+ -1 moreI decided to contact Purofirst on Tuesday November 7th 2017. My insurance company said they were who they use as a VIP member. The customer service rep I spoke to initially was great. She was very friendly and helpful (sadly did not get a name.) She took my information and said someone would call me that day to discuss a time for them to come out for estimate. She told me over the phone someone would be out within two days (Thursday at latest.) Some guy called later that day to schedule a time. He did not mention his name at any point. He was very rushed to get off the phone. I work in the service field and have always felt there needs to be some sort of personable connection. There was none. He told me on the phone that he would be out Friday to do estimate. Didn't give me any option just said that's when he would be there. I wanted to be there when he came but wasn't able to due to work and the man did not give me any option to have him come another day. Today is Tuesday November 13th and I have yet to hear back from anyone at Purofirst. To my knowledge, nobody has shown up at my house to do an estimate. If he has, he never called me to let me know anything. Working with two other roofing companies and they were very polite and performed their duties in a very timely manner. I would not recommend Purofirst to anybody personally.

They were very professional. Sam did most of the work in my house. She was wonderful. She explained what she was going to do, and the timeline for finishing everything. She showed me what needed to be done, and she answered all my questions fully and politely. Sam never talked down to me like some other contractors have done. It was a bit difficult getting an estimate out of the company, but once I got it, I was happy with the quote, and they came in under budget. I would definitely hire them again.
Description of Work: I needed my toilets and shower drain reset, along with dry rot removed from the floor around the toilet in the master bathroom. They also fixed some flooring in the guest bathroom that another company had screwed up.

I found them very professional and quick to help. I have to give them good marks for that, But when I asked about repair, the would not give an estimate. They said "whatever the insurance pays should cover it." I found that similar to the scene from the movie Vacation, with Chevy Chase. He has his car repaired by the only place to be found in the middle of the desert. Chevy's character asks, "how much do I owe you?" the owner replies, "How much you got?" Get the idea? I found that rather underhanded and not professional. If they wanted to remain professional, they should have said, "I normally charge X dollars, but if insurance does not cover it, we can work with you." That would have been better. Because of that, I used others on the repairs. The clean up was great though.

This company is TERRIBLE!! A Purofirst rep was at my property within a few days of the damage. They gave an estimate of &29K to repair all of the damage. They were going to subcontract the work, which was understandable. The subcontractors were slow with calling and/or coming to my house and Purofirst reps did not follow-up accordingly. They were rude if I did contact them. Eventually, Purofirst reps asked me to endorse the $29K insurance check BEFORE the work was started! That's bad business. I called my insurance company and asked if I could not fire Purofirst and instead self-contract. They allowed me to do just that. The $29K check was stopped and now I have found my own contractors. The total price of finding my own contractors is $22K. So, what made Purofirst so much more expensive? They're TERRIBLE!!!

I called my insurance company when I discovered the wet carpeting. They called Purofirst for me. The company was here quite promptly. The men were professional and polite. They did their job and removed all garbage (basically the wet carpet pad). I gave them a $500 deposit the first day. Later I received a bill for $1,616.23! I have since found out that another company that advertises a lot would have charged $500 - 1,000 for the same work. I will not call Purofirst again.
Description of Work: After a heavy rain, our basement carpeting was wet. Purofirst was here on a Sunday within two hours. Two men took 5.5 hours to remove padding and place fans and dehumidifiers in the basement. They also sprayed an anti mold agent. They came every day for the next two days until the carpet was dry.

Storm Damage: During the storm a tree fell on my house, damaging the roof, chimney, gutters, soffit, siding; etc. I called my Insurance Company, they contacted Purofirst Disaster Services. Purofirst called me and was at the property immediately; tarps were placed on the damage roof because of the heavy rain and flying debri. The tree was removed from the roof and the remainder was torn out and disposed. The roof was completely replaced, the chimney, gutters, soffit and siding were repaired and or replaced. The debri was cleaned-up and hauled away. The job was done in a professional and timely manner. I have no complaints. Joe Yates was the individual in charge and my contact from Purofirst Disaster Services.

+ -1 moreThey were here within about three hours. They came the same day that I was leaving on vacation. They had to get all the water out, then dry everything out, and rip out the walls if needed. It was a little pricey, but our insurance covered most of it.
Description of Work: Purofirst Disaster Service came to help us. We had a subpump that got stuck and it flooded my basement.

Our insurance covered the charges. They didn’t fix anything, but they got us back to normal. There is a contractor who is working now to get us back to living in it. They were very prompt and got here very quickly, but they weren’t real neat. If need be, I would use them again because they were so prompt.
Description of Work: We used Purofirst Disaster Service in April. Our basement flooded due to a lot of rain that we had. There was about eight inches of water. They provided disaster relief. They came in, got the water out and also took out the drywall.

