Travis & his helper were punctual, courteous, & did a fabulous job of installing this railing. We requested that the railing at the bottom of the steps be curved & they formed the rail to our specifications. We were very pleased with them.

Contacted Pohl Iron Works on a Wednesday and the mailbox was repaired on Friday. On time and very reasonably priced.

We live in a historic neighborhood and needed handrails installed on our front steps. We decided to use Pohl Iron Works after reading the wonderful reviews. The entire experience, from estimation to installation, was great (and our handrails are gorgeous!). I especially appreciated the time they took to discuss the design - they really listened and made excellent recommendations. We will definitely be calling again!

Excellent! Quick to come and give suggestions on other ideas, gave me two estimates. Very friendly on phone, and the work was done quickly and cleanly. I am VERY happy with the Pohl Ironworks people. I now have a very sturdy hand rail.

They were awesome. They duplicated to a perfect match. We are so so pleased with the results. We are having a handrail made to match now.

These guys did a great job on the rails on my back porch and steps!! The places where the rails met the concrete were completely rusted to the extent that there was 1/4 inch gap between the leg and the concrete. Only thing holding it in place were the bolts to the side of the house. They removed the railing and took it away to work on in their shop, and a few days later reinstalled it. It looks fantastic - no more rust and it is as solid as an iron railing can be. And no mess left behind. The price was not what I would call cheap, but the quality of the work is worth every penny and I would definitely use them again.

They replaced three fence posts that were rusted out on our elevated deck. I initially sent pictures of the posts to ensure they repair. Within a couple days, one of the managers visits to inspect the posts and plan for replacement. He provided me an estimate on price and time to complete the repair as well as a potential date for the work to be done. The next day I was able to verify the date for the work to be done. The repairman showed up on time, began work very efficiently. They finished in about half the time their originally estimated. I was very pleased with the work and finished product. I would definitely use them again. They were the only company I could find that would repair the fence.

I used this company for curved double handrails on our limestone porch stairs 6 years ago. They were gorgeous and are still that way today. 18 months ago I needed a hand rail for a small set of stairs leading to the street. I called Louisville Iron Works thinking it was the same company. When the salesman, John, showed up, I realized it was the wrong company, but he assured me he would do just as well. He also told me if I have problems with the handrail even after the one year warranty, he would take care of it. 13 months later after installation, the setting on the handrails breaks down to the point the rail is just leaning over and you can actually pull it out. I called John and he refused responsibility, saying it was beyond the warranty. At that point, I called Pohl Iron Works. Not only did they repair the railing and setting to our desired specifics, they were extremely responsive in doing so. They have shown me excellent iron work, professionalism, and responsiveness. They also showed compassion, because they were booked for weeks, but made a quick visit room fix my handrail. This is a company with quality services.

Sometimes the hardest things to have repaired are the smallest. Pohl's helped out when I was at a loss.

It went very well. They came out promptly and had the railing repaired within a week of my first call. They were here only a few hours. Very courteous and professional.

Contacted Pohl Iron Works to get an estimate to repair my very old wrought iron gate. Mr. Pohl came to take a look and take some measurements. I guess he decided that it was not worth repairing (rusted out) so he designed a new gate for the space which was a little tricky because it is between two houses. The old gate was mounted to the bricks and he didn't like that set up. The new gate fits perfectly and is supported by a frame set in concrete (inconspicuous) in the ground. It does not touch the brick walls of either house. I am very pleased with the work and final product and highly recommend this company and their service.

It was very difficult to find someone to do this repair. Pohl responded promptly to our request for a repair quote and worked with us on the scope of the repair and cost. They workmanship was excellent. The wrought iron railing looks good as new. The technician was very prompt, professional and courteous. We are very pleased with the work and would recommend Pohl to anyone.

I had an idea in mind for the metal I wanted to use in my construction project and they knew exactly what I was talking about just from the frontal view of it. They then drew up a plan and fabricated it from the idea I had. It was a little more expensive than what I had thought, but it was what I wanted. It was perfectly what I wanted it to be. It was perfectly done and they didn’t have to make any adjustments; it was just a finished product. They had told me when it will be done, which I thought would be couple of days, but it took them couple of months to deliver.

We got a referral, called and set up an appointment. He arrived on time, was very professional, and explained everything in great detail. After a couple of phone calls needed to decide on the final details, we paid about half the price for a down payment, and they explained about how long it would take before they could come out and install. It was great to work with a long standing Louisville company that does great work. A family business that knows their business. It was just installed today and looks great!

Working with Pohl was a good experience. They did a nice job of designing. fabricating and installing railings. We are pleased with the look and functionality. They were on time for estimate and installation. Individuals we had contact with were professional and did excellent work. We do recommend Pohl to others.
