Terminix® - Louisville -Termite & Pest Control

I purchase brown recluse spider service from Terminix in Louisville, KY. I gave them one complete year for their service to take effect. After one full year of service with multiple additional service calls I have finally decided to try a competitor. The Terminix service technician said that additional spraying would likely not help the problem so it really made no sense to continue on. The spider issue not only did not get better but actually got worse both in my garage where it started and more spiders in my home. Here is some photographic evidence: [*** Link removed ***] Terminix has said they are sorry the spider problem did not get better, but kept 90% of the $1,315 that was spent on the service for the year.

AWESOME, I would highly recommend this company from the sales manger (Alex Streets) to the technician! They were very professional, personable, and understood the situation that was a serious matter. Mr. Streets came on a Thursday to explained the services they will provide, what will be done, the price , and the start date. The next day the job was done and completed and we were happy by the end of the day! On Saturday morning, another gentleman came to check on the situation and put out more bait he was equally professional and personable. Overall we are beyond happy!!!

The Customer Service of this organization was the worst I have ever experienced. Several calls made to the call center with the promise of the local rep to return the calls that didn't happen. After the online chat with the call center the service manager finally called back and after I expressed what I needed he proceeded to tell me that he had been doing his job for 39 years and didn't need me to tell him how to do it. He then said he was going to cancel my service and asked me if I needed the phone number to another service provider. He was very rude and obnoxious. I will be looking for another service provider and hope that this helps anyone else looking to do business with the Louisville area Terminix.

A salesman came around and convinced my wife, and we were stuck with them for a year. Happy to get rid of them. I do a much better job now of spraying than they did. They were a regular exterminator. They want to get you on a one-year contract, then they extend it every year. I don't think they're worse than other companies in the business. I don't want to make it sound like that, but I'm generally opposed to these contracts, because the work isn't done as thoroughly as I can do it. The worst thing was that as winter was coming, say like November, they come out to do their quarterly work and because it was coming on winter and there's no real problem with anything, it was a very short visit, and it really made me feel cheated. I thought it wasn't thorough enough for that. I think it'd be good to give them a lower grade and kind of a kick in the butt because if they're going to sell something like that for a high price like $90 a visit, four times is $360, I think they should earn the money. I actually worked closely with the guy that did finally come the second time and we had a conversation about what I expected, and he did a better job. I had to kind of stay with him to encourage that, too. I don't think they're worse than anybody else, but I don't recommend this kind of service to any homeowner who's willing to spend a little effort of his own with Ortho bug killing spray. It's effective, you buy it at a hardware store. It's called Ortho Home Defense Insect Killer. Every time we think we've got a little too many insects, I spray everything again. I spray the interior of our rooms in the house; I spray the garage; I spray the exterior, and it's proven very effective. I think training their exterminators to spray in the most effective parts of the buildings that they treat; I think retraining would be a really good idea. The second operator we got, the second exterminator, technician if you will, explained a lot about the effectiveness and how to go about spraying and what he does, and he did a very thorough job. Two out of three times he visited he did a very thorough job. He also educated me so that I could do a better job. I took everything out of the garage before he came so that he could spray the full inner perimeter of the garage. I made great effort to try to get the best job done that I could.

We had a bunch of stuff done. They could have been more thorough.

It was a deal that we signed up. We would use somebody else.

It went fine. I don?t see any termites. They have a pest service as well and they came out pretty promptly when we had millworms on our kitchen ceiling and we haven?t seen them since they came out. The guy helped me dismantle the cabinet for the treatments, he was very nice and very helpful.

They are a great company and I love doing business with them.

They were not able to respond to the customers need as far as scheduling goes.

Sometimes they don’t give us too much of a notice though.

We have service with them. We have yearly service for termites on a contract.