Description of Work: Flooded basement due to sump pump malfunction after weeks of rain. Purofirst came in the same day it was discovered, corrected the sump pump issue and pumped the 8 inches of wanter out of the basement. Once water was out they removed all carpet - most of the basement was ceramic tile. they also removed dry wall and insulation up to dry point. They sanitized and dried out basement with large industrial fans This all happened on the same day we were leaving for a vacation. Purofirst put a key lockbox on the back door and the technicians came and went without our supervision. We pretty much only saw the beginning of the process & the final 'product' - however, the basement does not smell musty so I assume that means they did a good job. We have not begun the repair/remodel process as yet. They have given us a price to repair to the previous look. We are going to make some changes in the design of the rooms and we have not gotten that price from them yet. This is the company that was recommended by our insurance company.

So after the work was completed they were fine with the checks the insurance was paying out. We weren't, as there was work that wasn't done. I called them and said this wasn't done and they needed to fix it. they fixed it alright. They added those extra 2 days for the air scrubbers that they said they would charge, they said it was a diiferent air scrubber than planned on the estimate and charged more, they added another filter for both air scrubbers that wasn't in the orginal esitmate. This was done after our call, to us it appeared they did this for more money. I called our insurance claim rep and she said we would have a 3 way call so I could talk with Ben. I did research on the air scrubbers they said they used, and they did not use the carbon filter that was stated they used. Not only that he lied from the first time he spoke. He stated there was a change in the air scrubbers to leave them there the extra 2 days because I said I didn't want the ozone in the main house. This was not know until after them leaving the air scrubbers. He also stated there were over sights in the original esitmate. What basically happened is it sounded as the insurance company rep ws on their side and not fighting for the right thing. I mean I know all the money was not from our pocket, but this is wrong what was done! Stay away from this company as they rip you off with their costs. You can buy the machines for the price they charge!
Description of Work: We had a MINOR fire in our attic, actually no fire just smouldering from faulty wiring. Our insurance company suggested this company, so we decided to go ahead and use them. First off there wasn't any soot in the house from it, no water damage from the Fire dept. It was a clean and easy cleanup. As soon as our electric was up to men from Purofirst came out, they were late. The windows in the attic had to be repaired, they were not going to repair them at that time, so they put wood up. They ACTUALLY waited a whole week to fix them! They also put Purofirst Diaster Services on the wood. Why have advertising when you are already getting paid big time. They put air scrubbers in, the estimate had 3 - 1 in the attic and 2 in the house. Well they only put in 2. We said there was suppose to be one in the attic since that is where the most of the smell was. We said there was suppose to be 3, they called in and Ben told them no only 2. Ben wrote the estimate, so why did he put one on there if he knew one wasn't going to be there? The estimate said for 3 days these would be running and in our house. They asked us for a key or to put a lock box on our house so they could enter when they felt like it. We said no, we would be there if they needed to get in. they decided on "their own" to leave the air scrubbers! We were told by the boss that there would not be a charge for the extra days. Right!!! The next week Monday, they arrived late again. They took out the scrubbers, fixed our windows, put 1 bag of insulation to replace the burnt stuff, and did some MINOR frame work. Taking a piece of wood and hooking it to the others. They then placed an ozone machine in the attic, they were going to put 2 in the main house but I did not want them there. They said fine. They came the next morning to pick it up.

+ -1 moreMy home owner's insurance covered all the cost but my deductible. They did an excellent job with the cleanup from their work. They were very efficient. They also did a follow up call to make sure all the work was still doing well. They were very polite and easy to work with.
Description of Work: They came out and fixed the roof where the water was coming in. They then cleaned up all the water and dried up all the water. Then they cut away the damaged ceiling and replaced it. Then they painted the ceiling. Then they painted the interior of the damaged area.

+ -1 moreEVERYTHING WAS PERFECT. I HAD NO PROBLEM. IT LOOKED BETTER THAN IT DID BEFORE. THE AWNING HAD BEEN THERE FOR 15-20 YEARS. THEN THE TREE FELL ON IT. THE PRICE WAS THROUGH THE INSURANCE COMPANY AND I GOT 3 OR 4 QUOTES AND THEY WERE THE CHEAPEST I COULD FIND.

OVERALL I WAS VERY HAPPY. I THOUGHT THEY WERE VERY FRIENDLY AND VERY NICE. THEY TALKED AND TREATED US VERY KINDLY. THEY REALIZED THAT WE WERE UNDER A LOT OF STRESS. THE ONLY THING WAS WHEN THEY DID SOME WORK WITH THE FUNGICIDE.
Description of Work: BASICALLY THEY CAME AND DRIED OUT THE BASEMENT AND PUT IN DEHUMIDIFIERS. CLEANED THE FURNITURE AND PUT FUNGICIDE ON THE WALLS.
