Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Drain Services

We got up this morning to discover that the toilet was backing up. Not exactly what you need to happen on a Sunday moring. I called Roto-Rooting Plumbing and Drain Services. Brian called me almost immediately after I called the office. Within 30 minutes, he was at my house. Unbeknowst to me, our daughter had flushing feminine products down the toilet. As most plumbers will tell you, these products do not dissolve. Brian worked very **** ** roto-rooting the side yard where I have a clean out. I also have a clean out in the front yard. The clean out on the side yard was disgusting. For the sake of decency, I will not go into detail, but what he was pulling out was disgusting. This still did not fix the problem, so he accessed the clean out in the front yard repeating the same steps. He hit a blockage that he could not seem to penetrate. He changed bits, repeated the process, as well as the side yard again. In the meantime, my wife had been running water in bathroom sink and bath, as well as the kitchen, in addition to running water in the bathtub. As a last measure, he also inserted my yard hose down the clean out. He was basically at the point of giving up when it dislodged. He was here on a Sunday, sweating profusely, but finally prevailed. I was very happy that he was able to resolve the issue. The next step would have involved sending another crew tomorrow moring to insert a camera in the sewer lines to detect the point of blockage. Fortunately, through determination and perseverance, he succeeded around 5pm. Brian had a lot of tenacity and stick-to-itive-ness, so I was very happy with the outcome and work.

Had to have plumbing redone to shower and tub in one bathroom. I had called other plumbers in the area but they were too busy to get to it for 3-4 weeks. Roto Rooter said they would send someone the next day and would give an estimate and I would be charged a fee that would be put towards services if I decided to have them fix plumbing. They gave estimate and I told them to fix it, the guy said he would be back the next day same time. Following day, a different guy shows up, says I have to pay more than the estimate plus pay for turn off switches for hot and cold, which was going to be over $100 more than the estimate.. I told him NO!! I think he was trying to take advantage of the fact that there was not a man at home at the time. He done a shotty job by cross threading the hot/cold handle for the tub/shower so we can not even take a hot shower because it will not even turn to the hot side far enough to get hot. AND I WAS DUMB ENOUGH TO TIP THE GUY $40!!! I should have checked it before he left!! I never called them to have them come back to fix it because I was afraid they would screw it up worse the 2nd time around. And he said he would send a copy of the bill but never did because he could not provide a receipt of any kind.

They broke the air vent and originally said they would replace it, but they did not. They seemed to think it was alright broken but we wanted it replaced. It seemed everything that was done led to something else needing to be done. Got expensive.

Plumber arrived when scheduled but had strong foreign accent which interfered with communication. Worked for over an hour and seemed confused about what was wrong. Said he completed work and gave a three or six month warranty on work. In nine days the drain was stopped up again. He returned and worked another hour. Finally, he found a object stuck in drain that was part of the stopper. Removed part but charged again.

Plumber was knowledgeable and thoughtful. The charge was $290.00 and I had a $30 coupon on any service; so the total bill was around $260.00. At my request, plumber did show me main shut off valve downstairs and answered a few other questions. I had one other company estimate for $120 for install of faucet, but water was leaking and I needed it done ASAP.

The plumber said he had to remove the toilet to clear the clog.

Perfect! I always use Roto-Rooter. Unlike local contractors, Roto-Rooter shows up on time, are clean, neat, knowledgeable and professional. They are also warranted. Cost included state inspection. Would you want something else???

Because I had never used the Louisville Rotor-Rooter service before I called two other plumbers before them, neither of the others were available. I had remembered reading good reviews on Angie's List about Rotor-Rooter and gave them a call, so glad I did!! The plumber was able to make it to the house in a very short time and was able to quickly replace the leaking pipe. Not only was their service outstanding but the price (remember this was Saturday) was more reasonable than I believe any of the others would have charged. Rotor-Rooter Louisville will definitely be my first call next time.

I can not give enough praise for the people of Roto Rooter. Within 30 minutes of my call technicians were at my home and my clogged kitchen sink was working like new within the hour. The price was very reasonable. They will be my first call the next time service is needed.

We're happy with the work that we had done, but they're just a little on the pricey side. It took them probably around two hours, that was fine, considering what he had to do in two different rooms that was about as well as I expected it could go.

the tech came out and snaked my sink main drain, which we thought fixed it. Ran the clothes washer again and backup was still happening. the Tech came back and snaked from the main back flow outside and found the stoppage. Great service and extremely helpful, even gave me a 30 dollar off coupon.

