In July 2014 my home was listed with Louisville, KY Remax East. My experience was a costly failure due to the realtor assigned to me. Jeff Hurst, overpriced the listing on my home. Failure to sell followed. I asked him to lower the price as the closing on my new home was approaching. His method was to lower the price in small increments every day. It took over a month to get the price lowered and I objected to his methods but he refused to listen. His response was always that he was a top realtor. I lost the opportunity to sell my home during the prime selling time in the summer. By September I was panicked. I needed the cash from the sale to purchase my new home without a mortgage. I asked to be released from my contract. Harrell Tague and Paula Colvin , managers, backed up Mr. Hurst at first. Finally after a week or two negotiating with them they reassigned Sharon Tryon as my realtor. She was terrific. She staged my home, had a professional photographer take pictures and set an appropriate price. (none of these were done by Mr. Hurst). The house sold quickly. However, this time delay resulted in my having to take out a mortgage. I estimate this situation cost me at least $20,000. Mr. Hurst said I was responsible for his overpricing the house. Ridiculous! I came to him to be advised on pricing. I know now that an appraisal of the property could have negated an offer. He knew this and his high ego and lack of listening skills resulted in my financial loss. I do not know why his managers supported him at first. Realtors are service providers. They need to listen to their client and advise them politely and correctly. I know Remax East has good realtors. This review is to advise sellers to be careful who represents them.

Our realtor with ReMax was the best. He helped us with all the details. Kept us notified of all changes and sold the home in a very short period of time. By the way the realtor was Mr. Ed Williamson.

Being first-time home buyers, we really had no clue what to expect going into something this big. We worked with Stephanie Mason, and she was absolutely amazing! We had many questions, and Stephanie was always SUPER easy to reach by phone, email, and text. The few times we weren't able to reach her immediately, Stephanie was very prompt in getting back with us. She was patient and walked us through every step of the process, answering any and every question you can imagine with a high level of professionalism while managing to keep it real and on a level we could understand. I will DEFINITELY recommend Stephanie to anyone I know looking to buy a house. Her excellent service and advice allowed us to purchase the home of our dreams with confidence!
