paying a not-so-cheap amount for a service, it's not Cheryl's place to tell us we should've stayed at a hotel. Her rude remark was unprofessional and unwarranted. The manager assured us our items would be delivered first thing the next morning. 8am sharp! 10a rolls around and the drivers are about to pull up with the truck at the new location. The deiver was given the wrong address to pick up the new mover which made him late. I called the Louisville office and Cheryl again, said we have the same address they have. I made sure to tell Cheryl, that address is null and void because it was the wrong address and your men are late because of it. The manager said there was nothing they could do. After the move, we noticed our washer and dryer wasn't working. The washer sounded like scrap metal ans the dryer was burning. We called and left a voice-mail after hours for them to get it first thing. A new manager called and asked about the washer and dryer. We had to wait three days for them to send a vendor out. They gave the vendor the wrong address. I gave the vendor the correct address. With him having the wrong address intially, it made him rush through our appointment. He called the office to tell them he found a nail clipper and it was our fault. We didn't have any issues with our washer and dryer before the move. However, he left it at that. My husband took the washer apart and found out the washer was bent inside from them not securing it enough. He called the vendor and the manager back to let them know it was indeed their fault and not ours. We also had to buy another dryer vent for the dryer because the movers didn't bring ours nor tell us about it. Overall, the movers were great. Aside from the washer and dryer situation, they were great! They're the reason for two stars and not one. The office personnel on the other hand, awful!

Movers were prompt and did a fairly good job with most things. As we were at her new place organizing things as they brought them in, we kept waiting on the television. Since it was the last thing on the truck, we thought it would be the first off the truck. After most everything was moved in and we were going over paper work, here came the TV. "I'm afraid I've got some bad news" says one of the movers. Without them saying what happened, it was pretty obvious what happened. The TV wasn't boxed or wrapped and you could tell the load in the truck slid back and bent the TV in the middle from the back to the front. The guys had made a feeble attempt to tape the frame back together. We plugged it in and it powers up and the picture is ok but there are two points on the screen where it looks like someone is pressing on the LED panel from behind. Kind of like what it looks like when you press on a laptop screen. They said their boss would come by and take a look. He did and agreed that at least the frame needed to be replaced. 24 hours later they changed their mind and said it's not their fault. So, a 6 month old 47" Samsung smart TV is damaged during the move and it's not their fault. I understand that things can get damaged during a move, but when that happens a company needs to stand up and take responsibility. That's why they're bonded and insured. I will NEVER use this company again and I will say as many bad things about them as possible to anyone who's thinking of using them.

All went well. On time, quick work, very professional yet very friendly and personable.

The men that performed the move were excellent. They worked quickly, carefully and were pleasant. I had numerous issues with the customer service/office staff. Two days before my move, they called having lost my addresses. At that time, I discovered they had forgotten my "packing estimate." So a day before they nearly doubled my estimate-at this late change I had no choice but to still use them. The office also changed the time of the move from afternoon to morning without telling me. Worst of all, over a week later, they sent an email stating that the movers had undercharged me on the day of the move by mistake, so they went ahead and charged my card with the new amount. I sent many emails to the company disputing this charge and it's legality as I never signed for this amount, but he company never issued a refund. I will NEVER use this company again and have recommended to everyone that they cannot be trusted.

They were slow to respond by email was the only negative part of the experience. And I had to ask for the quote almost 2 weeks after the inspection. HOWEVER, the movers were clean, CHEERFUL, cooperative, extremely polite and personable. They worked well as a team, and communicated easily with each other and with me. They made a very harrowing process easy and reduced my stress level considerably. Terry S was the Team Leader and he was also training a new member of the crew, so I got 5 movers for the cost of 4! It was fascinating to watch Terry teach, encourage and correct his workers. He used positive reinforcement in a way I that was totally refreshing. The whole crew seemed to enjoy working together, and that reduced my stress as well. Terry, Ryan, Daniel, Sullivan and Corea each welcomed me to my new home in a very sincere manner, and each was kind, efficient, clean and I felt totally comfortable having them in my home. Also, the final cost was much less than I had budgeted for the project. I would definitely use them again.