The dispatcher was pleasant to speak to and got me scheduled immediately that very same day. The plumbers who came out were absolutely professional and gentlemen. They were punctual; listened to everything/concern I verbalized (as a female with VERY limited knowledge of plumbing, that was so appreciated); explained EXACTLY what they were doing; gave me updates throughout the process; and provided me with invaluable knowledge to prevent additional issues in the future. The main plumber even snaked out my shower from the inside to loosen up the clog and then rinsed the shower/drain out, as well as tweaked my toilet that had been running too much. I did not ask them for those last two services, and they did not charge me. He did it out of professionalism and the kindness of his heart for sure. They had extra chemical that I additionally purchased (yearly treatment) and thoroughly explained what it does, how to use it, and the timetable to use it preventatively. They absolutely went above and beyond!! I truly felt like they were family or close friends who came over to help me in any way they could, as quickly as they could. They were done in a little over an hour.

Great. Cleared the line when another plumber could not.

The drain was indeed fixed but its the means that is disappointing. I called dispatch and ask for them to reach out to me. 45min later I get a call that there is a tech that has been at the front door and no one is answering. I work from home and if he had knocked my dog would have barked AND i received no call about an appointment. They weren't even sure if I was home, luckily I was. Also, $183 for a clog is almost robbery. This wasn't discussed until the tech was already in my house...so much for the $50 coupon. BTW, TOM Drexler will unclog any drain for $99. I discovered that after the fact. Now, the tech tracked mud onto my new white carpet stairs after I asked him to be careful and even provided a rug to wipe his feet. He didn't have booties (which should be standard when walking around in customer homes) to put on or a runner with him, nor did I want him taking off his boots. We just installed the carpet two weeks ago. And because he showed up unannounced, I wasn't ready and had a business call to take. I walked away for ten minutes and he had dragged a dirty dolly up each stair, leaving marks on the carpet. It was a nightmare. He also claimed he cleaned up as well as he could "without using 409". Call me old fashioned but if I'm paying someone almost 200 bucks to unclog a drain, i expect them to clean up after themselves. There was splatters of gunk all over and I had to get the mop out. I also loaned him channel locks because he didn't want to have to walk back to the truck. I spent 5 minutes looking for them in the basement while he stood there. I would not recommend your services and would go as far as steering people away. I hope this was an isolated experience. I'd like someone to reach out to me regarding this matter.

Service was ok. They were prompt but expensive

The Roto-Rooter person showed up on time. He spent probably less than 30 minutes on the drain and also treated the drain with something - I forget what it was - I am not sure how effective that stuff is, but time will tell. I know we paid for convenience in this case, but it was worth it. The only snafu in all of this was that the person who was supposed to come fix our drain got hung up on a job and we had to leave the house before he could get there. We coordinated another time for the following day and he was there right on time.

Awesome! Shannon had excellent communication skills, very clean, prompt and courteous. R-R was reasonably priced too. Same day service. I had a rusted out pipe in the wall and he replaced it within minutes. The bill was $202 - $50 coupon = $152 (I had already cut out the wall for access)

We awoke this morning to a downpour of rain outside, and my husband discovered water in the basement. We suspected this was due to blockage in our sewer line, which goes from our back yard, thru our front yard, and then to the street. We had just had this done in December 2015 by another plumbing company. I called them this morning, but they said they were already overbooked and could only come after hours and bill us the OT rate. (No mention of any discount due to the prev visit in December.) I called a different plumbing company but could only leave a voicemail. I was getting very worried at this point and didn't know what would happen if we had to wait until the next day. I decided to look for another plumber and found Roto-Rooter. They answered right away, took the information, and said they would be here between 2-6pm. They said they would give an estimate at no charge, and then do the work if approved. At 12:30 I received a call back from Roto-Rooter and told they would be on their way, if this was convenient. This was an hour and half earlier than I was told. I was so relieved as we were continuing to get water in the basement. George arrived, asked several questions, went through charges for work to be performed, and then my husband ok'd the work. George went to work, explained what he was doing, and then was able to re-open the sewer line. He was professional, answered all of my husband's questions, and did what he said he would do in a timely manner. There was a $50 coupon on Angie's List, which we were able to apply to the invoice amount. We have never used Roto-Rooter before, but we will definitely call them again.

Main sewer line was backing up. A very professional gentleman named Ed showed up as scheduled and did a great job diagnosing the problem. He quickly resolved the problem by snaking the main sewer all the way to the street which restored flow. He also gave some great suggestions for adding a cleanout where we had an extra sewer opening, and quoted the job without pressuring us to do the job. Best unclogging service I've had.

I called to get an appointment and the guy said, we can be there in an hour and he WAS. He was professional and very thorough. He checked each pipe for leaks and diagrammed out the purpose of the pipes. He labeled them for me. He then went out and checked the septic tank area. He went around the whole house and checked each area. The plumber did an excellent job of explaining everything. He was professional and ensured the home remained clean by wearing booties. Great Job!