Initially, I was satisfied. They would be bring heavy duty bottles and go around the house. Eventually, they changed their way of doing things and I wasn't satisfied because I still had bugs and insects around. They use to come every month and then they changed to every 3 month because supposedly their spray was stronger. They started coming around with a small 6oz bottle and spray. I cancelled their services as they were charging me the same price for 3 months vs. monthly.

We almost signed then and there, but decided we should think about it for a couple of days. We decided to look on Angie's List. Terminix had a rating of B, and some of the comments made me reconsider. I found another company that received an A on Angie's List and called them for a second opinion. They came out today, treated for carpenter bees, said there was no evidence of termites (they thought it was carpenter ants), and we would not need termite treatment. The second company charged $125, said we did not need a contract, to call them next year if we wished and they would come out free to inspect. This second company saved us $1700! To anyone reading this, I would recommend that if you call Terminix and they give you a price, you might want to get a second opinion.

I feel like I have taken. The work was done poorly. The work was so terrible. I don't want them back in my house. I had given them the chance to come back, but I don't want them near in my house again. The one thousand of that was totally unneeded. They're unprofessional. They did not communicate very well with us. It was bad. I wasted a lot of money. I can't think of any positive about the situation.

It's okay. They can't get underneath the house.

They seemed knowledgeable about the issue that we were having and their price was reasonable compared to other providers. They addressed the issue very quickly and they were out to our house the next day. We had them come back out for an intermittent treatment and they responded quickly. They resolved the problem.

My appointment was 8-10 am. The service provider did not arrive until 11 am. When he did arrive, I was in the garage, which was open. He could see me and I could see him. He spent about 10 minutes on a personal call before he even introduced himself or even started anything with the service. When he completed his call, he did introduce himself and asked what type pest problems I had and where. He was a very friendly individual. Other than the tardiness and a bit of unprofessionalism, things went well.

I like the fact that there are no bugs in my house. I don’t care but my wife and daughter don’t like spiders and they are happy now.

It went fine. There were two people that came. One was for the spraying and the other person was for the termite inspection. The person spraying for the bugs, etc. showed up at the last minute but once he was there, he went through and sprayed. The termite inspector was early and went into detail about what he was doing and told me what they could offer.

I worked with technician Aaron. He sprays in my basement and garage when needed. He goes out of the way to do a little extra. He even uses a broom to knock down spider webs. He is kind person. I trust him. I have been very pleased and recommend him to anyone.

We discussed my iproblem and he listened yo attempted to figure out thow to solve the issue.

We were told they would do whatever it takes to get rid of the bed bugs. For seven months they have been coming out w a spray can. This is not even close to solving the issue. My mother is 78 years old and on a very limited income, this was a sacrifice for her to pay these high prices and to still be living w the infestation after 7 months. I would not recommend them for anything.

Daniel was the best! He was kind, patient, humorous, anxious to please and went beyond my helping me scoot and move things. Great technician!

The response was great, they sent someone out right away that afternoon. They did try to sell other services while on the phone w/o knowing if I had a problem or not. The gentlemen arrived @ our house, I led him to the bathroom where we had seen some termites. He looked @ the small hole in our wall and said he could not tell what type of problem I had and without seeing the insect there was nothing he could do. He would spray around the house if I wanted him to, but other than that there was nothing he could do or recommend yet. He literally spend less than one minute & a half in our house. He did not charge for the call. Later in the week we called another company who came out, crawled under our crawlspace, checked our garage behind the bathroom and found the problem, YES WE DID HAVE TERMITES AS WE SUSPECTED!! They spent over an hour inspecting and going over the options & cost for a solution to our problem. I cannot recommend a company who does not do a complete job or can't find the problem when it was very obvious to another company & ourselves.

Richard was there on time, greeted us with a smile and was extremely polite and friendly. He explained to us what he will be doing and explained that the spray he will be using is not harmless and in which ways it could be. He sprayed every room, garage and around the house. Didn't take long, he even educated us a little bit (although it was highly important information to us) Great service all together.. hopefully they'll keep it up on the following visits.
