I will find another lawn service company. But honestly, if you are looking for a company to treat your lawn, stay away from Scotts. Once they get their money, they lose interest. Again, their products are very good, but this branch/division of Scott's is poorly run and operated. Very unprofessional.
Description of Work: I have been with Scott's for 3 or 4 years. Each year I have had to call them to remind them that they were only doing about half of our lawn. We have a fenced area, but also have grass beyond the fence on the side and back. They have consistently missed those areas!! It is obvious to the eye, as there are weeds and bare spots where they didn't treat, compared to the areas they did treat. Last season, after many phone calls, and absolutely no satisfaction, the manager there, Josh Smith came to my home on a Saturday morning to have a look. He saw exactly what I had been calling about, and apologized several times. He told me that he would send someone to finally treat the large areas that had been missed, for at least 2 years! Someone came that next week, and again, ONLY TREATED THE AREAS THAT HAD ALREADY BEEN DONE!! I called Josh, and he couldn't believe it! So again, he sent someone, and they finally treated the missed areas. Just 2 weeks later, the areas they had finally treated correctly (and which I had been paying for the past few years) greened up, the weeds were finally gone. My husband and I were so pleased that finally, they got it right! I fully planned to stay with Scotts, as I do like their products. So when I received the bill a couple of weeks ago, for $458.85, I called and left a detailed message for Josh asking if they'd discount the amount for this year due to the fact that they hadn't treated the entire area for the past couple of years (and again, Josh saw the property last fall, and totally agreed that his folks were missing a huge part of my property that I had paid for). The girl took the information, and I asked her to be sure he call my cell phone number, as we were heading out of town. Three weeks passed and Josh did not call me. I called again yesterday, leaving another detailed message, and not happy that the Josh, had not returned my call. Again, I asked that he call my cell phone number, as I was in work, and the girl, Kathy who took the information knew that I wanted the return call on my cell number, and she even recited the number to me. Josh did not call me back on my cell. However, when I got home from work, I had a message on my home phone from Josh. He basically told me that they had numerous complaints from me in their record, that they had been undercharging me along, and that they were going to increase my annual bill! He said that they had had several managers at my home, and my issues were unfounded, and that their "record" was full of comments from calls I had made! (well, no kidding! I paid in advance for a service, and I was only getting a fraction of what I paid for!!!) He ended the message by telling me that they deleted my account from their system, and that I should call another company to perform my lawn service. I am shocked, and appalled that as large a company as Scotts is, that they would have such a poor manager and division here in Louisville. I wonder if they have an idea of what a circus this Scotts is here.
