 + -1 moreMy movers, John and Jason, were great and very respectful. The only problem I had was that none of us recalled that they had taken off the door to the study to remove a large desk and it needed to be put back on its hinges. I did not feel that this was important enough to ask them to come back and fix. I did like their work and tipped them 20% in cash for the hour that they actually moved the items. The other 45 minutes I paid for were as a result of the drive time ( they charged for 30 minutes to my home and 15 minutes back to their location that was added to the bill).
Description of Work: Moved furniture inside home and seven items to an apartment I was renting while home being repaired.

 + -1 moreIt was fantastic. The customer service on the front end was great. I worked mostly with Ryan over the phone. I provided him with a list of all of the items we were wanting moved, and he was able to provide a very clear estimate of the cost and amount of time required for the move. The movers - William, Gary, and Andrew - arrived on time and were absolutely amazing. They worked quickly and carefully, and seemed to have it all down to a science. My husband and I were in shock that, at the end of the day, we had actually moved out the entire apartment.
Description of Work: They moved us from our two bedroom, third floor condo into a 1.5 story house.

 + -1 moreI used Two Men and a Truck a year ago with my move. They were remarkably fast, efficient and pleasant. They took note of the condition both houses and my belongings to make sure no damage occurred. They also made sure I was happy with the arrangement of all the furniture in the new house, including reassembling large furniture like my bed frame. We were in the new house in less than 3 hours!
Description of Work: I used Two Men and a Truck to move from a second floor apartment to a two story house.

 + -1 moreThey arrived early, which was excellent! The service was excellent. The two employees explained everything to me from the beginning. They told me they would take breaks, lunch, etc. off of the clock. That worked great and I bought their lunch because I was so pleased with the help.
Description of Work: This company was great when we used them 10 years ago and they are still great today. The advantage is that you can move yourself with a rental truck (Penske is the best--remember that!) and use this fine company to help load or unload your things. I believe they also offer a packing service and sell high quality furniture pads, but I didn't use either of these products. Two guys showed up with one truck and they loaded my Penske rental truck in a matter of a few hours. All I did was direct traffic. This company is so ethical that the two employees worried about how many hours I was using to load a 24 foot truck! They brought shrink-wrap for all of my furniture and there was no charge for this. They also tied my load down with rope--which the company rep asked me to provide--so that it was safe for a long haul. It worked out great. This company is veyr flexible and allowed me to change my reservation when my closing date was moved up. I would recommend them to anyone I care about.

 + -1 moreMovers hired to move me from two bedroom apartment to three bed room home. Originally, three individuals showed up but one of them had to leave due to a personal emergency. I rated them only good on price, quality and responsiveness as I received the services as I expected them. I wasn't expecting great service from a local mover. It is basically contracting with a company that is going to hire labor for the day to fill out the manpower needs. When you hire these local movers, it is someone who owns (one of) a local franchise. However, one person was the primary contractor and possibly an actual employee of the franchise. The company was willing to go to a second site (mini-warehouse) to pick up additional items without an extra charge. They took care in insuring that no damage was done to a newly constructed home and that there was no damage to the items moved. I cannot recall any items being damaged. The move finished in the expected time.
Description of Work: The company was hired to move two bedrooms, living room and small home office from a two bedroom, second floor apartment to a three bedroom home. Additional services included one additional stop at a different location to load additional furniture.

 + -1 moreThey were good. They did a pretty good job. A couple of pieces of the furniture got nicked up, but they were pretty efficient for the most part. They charge from the time that they leave their office until the time that they get back to their office, which was not entirely disclosed.

 + -1 moreThey are a good outfit to use for moving but I wish they had gotten to my home to move me when they said they would be. They were about a half hour late but I guess that was alright, I would still use them in the future. They were professional and very courteous to us.
Description of Work: They moved my 1 bedroom apartment, including a bed, 4 pieces of furniture, a couch and personal items across town about 5 miles away. They did not help me pack and everything was transported safely.
