Description of Work: Had our 1950's pink/almond iron bathtub reglazed. In addition two towel bars and three soap dish place holders were also reglazed. Job was completed in time and Fran billed me for he had quoted. A true professional. Let me know if you know such remodelllers, plumbers etc.

 + -1 moreHe was a couple of hours late. It looks good, but there is a gritty feel to the tub that wasn't there prior to this. He also didn't vent any room except the bathroom, so the smell was overpowering when I arrived home.

 + -1 moreMy tub had some parts of the finish on the bottom that were coming off. I hired him to refinish just the bottom of the tub. Normally he refinishes the whole thing. I was able to negotiate with him to refinish just the bottom at a reduced rate. It took him about half a day to do the work. It looks great. He was concerned about making sure there was no visible line between where he did his fix and the rest of the tub. You have to really look for it to see the line--he did a great job.

The total price included repair and resurface of broken tile nest to tub. ($20) The tub looks great. Description of Work: I tried to refinish the tub myself several years ago and used a hardware store recommended product. Within days, my teenage daughter's use of a self tanning product stained the tub. The stain would not come out. Within months, the tub began to chip and peel. Called Service Restorations for a quote that was promptly given over the phone. I appreciate the straightforward, on the spot information. It is frustrating when service providers will not give you the needed information over the phone.

Description of Work: A tennant had painted my ceramic tile bathroom. They were forced by Section 8 administration to remove the paint. But the tile was really ruined. Surface Restoration came and gave me an estimate in March. They came on Monday, 13 June to remove the original finish AND get the paint off the grout. This was a really difficult project. John worked from about 9:30 am until about 8:00 pm with about a 40 minute break. He had to scrape the groute and then put more into the space. It had to be a quick dry stuff. Because this was so time consuming we met again on Tuesday morning at 7:00 for him to complete his work to be ready for Fran to put the finish back on the tile. He finished the preperation about 2:00 and about 3:30 they were ready to begin painting the new finish back onto the tile. This is an older house with tile on all four walls about 48" up from the floor. Not just around the tub. About 7:30 the job was completed and looks just fine. I chose white for the new finish. It covered the old blue with no problem. I do have a 5 year warranty and was given a paper with instructions on how to clean and care for the new finish. Both men were knowledgeable and professional.

 + -1 moreI interviewed several companies prior to hiring this one to resurface an old tub and sink. I was impressed by his attitude and knowledge. He showed up on-time and was very professional. He took extra precautions to ensure that my home was not damaged from the work. He put in a significant amount of time and effort preparing the surfaces. The final product was very good and I hope that it will be durable. The tub came out better than the sink, and I think this is due to the poor condition of the sink when the work began. They both look very presentable and only a perfectionist would notice some of the minor surface variations in the sink. Given the amount of time he spent on this project, I definitely feel that I received a good value.
