This is the best company I have worked with on my house and rental house in Louisville. All technicians are very knowledgable and their pricing is very fair. I have used them for several jobs in my rental house and personal home. Both are in Germantown and have some old wiring that has given me issues from time to time. Now if only I could find a Stansbury HVAC, Stansbury Roofing, and Stansbury Plumbing. Then I'd be set.

Appt; made for following day. Technicians called 10 minutes before earliest arrival time to say they were on their way. Problem was mine; I could not get the breaker to remain in ON position and was "taught" that it must first be switched back to OFF, then to ON to remain working. They checked out several outlets to make sure this was the only problem, informed me about an outlet I had difficulty using; turned out to be a safety feature. The 2 men were polite, efficient, informative and even apologized for charging for what they did. Have used before and shall again.

Bruce got his crew out very quickly. They arrived at the time stated and did an excellent job at a fair price. Bruce also worked to make sure inspections were scheduled and coordinated with LG&E to get our service restored quickly.
Description of Work: A tree limb fell on our electric service drop causing damage that required LG@E to cut service to the house. Stansbury Electric repaired the point of attachment, damaged weather head and added ground rods to bring up to code.

After a lot of back and forth they put in a new thermostat. Unfortunately we also had to call in a hvac company to help complete the job. In the end we settled on basically paying for the price of the new thermostat.

Like other contractors we are very busy and unable to help everyone that calls. We very recently had a lead and key employee killed in a motorcycle accident. We have work scheduled out between 2 to 4 weeks out. With the loss of Shawn, my guys and I have been working 10-12 hour days to TRY to keep the appointments that were already made. Shawn was VERY valuable and a leader at our company! When we get to our "new normal" with the loss of our good friend, please consider us if you have any electrical issues. Again, we apologize that we were unable to help this time

It went very well and he completed all the work in a very timely manner. The new lights look great and he was also very helpful in getting us the bulbs we needed for our other bathroom lighting fixtures. Since we have just moved in to a new home we have had several contractors here to do various things. Stansbury electric was someone I would definitely hire again and have complete confidence in and we really liked Stuart.
Description of Work: We had Stuart from Stansbury out again and he installed two recessed LED lights in our bathrooms and a light fixture in the bedroom.

Stansbury was great. They came out multiple times to troubleshoot what was causing the nuisance trips. Very pleasant and always showed up on time. Our electric now works without nuisance tripping. The new outlet they installed works just fine. Cost is not accurate as they came out multiple times for different things.
Description of Work: We moved to a newly renovated house that had nuisance trip issues related to arc fault breakers. We also had them install an outlet in a crawl space for a new sump pump.

I originally called the week after New Years, spoke with someone about coming out the following week and giving me an estimate. No one ever called me back. After a few weeks I called again and they were very rude and acted like I never talked to them before. They set up an appointment that day for the first week in February. The technician came out and spent only a few minutes looking at the job then told me I needed a new electrical box. He said he was going to go back to the shop and write up an estimate and email it to me. To this day still have not seen or heard from them about my estimate!

Called for the estimate on Saturday intending to leave a message and was pleasantly surprised to have Bruce, the owner answer. We agreed to setting up an appointment for the estimate that following Monday. That call did occur as planned and an appointment date and time was agreed upon. The day of the appointment we received a call from Rob verifying the time and he advised he would be there within thirty minutes. He arrived on time and was thorough in discussing what options we had. He also gave me some advice on another situation I asked him about. We will update as the process continues and Rob comes back with the estimate, but preliminary actions to this point have been very favorable

Very smooth. They were on time and in and out in 15 minutes. Very friendly and professional. They answered all of my questions on some remodeling projects I am planning and I will be hiring them for that work. Highly recommended.

Description of Work: Interior Light switches quit working, and they came the day after we called. They quickly identified the problem and fixed it quickly. They explained what needed to be done as they were working, and when we asked about another switch that didn't work, they fixed that too. The price was reasonable.

As Mr. Stansbury never returned my calls, nor did he follow through on scheduling my electrical job, the service was not completed.
Description of Work: In June I contacted Stansbury Electric for a bid on replacing an electrical box and installing can lights in my home. On Jun 21st Mr. Stansbury promptly came to my home discussed my needs and gave an acceptable estimate. Mr. Stansbury informed me that he was scheduled for the next two or three weeks but would call when my work was scheduled. I informed Mr. Stansbury that I would be on vacation the third week. He understood and discussed the possibility of shifting my job up on his schedule. At the beginning of the 4th week after my bid appointment, I called Stansbury Elelectric. The office staff took my name and phone number and informed me that Mr. Stansbury would return my call. As I did not hear from Mr. Stansbury, I returned the call to his office the following day. The office staff rudely interrupted me to inform me that Mr. Stansbury had my name, number, message and that he was a very busy man. Mr. Stansbury never returned my call. I have had my electrical work completed by another company. I would have rated this company a F, but Mr. Stansbury did keep the initial appointment.

Outstanding! Didn't take long to get a day/time set up for them to come out, unlike other companies I had called previously. Jason and Josh showed up when I expected and got to work. They were extremely courteous and professional. Completed all work in right at 30 min, with Angie's List coupon was charged $95. I couldn't have been more pleased with the service, professionalism and cost. HIGHLY recommend.