It went exactly as planned. The guys were friendly and personable, and were fast. Everything was well wrapped and cared for from start to finish. I appreciated how they asked questions when needed to make sure things ended up in the correct rooms. Overall, I was very happy with services. First time ever using a mover before, and I would use them again.

As far as moving goes, it went smooth.

During this entire process, I have spoken to and met with 5 moving companies. Every company sent a professionally dressed representative who properly took notes of my inventory, emailed an estimate to me within a day or two AND even followed up with a phone call asking if I had made a decision. Should you be looking for a company to handle a local or long-distance move, I suggest calling the Chamberlain Lane office of Two Men and a Truck and speak with Christine. She is wonderful. She promptly returns phone calls, returns emails and is very helpful in answering any and all questions you may have. In the end, I chose to go with a major carrier since I needed a few days in between my loading/unloading dates due to my son going to school. My move will take place the end of October.

These guys rocked. The move was completely drama free. I've never seen two guys work so hard. It was extremely easy setting up our moving day and the guys showed up on time and basically worked nonstop until everything was in the new house. I honestly couldn't believe they could work that hard for that many hours straight! They did not complain at all and responded to everything I asked with and quot;Yes ma'am!and quot; I felt very spoiled. We moved our one bedroom half of a duplex in the HIghlands to a 4 bedroom house in St. Matthews and it took about 6 hours. These guys were extremely conscientious about the time as it's not cheap to hire a mover. They took a couple breaks and made sure they didn't charge for that time. I would use them again in a minute. Nothing damaged, they were extremely careful with our new hardwood floors and paint, and had great attitudes. I will recommend them to everyone. The price above includes a $100 charge for a piano.

Mother had to leave her assisted living facility to go to a full care Nursing Home. This left an apartment of items 95 years in the making. Personally, I never knew 1 woman could have so many clothes, but she did. We packed the clothes, stripped the beds and took home the things that she may need at a later time. Two Men and a Truck arrived at 10 am, boxed up her kitchen and moved her things to a storage facility. Being new to storage facilities, I didn't know the pricing. They gave us a reference to check out and it was a site nearby and it had reasonable rates when I compared to places around Lexington. In my opinion, they went beyond their duties in the care they gave Mother's personals. They treated her things like they were their very own Mother's things. I give them the best rating I can and I will recommend them to all the people I know who are soon to move and plan on a move in the near future, like my daughter. If you need a good moving company, I can't emphasize Two Men and a Truck enough. They treated us like family, not customers. The whole move cost us 600.00 USD with them packing the kitchen items. Fast, friendly and efficient. A+

Their price was very fair, they were prompt, and their service was first class. They were courteous.

The movers arrived on time and were fast and professional. They called to let me know they were on their way. Once they arrived we reviewed the paperwork that was required and did a walk through to review items that would be moved and assess any pre move damage. Once the items were packed on the truck and driven to the storage facility the movers made sure that everything fit and was secure. Once everything was secured the final bill was given, lower than the estimate given.

The move was fine. The guys were quick, responsive, and professional. The one thing that stuck out was that the estimate of the cost was about a 3 fold off what the cost o the move ended up being. The cost of the move at the end was on par with what we expected, but it was significantly off from the estimate. It did end up to be a lot more than expected.

It went well. I was completely happy with the service they provided.

They were careful with the large pieces as well as the delicate things. They workers were friendly and professional, and I was pleased with their service. I would definitely use them again.

I've used them in the past. The experience was fabulous.

They were very good. As soon as they were in one morning they tried to pack us, but they stuck into our car punctured a hole in the car door. There was a lot of waiting on my part. They did pay for car rental for us to get up to Milwaukee. They also did pay for the repairs of the car, but it definitely gave me a headache. Had we not had our car just in the body shop like 2 weeks prior to that I don't know if I would have really brought in the car, but there was a big basketball size hole in our car. It was not drivable either. There were a lot of phone calls that happened that next day and the next, and that was a big headache. The guys that moved us were average. They didn't do a superior job. They didn't do a terrible job either. Most of our stuff came intact. They were a few things that were broken, but I don't know if the things that were broken were in better shape. I wouldn't necessarily blame them, but they probably could have been a little bit more careful and gentle.
