Scott and Bryan (Scott's skilled co-worker) arrived right on time to plant scrubs in front beds and also to re-shape one of the beds. They worked efficiently and carefully. The shrubs they planted were beautiful and appeared to be top quality.. When the job was complete Scott said that he would reduce the estimated job cost since he used less mulch and spent less time on the job than originally estimated. This was a very pleasant surprise and it speaks to Scott's high standards and work ethic. Scott provided specific information regarding watering and and scrub trimming.

Scott was extremely professional and responsive. He gave us estimates promptly, and once we gave him the go ahead, he finished the jobs in a timely manner. Most importantly, when we had some trouble with the sod, he stood behind his work and replaced it quickly -- we never had to ask him, he just did it. We are very happy with the results and will recommend Scott to others.

There are not enough positive words in the world to say how impressed we are with Scott and his services! From the moment he first came to our home to look at our yard, his professionalism was obvious. We could tell how much he truly listened to what we wanted changed (basically everything) and the look and feel that we wanted. His focus was clearly on what we wanted done and how he could make our ideas and thoughts a reality. No sales pitch, just true authenticity and passion for his work. Scott provided us with several plans to review before we settled on one, and each plan was clearly drawn and labeled. Additionally, with each, he provided accompanying photographs of the plants/trees he was suggesting as well as a detailed estimate of the cost for each item as well as labor and removal fees. For financial professionals as both my husband and I are, this is outstanding service! When the work started, we thought it would take several days, but Scott had it completed in just two days!!! And it looks BEAUTIFUL. Scott was always very honest with us about what would and would not work and his reasoning - honesty and integrity are something we highly value and Scott is all that and more. You can truly tell by watching and talking with him how passionate he is about his work and his dedication to providing utmost quality to his customers. We would give him more stars if we could with this review, but suffice it to say that we give our highest recommendations for Scott. When we re-do landscaping in our backyard, he is definitely who we will use. We would also like to add that Scott is very responsive - both before services started and the following (we still had some questions). We are deeply appreciative, especially in the fast-paced world we live in!

Scott was very prompt with quotes and re-quotes. He provided detailed landscape sketches with photos of the plants he was recommending. Did a great job and the work was completed very quickly.

When I called Scott for an estimate he made an appointment for the next day. He showed up on time and emailed the estimate to me within hours. I had some questions and asked to change out things and he was very prompt resubmitting the estimate. After about 2 months we decided to go ahead with the project. He put us on his schedule and kept us informed of his timeline. He showed up on the day scheduled even though there was light rain all morning. He completed the work within a day and was very easy to work with. The front and side yards look great! We will definitely use him again for our next project.

Scott was very easy to work with and extremely patient with my frequent input on and questioning of his plant and tree choices. Once the final choices were made, the job was scheduled and completed in a reasonable amount of time. The additional work crew were both courteous and friendly, answering my frequent questions patiently. Everything went smoothly and the area now looks greatly improved.

After consulting several landscaping companies we decided to go with Scott. He responded to our request promptly. He was friendly,professional and knowledgeable. After patiently listening to our needs and expectations for our property,he presented us with a detailed plan,with pictures,and answered all of our questions about various plants and how to care for them. Again this was done promptly. His expertise was obvious. He started work within a week of our contract agreement. He personally supervised all work and kept in touch with us frequently via phone calls and Email. When we expressed concern about caring for the new plantings, he provided us with detailed instructions and even set up a watering system and schedule, complete with hoses and sprinklers. He checked several times to make sure everything was going well. When weather changed, he always Emailed to let us know of any changes in watering program. Finally, he arranged a date to return next Spring to clean out yard and answer any questions about watering schedule for the new season. Scott arrived on time to discuss landscaping project. Scott is easy to work with and has a lot of great ideals. He emailed a detailed plan and quote within 24 hours. I got 2 more quotes but all of condo owners agreed that they liked Scott"s plan the best. His quote was also the lowest cost. Scott completed landscaping and it looks great with all owners happy. As my wife and I will be hosting our eldest's son wedding in our backyard next May, we realized we had to create an appropriate setting near where the ceremony will take place. I. Called Scott on a Friday, he dropped by the following Monday and had a plan and a drawing for us within 24 hours. Amazing! The work itself was completed within a day on the following Thursday. We were extremely pleased with the price, the work itself--full of much creativity-- and the professionalism of both Scott and his worker. We would highly recommend him to anyone for either a small or a large job.

