They did a job for me based on Angie's List and they did a fine job. It was late getting to me but that was I'm sure because of the holidays so I didn't hold that against them. We agreed on a date they came in and did the job and did a nice job. They were very flexible, very nice people to work with and they did a great job. They were very very skilled. I mean they didn't even have to tape stuff off. I mean really good and I mean they did everything, they did the ceilings they did trim and they did wall in the area that I had them working in, and patching and all of that so yeah no complaints whatsoever, they're totally professional and really skilled. It looks wonderful.

Based on reviews, I reached out to this company for an estimate on removing wallpaper and painting our dining room. For reference, our dining room is approximately 15 x 12 feet, with one "open" wall as an entry way from foyer (three paintable walls). To his credit, Phil was extremely responsive, professional, polite and punctual. I felt at ease discussing the job and asking questions. I was in total shock when I received our written estimate. Over $1,000 dollars for removing one layer of wallpaper, "washing" the walls, and retexturing as needed. I received quotes from other contractors for $300-350 since the room is average-sized, with normal ceilings, no damage, etc. The cost to paint the room was an additional $1200! I believe the justification was because there would be some caulking of our trim, but I could truthfully handle that for $20 with a tube of caulk from Home Depot. We ultimately will go with a reputable company whose quote of $750 (total job) matches our budget. We had an additional bid for $1700, to paint our ENTIRE (2200 sf) main floor, just to add insult to injury. Nice guy, but incredibly outrageous estimate. I did reach out to him today, leaving a voicemail detailing our confusion at such a price. No response yet!

Would not have wanted anyone else doing it!!! Superb work and I will soon be using them again.

He is a first rate guy and he runs a first rate business, I went with another painter and it was because of the bid, He did evaluation and crack down on everything, I have no problems with him I just chose a different way. He had very good recommendation and I actually emailed them and called them. I had some body doing my floors and I was trying to coordinate. They showed up on time and very punctual. I called him back and I told him that it was a financial decision and he had done nothing to diminish his reputation in my opinion.

The two painters Mark and Rob were very professional and courteous. They were on time everyday and very polite gentlemen. They did an excellent job on staining my front wood door. They restored it back to the original finish. They painted the shutters and also 3 fiberglass columns we had previously installed on the front porch. They painted 4 exterior doors and the front trim. They also cleaned our gutters and soffits. The gutters and soffits were quite dirty and they are now bright and white again. I would definitely hire them again and would recommend them to anyone in need of the services they provide. They were a little more expensive than the other bids we received but well worth the difference in price. On a scale of 1 to 10 as 10 being the best I would give them a 11.

They were absolutely wonderful. They were worth every penny. I have about 22 feet ceilings in my great room. They came in, put paddings down and they then put plywood down. They brought in scaffolding because I have hardwood floors. They were very mindful of my hardwood floors and in protecting them. I appreciated that so much. I am absolutely going to use them again in the future soon.

Second time in 10 years I have used them to paint the outside of my primary residence. Fantastic job both times. Crew is courteous and professional. They thought of doing little extra things that made finished job look great.

The painter's were punctual. they protected furniture and were careful of breakable items. they vacuumed drywall dust and left each room in perfect order afterward. Am very pleased and would use only them again.

Phil came out about 30 days prior to date-of-service to provide us a quote on repainting several rooms in our (Cape Cod-style) home. We asked him to divide up the quote by room so we could decide how much we could afford to budget, which he did. The quote and accompanying material he provided us was thorough and professional. We decided to have him perform about 80% of the work quoted due to budget constraints. Once we agreed to the have the work done, the crew was out within about 10 days. In fact, we were planning on an out of town trip, and decided it would be easier just to give them a key and let them work without having us hanging around (I work from home and we have 3 dogs, so this made it much easier for all parties). When we arrived back home from our trip (3 days), they were about 90% done with all the work, and it really looked fantastic. Also, because they know I worked at home, they started with my loft/office, so that I would have that space back first. They adhere to very specific painting standards which are well-documented and by my estimation, they met those standards 100%. My parents are also thinking about having some painting done and told me to let them know if we were pleased with the work. We are.

They were great. They came out on time. They were prompt and professional. They were very thorough in the measurements and detailed. They were personable and even offered to perform the work and have us pay for the job after.

This was a very positive experience. The painters took pride in the work that they were hired to do. I could not be more happy with the finished product. They were here when they said they would be, the work was tidy and they cleaned up after themselves everyday. I will hire them again.

I had one room with a cathedral ceiling that I could not paint myself as well as several other rooms I wanted to consider painting. Mr. Patterson wrote up the quote by room so that I could choose which rooms to have painted and know exactly what it was costing. The day the workers started Mr. Patterson met them at the house to go over in detail what work was to be done and how he expected it to look when they were finished. The workers were great. They went above and beyond to ensure the job was completed to my satisfaction. They even cleaned the ceiling fans while the scaffolding was in the house! I did not think twice about leaving them alone in the house while I was at work and appreciated that they cleaned up in the evening so I could still get around in the house. If I had more painting to be done I would not even consider calling anyone else.

He is very reliable. He is not the least expensive painter, but does quality work. However, sometimes you get what you pay for. He is very punctual, and his painting crew is well organized and supervised. They are very nice to work with, and I feel comfortable having them come out to my house.

