TIM STENGEL CERAMIC TILE

Shower looks nice, and hopefully he did the job so that it won't leak again. Floor has an issue which, unfortunately for us, probably cannot be fixed at this point since he never came back as he said he would. Tim Stengel frequently doesn?t show up when he says he will and doesn?t call to advise of any changes. Rearranged our schedules to wait for him 3 different days that he said he would come but never showed. This is on top of a number of unreturned phone calls. Six months later, we're still trying to get him to finish a small grout issue! Lesson learned: NEVER EVER pay until work is completely and properly done. Should have put more stock in the 2008 reviewer who had a similar experience because it doesn?t appear that anything has changed. Suggest you peruse Angie's List for other good tile men out there. Update 2/3/2013: A lady at Mees Tile phoned Tim Stengel for us to see if he could please finish the job. He called us immediately but was angry that we had contacted Mees. Said he would come Thurs. or Fri. He actually called on Wed. to say he was working in the other end of town and could he come Mon. or Tues. instead. We agreed. That was over 4 weeks ago, and, of course, he still hasn't come or called although we rearranged our schedules once again to accommodate him. Incredible! We live 10 min. from both Mees and Louisville Tile, so he is in our area frequently. Last week, I called Mees to speak to a manager thinking they would want to know because Stengel is on their list of recommended tile men and not representing them well. I spoke to Todd Meyer but feel like I wasted my breath. I learned right off the bat that he is a personal friend of Tim Stengel and thinks Angie's List is terrible (both are Mr. Meyer's words). I asked if he planned to ask Stengel about the situation, and he replied that he didn't know. I requested a call back if he talked to him as I would like to know what the heck is going on. A week and a half later, I'm assuming he decided not to bother him with my problem or has just sided with his friend. Very disappointing. At this point, we feel as if we have no recourse but to warn others and will look for someone else to finish the grout in our bath. Why he didn't install all the grout originally is beyond us, but he even mentioned to us as he packed up that he would come back the next week to complete it. The fact that Tim Stengel lacks the integrity to live up to his word is his problem even more than ours. No one we know would have been as patient as we have been, but we're done now.

He said he was very busy. He would end up coming by in the evening without calling me and never came when he said he would. I am still searching for someone do to that work.