Scott was wonderful to work with. He was very responsive, timely, provided excellent work and excellent follow up. He came back several days after the install to give us instructions on care and maintenance and followed up with emailed instructions as well. Scott actually talked me out of doing something that would have added significantly to the cost of the job, and his advice was spot on. We really appreciated that!

I can't brag on Scott enough. I liked that he was young and had a fresh eye for a current landscape style. He was very prompt in all communication. He allowed me to have some choices and I ended up with a great variety of plants and bushes that are easy maintenance. In the middle of the project I decided I wanted to have some outdoor lighting and he stopped work immediately and ran and purchased the needed exponents. The lights are very high quality. He finished the total job in one day. Left my home without a trace of refuse. And he did all that with a broken finger. He had an excellent helper as well. .In addition to all the above, I had to leave town right after all this work and Scott came by more than once to water my new plants. Call him , hire him you will be very pleased.

Scott did a great job. He listened to our wants, gave us detailed plans, and sent us pictures of the proposed plants. We went back and forth by email a few times and he was very speedy about responding. His proposal was within our budget, his plants were very healthy looking, and he did his work in a very timely manner just as he said he would. We would totally recommend his services and plan to use him again for any future landscaping.

From the beginning, it was a pleasure to work with Scott's Landscaping. The owner is very easy to work with, very professional and works with a quality product. Upon contacting (after reading reviews on Angie's List), I spoke with the owner Scott on all details. We set up an initial visit to meet and discuss our expectations and ideas on the project. Even though he was the professional, he was very eager to hear what we wanted and did not disappoint. He was able to present us with a professional design and price quote by that evening and start on the project within a week. Along with the design, he e-mailed us photos of each plant/tree he would be using. He personally worked on the landscape job along with another employee who was equally professional. We were very pleased with our results and would highly recommend them.

I recently moved to Louisville and purchased a home. While there was a backyard, it is very small (just what I wanted). What was there could be called nothing other than a jungle. I found Scott on Angie's List and he quickly responded - we set a time/date for him to come view the job. He was on time and instantly had great ideas. We agreed on the design and price and on the agreed day for the work to be performed, I left for work with a jungle in the back of the house and came home to a clean, zen space with beautiful new plants. In one day he and his crew did all the work, removed all the plants that were in the back and completed the replanting. There was not mess left, no sign of the old jungle. I'm extremely pleased with my new yard and the work Scott and his team did.

Scott really helped us make sense of our overgrown front and back yards, in the Highlands. He called back promptly to respond to my concerns about clearing the existing weed-eaten landscaping and getting a more low maintenance/ clean look for the future. We had proposed sketches of both yards on the same day of our initial meeting, and work started promptly the next week. Scot really listened to our concerns, and he delivered. He met with my husband and I first to make sure he understood our needs and concerns. Work was completed in three days, despite scorching heat. We are impressed. Scott was very prompt in contacting us to come by for an estimate, and then very flexible as we debated the scale of the project. He was great about communication (by email in our case). We decided to just have him remove the existing (way overgrown) bushes and build the wall for us, and we plan to do the planting at a later date. The project was done in one day and looks great!

Contacted 3 landscapers. Scott promptly made contact. Met with me one evening and went over proposed work and what was most important to us. We received detailed sketch of proposed design with names and locations of his recommended trees/plants/flowers and itemized cost estimate of all work. After a few tweaks and expanding scope a bit, Scott personally started work with another employee a week later. All tear out work including stump grinding was done first day (without damage to pet fence wires), planting was done on second, and weed cloth, mulch and lava rocks and initial watering and cleanup was completed on the third day. Scott went over all plants and care needed for each type. The transformation was frankly stunning. We got new or refreshed landscaping around entire perimeter of home as well as mailbox and along driveway. Scott consulted with us before planting to ensure final layout was to our liking. Scott's professionalism and quality of work surpassed our expectations.

Scott was an absolute pleasure to work with! When we first contacted him he returned our call the same day. He came to the house the following day, listened to our concerns and gave us his initial thoughts and ideas. On the following day he returned with a landscape drawing of what he proposed. The work was completed when we were out of town but Scott sent us pictures of the progress each day. The work done was exemplary! Again, Scott was a joy to work with, professional, courteous and very creative in his landscaping ideas. And the work done was, to our mind, very reasonable. Thanks, Scott.

He came right over and looked over our yard both front and back. He made suggestions and listened to our concerns. He came right away with another worker and got right down to it. In no time, my yard looked fabulous. It has been soo much easier to maintain. Over 40 plants were planted and only 2 did not make the cut. I highly recommend Scott for your landscaping needs.

