Communication was a little difficult, and we needed to reschedule because of the weather, but overall things went well. Not top quality -- One section is a little out of level; I discovered after he was done that the gate needed to be a little farther off the ground, since it was catching in the gravel in the walkway. Overall, still good work, but not "A" quality.

He did a really good job.

Arrived 2 hours before scheduled time and measured space. Promised to call with estimate but never did, despite a follow up call from me the next day to ensure he had the correct telephone number.

Mr. Matthews was great to work with. He was available to start the project a week after the estimate. The fence and gates look great. I was a little concerned that my little dog could get under one part, so he came back after I called him and fixed it. Mr. Matthews is a hard worker. It is just him and his grandson. Even though he is a bit older, he is very fit and has been doing this work for decades. It was a pleasure working with this man.

He is a top notch man. He has had neck surgery so I am not sure he is doing much anymore. He does good work, very good. Really honest, hardworking and did a good job.

I called Paul to get a quote on a wood privacy fence, on a reference from a friend. I looked him up here on Angie's list and didn't see any reviews for him. I had him come for an estimate, he came out the exact day I asked for. He was on time. He walked the property with me and got me a quote that night. He called me himself and we set up a date for install. He came to put the posts in while I was at work, all the sides were to my liking but one I asked him to move back about 2 feet (closer to a neighbors fence). He came the next day and re-set the posts. They looked great when I got home from work the following day. He came a few days later to install the fence onto the posts. He doesn't use pre-made panels, he actually puts a 2x4 onto the posts and nails the fencing to it. It is straight as an arrow and well done. He is a one man job and I couldn't be happier! The price he quoted me beat out even the lowest quote of 3 others I got by almost $750 less! He was tidy, polite and friendly. I made a pot of coffee the day he installed the fence and he'd politely knock on the door to ask for a refill. :-) A friend has already used him and thanked me for his referral. Her price quotes were about $5000 less than the few she contacted. PAUL MATTHEWS DOES GREAT WORK, EFFICIENT AND FRIENDLY. Absolutely NO hesitations to refer him to ANYONE looking for a good quality privacy fence.

HE WAS REALLY FRIENDLY. HE WORKED VERY HARD AND DID A GOOD JOB. IT TOOK THREE VISITS TO FINISH. THE FIRST DAY HE HAD TO SET THE POLES AND THE NEXT TWO HE INSTALLED ALL OF THE INDIVIDUAL BOARDS. HE DID THE WORK ALL BY HIMSELF AND DID A GREAT JOB.
