We are remodeling our bathroom and could not find anything that matched our mixing valve. We had a few other quotes from 450 to 650 but R&L came and asked why we wanted to change the mixing valve, there was nothing wrong the current valve. I explained the issue and he let me know where I can go to get a faucet that matches the mixing valve. I got a new faucet and returned the other faucet. It is rare to see someone in today’s world that would give someone an option that doesn’t cost anything. Thank you

Did a fine job. Overcharged me. I paid for travel to the rental store. I paid him while he waited for line to be marked. He also stated that he worked for 2 hours after he left. I also payed him a premium for planning our project. Too much money expected and paid.

Paid $1080 for a hot water heater service. Another company from HomeAdvisor gave me a written quote to do the job for almost $200 less than RL Plumbing with an acceptable turnaround time, but RL had already started on the job. This was not an emergency job, RL just happened to have the next day available. RL proceeded to leave the huge box for the water heater on our property. The massive price difference suggests either a company bloated by overhead, a predatory company or pricing method. Despite this large difference in pricing, the contractor added a $30 surcharge for a flex pipe that they did not bring with them to complete the job. Knowing what I know now, I would not return to RL. Fair pricing yields repeat customers and the difference between $1080 and the later competing quotes suggests disingenuous pricing procedures. Team ASI provided a much lower price with matching warranty and tank size.

Had a small job replacing a kitchen faucet. Rob called before he came on a Saturday morning and arrived on time. Have used other plumbers on Home Advisor and RL Plumbing s the only one I would recommend and will use again

technician called before arrival and showed up on time. Did an excellent job of replacing the toilet and left the bathroom in tip top condition.

He took off with my old gas pipes. He removed all my gas pipes and 5 hours later he came back with my old pipes refurbished. He claimed those were the new pipes, but when I asked for the receipt and my old pipes he got mad, started calling me names and yelled at me because there was no receipt .We called the police because he had a gun. He left with my pipes before the police arrive in about 5 minutes.

His final price was a good bit higher than his quote. I had to make him reset a new commode he installed because it rocked. He charged me extra for that plus he added a $70. Service charge that wasn’t in the quote.

Repaired a busted frozen pipe. Was punctual. Work was excellent. No mess. Wouldl use again. Fair price.

Was lucky and managed to get them to come to my property within 2 hours of calling. They worked quickly and efficiently making sure that I no longer had water supply leaks. Thanks Ron !

Visited my house twice in same day to get the job finished, because I had to go buy a new set of gas logs when the existing set couldn't be made to work. Pleasant, professional, and communicative.

First the good: the workmanship was excellent. Now the bad: Ron originally quoted a price assuming no major obstacles were encountered. When his worker cut the hole in the concrete basement floor, it was obvious that the water table was still high. I asked if that was a problem and he indicated it wasn't a big deal, we just had to wait for it to drop before going on. His apprentice throughout the entire time did all the work (Ron supervised) but didn't seem very problem-solving oriented. If Ron wasn't there, he just kind of scratched his head and didn't do much. About half way through the job, Ron informed me that his wife, who keeps the books, had told him we already had cost overruns of $600 and the job wasn't even done. I told him I felt like a bait-and-switch situation since he had never previously communicated that we were running over the original quoted price. I could see this was running out of control, so I told him I would pay him for what he had done to date, and I would finish it myself. He was apologetic, and offered to finish it for an amount somewhat over the original. I agreed and it was done.

He charged high for a small job and threatened to charge again when we called to complain that the problem still exists. We will not be hiring this person again.