The whole process was amazing and I will definitely keep Scott's info in my list of contractors. Scott was prompt and got to us for an estimate the day after I called him (timing just worked out well).He was pretty honest about his thoughts on what I was asking for an estimate for (thought maybe a retaining wall for our pretty limited slope was overkill), but was willing to quote out what we wanted. Quoted it and came in a bit lower than another estimate and I think after relooking at it, he thought maybe it was a good long term solution. :) I worked with Scott to provide the signed contract and get a general timing estimate. But. I personally wasn't home when Scott did the work, my husband was. Scott was as quick as he could be and tear out was very quick and clean (I saw no evidence anyone had been there during tear out, other than our missing concrete border). Scott installed the requested wall with a very nice design and gave us the benefit of a sale on the blocks, so that even though he used a few more than anticipated, the quote didn't go up. He also ran into a couple issues with our irrigation, but made sure they were fixed, even coming back after one repair sprung a leak a second time. All is good now and we were very pleased with his prompt attention to the issues. He was quick to communicate both with my husband and with me via email. Overall, really great work and definitely someone we will go back to for future work. Our retaining wall looks great and we are very pleased.

The job was completed promptly and at a great value. The overnight improvements made to my property is breath-taking. The mix and use of plants I requested along with the design created by Scott was very impressive to say the least. I strongly recommend him for any level of job, whether commercial or residential. The pricing was very competitive and installation was performed flawlessly.

The project went very well. Scott is a pro and a pleasure to work with. My backyard 10x10 brick patio and surrounding grass was overgrown and full of weeds and old tree roots. Scott and crew cleaned up the whole area, leveled it and put in a beautiful extension of pea gravel, creating more usable outdoor space. He surrounded this with planting beds and new plantings designed to provide beauty and privacy. It turned out better than I expected and my neighbors love it too. Thanks Scott!

Scott first came out to give us a free estimate, which included a nice hand drawn design that was appropriate for our house and house style. He was on time and professional and gave us plenty of time to look things over and make our decision. We really appreciated his no pressure approach and let his knowledge and skills speak for themselves. His price was reasonable and the plants he selected for the design were able to be changed if we so desired. After answering some questions we had about the design and the plants he chose we made the decision to go with Scott for our landscaping, without making any changes! On the first day he removed all the old landscaping and reshaped one of the beds. He only planted two hardy trees as that night we were to have a hard freeze, and the rest of the plants he kept in his garage for the next day. On the second day he called with one problem - a tree we had cut down in the fall with the stump ground up...it turned out that person did not actually do a very good job grinding up the stump. So, Scott went and got a stump grinder and finished the job that should have already been completed by the other person! All of this to say that he still finished on time and it looks wonderful. He planted the rest of the shrubs, trees, and flowers as per the design and then mulched the entire area. Afterwards he came back that evening after we had gotten off work and went over the landscaping and how to take care of the plants, recommended watering schedule, and care and maintenance instructions for each of the plants. From where we started with our rather sad looking landscaping to where we are now makes a huge difference in our house appeal. Scott was great to work with and gave us a great landscape and we would highly recommend using him.

I received three quotes for a large landscaping project to renovate an area of bare ground underneath a number of large trees. Scott was on time for the estimate and promptly gave us the quote along with a drawing of the proposed layout. While not the cheapest of the quotes ( he was in the middle), he was very professional and shared the same vision for the project as we did. He was able to quickly begin the project (within a week) and did a terrific job of keeping us informed of exactly what was going on every step of the way. I really value someone who does what they say they will do. He was always on time, professional, courteous, and conscientious. Example - while tilling the yard they cut an old cable. Not sure what it was, Scott was worried and called me immediately. I told him that it was probably the old cable tv line which was no longer being used. He continued to worry about it and came back that evening to repair it (as it turned out, it was inactive). Scott hand planted over 2000 plants, about 500 more than he originally estimated, but didn't charge any extra. Not many people would do that these days. The project looks great, and I would definitely use him again.

I asked Scott to come out and look at some old bushes in our front yard that were mostly dead and far from pretty. We also wanted some sort of edging around our landscaping. He drew up a plan and estimate and had it to us by the next day. We were very happy with the plan and the cost. The work went off without a hitch. You could tell that Scott put a lot of thought into what plants to use to replace our bushes and they were spaced in a very attractive way. He also gave me some instructions for how to properly care for our new plants. We've already received many compliments from our neighbors! I would definitely recommend Scott's Landscaping to anyone in Louisville!