I don't like painting so I do the prep work and hire a painter. Over the years I've hired several painting contractors with disappointing results, but Phillip Patterson Painting exceeded my expectations. Everyone involved was impressive, especially the two men who did the work (Brian and Brandon). They even patched a few nail pops I missed. I won't hesitate calling this company for my next painting project, and highly recommend them to everyone.

Great people to work with. Missed a few spots that I didn't see until later. Drywall repair can be seen through the finish paint. They repainted one of the walls to help cover the patch, but the texture and edges of the patch remain evident. Generally the paint job is great.

We chose not to hire Phillip Patterson Painting based solely on the cost of the estimate. We ultimately hired another reputable company that completed the work for $2,400, which included paint (except for the wall paint in the master bedroom and bath). This was ultimately a difficult decision because we were so impressed with Patterson's professionalism and reviews on Angie's List. Phil Patterson came to our home to do the estimate. He was very professional and knowledgeable and completed a printed estimate in his vehicle after viewing the space and talking with us. We would have felt very comfortable hiring Phil and his crew to do the work in our home and felt the quality would have been excellent. We would absolutely recommend this company to others.

They came when they said they were going to come. They run a good company but I think he has a lot of overhead. I would use them again if I had to.

Found this provider on Angie's List. Service was professional, prompt, and responsive from start to finish. The two gentlemen who actually did the work, Robert & Jason, were extraordinarily polite and friendly. We have had A LOT of experience with contractors over the last 5yrs or so and I can say that this was one of the most positive experiences that we've had. The work was high quality and completed quickly. Seriously, these two guys were great. Exceedingly polite. I didn't tell them, but I had worked 3rd shift the night before they came, getting off at 7AM, I was able to nap across the hall from where they were working without being disturbed. I didn't have to ask them to be quiet, they just were. Three thumbs up to them. As mentioned elsewhere, the only knock is price. They are a little expensive. But, if you can get the work done, and done right, the first time with a minimum of hassle; then I'm not going to complain. In this case, I do think that you get what you pay for.

I haven't had any service done. The bid was a little higher, but then I found out some of the things from places he painted. I know the people that own some of the properties. He did a great job. His price is probably very good for what he is going to do. They were great on responsiveness.

After making contact through Angie's List, a representative scheduled a visit for Phillip to view and estimate the job. He came on time, was pleasant, and gave me a detailed estimate and price in about 20 minutes. I then emailed my acceptance of the bid, and scheduled the job. There was a three week wait, but when the time came, I got another communication asking if a specific day and time were convenient for them to come and do the painting. When I agreed, I told them that they could begin outside, as I would be at work when they would get there at 9AM, and when I arrived home at noon, they had finished half the outside. The plants were draped in breathable cloths to keep the sealant off of them, and the ladders were placed with regard to giving no damage to the shrubbery. The men were cordial, polite, and efficient. They finished the outside that day and went home about 4:30PM. When they left, there was no trace of their presence, except that the bricks repelled water and my unruly hose was neatly coiled up. The next morning at 8AM, the same team arrived, laid down drop cloths from the front door to the job room, and moved all the heavy furniture from the room, leaving only a giant oak desk in the middle to also drape completely. The bamboo floor was totally covered as well. When the drywall was being repaired, the dust was removed via their vacuum machinery, and there was hardly any left to settle in the house. They worked all day, ate lunch in their van, and when they left, the first coat of paint was finished. They returned the next morning at 8AM, painted the second coat, and cleared away all traces of the job, down to sweeping the floor and replacing all the furniture. While I was at work again, Phillip came to see their progress. They left a handwritten thank you note for me, and Phillip called that same day to check on my satisfaction with the job. I told him that the job was exceptionally well done from start to finish. I would definitely use them again, even if the price kind of made me gasp.

Having hired a "smooth talking" painter once before, we went into this with extremely nervous expectations. Not only do you have someone in your home, but you also must have an element of trust and professionalism. We didn't know if we would need to take off work to "babysit" the project as our prior painter kept changing the scope of the project and produced shotty work in the end. With Phillip and his profesional team, all of those concerns immediately fell to the way side. Charlie, the team leader, immediately put us at ease going over each step of what to expect. Instilling a sense of trust that he Brandon, Jeremy and the rest of the team would treat our home as if it were their own. It was obvious after only a few hours there was no "babysitting" required. Knowing the company is "insured" is one thing, but seeing the actual detail that goes into only the prep of the job we knew we had made the right choice. Surprises are the scariest part of any large project. With a one week time-frame we certainly expected a few. The first surprise came up on day one. Phillip and Charlie made certain that they planned the job around us. They planned the job to accomodate where we would sleep and shower so that we were never "part of a job site" or "in each others' way." Surprise number two was the timeframe. Phil and Charlie planned on every contingency to simply get it done within the timeframe we discussed. In our case, we didn't want to live in painting purgatory for weeks on end. Phillip made certain we got every bit of this complete in a single week. Something we didn't even think was possible. We talked to a few other Angie's list painters (not all) and price was obviously a huge factor. What we agreed upon is what it cost, period. And, we wrote the exact amount on a check when the entire job was complete. No "half up front" so you are locked in. We had made that mistake in the past. Is Phil the absolute cheapest in town, probably not. But we will always go back to him, because we now know it's much more expensive to do it the hard way. Pay to have it redone! Phil, Charlie, Brendon, Jeremy, Ronnie, Donnie, Bobby - One heck of a team!
