It went ok. Just at the end they left all the sawdust in the yard.

It was good. They were quick to come out and they did what they said they were going to do and charged what they said they were going to charge. They were good, excellent. Everything was perfect.

Everything was fine there. They raked up and clean up after themselves like they were supposed to and left the yard as well as it could be. They were pretty responsive.

I contacted Rick Allen on a Friday afternoon, and he came out for a free estimate on Saturday morning. We felt confident in his abilities, description of how the work would be completed, and that his price was fair. (His cost was much less than Limbwalker). He said that the work could be completed in 2 weeks; it was actually completed in just over 1 week. The crew did an excellent and thorough job. Everything was left very clean and tidy. We are glad to have found such a great company! Someone who is reliable and does a good job!!

Rick has very nice wood. He charges more for it than most company's that sell wood, but he brings hard nice burning wood. When I call and order wood from Rick, I know that I will get quality firewood that burns clean.

We called on Saturday and requested mulch, he delivered it promptly, as promised on Monday. He delivered a large amount of mulch for the money. High quality product, we are very pleased.

Unfortunately he was too far away and to get the equipments down would have been too expensive. He went out of his way to come down and give us the estimate and I really appreciate that. He is really professional, extremely honest. I’m sure if I had done the work, it would have been excellent work just by the way he carried him and his company. Im sure if I was in his area, then the price would be within what I was looking at.

Overall I was pleased with the work that Rick Allen's staff (one man) did during the four hours of the job. Rick returned my initial call quickly and set up a time to look at my yard in a very timely fashion. He arrived on time (if not a little early) and we discussed what I wanted to have done and the cost per hour for labor. Once I decided to move ahead with him over other landscapers, he quickly located pine straw and called me to OK the price per bale. Once we arranged the day and time for the work, Rick brought over his staff member to show him personally what the job entailed. On the day of the work, Rick brought his worker and the straw bales on a flatbed and work started on time. At the conclusion of our allotted time (I requested that no more than the minimum of four hours of work be done), the worker stopped and left the remaining pine straw that I had purchased. They returned later for payment of the work and asked if I was satisfied. I was. I think that Rick Allen provides timely and above reasonable quality for his yard work.

Rick's tree service came when they said they would and removed the tree, ground the stump, replanted grass and threw straw down just as he said he would. They were very fast, efficient and neat. I have hired them since then for other landscaping jobs that I have been well pleased with.

As other reviews online have noted, Rick is an honest and straightforward guy. He doesn't seem to have the time or interest for double-talk or salesmanship. He simply says what he will do, when he will do it, and how much it will cost. He answers the phone every time you call, or returns your voice messages within minutes. He looked at my tree, discussed the options, and gave me his advice and a quote. I had a big tree that died. It was within my enclosed back yard -- a tight squeeze between my fence and my garage. He brought a crane and had it down and gone within 4 hours. There was no mess, my driveway was not damaged, nor was my fence or anything else. He says he is bonded and insured, and offered me the paperwork to verify this. He and his crew were actually a few minutes early. This was after rescheduling once -- he had zero problem with this and was happy to accommodate our schedule. His price was right on in terms of the other quotes I got -- except I trusted him more, and for the same price, he offered to additionally grind the stump, trim two trees off the house in the front yard, and leave me a load of mulch (which actually I think most tree services would do -- it's just waste that they need to get rid of anyway). So, I got a good deal (though it's still a lot more expensive than I had expected), good service, and I would certainly use his services again.

We went with another company since he had access to limited equipment. He did follow up with me and he has a fantastic attitude.

They were good. They came on time, they were very prompt. They were communicative. They were good at clean-up too.

Highly recommend Rick Allen. Salt of the earth, way too honest kind of guy who knows what he is doing and will get it done right even if it kills him
