 + -1 moreWe have been doing business with them for about 20 years. They are very professional and will come out within 2-3 days of your request. Whenever they come for their monthly visit I can request them to spray extra areas around the house. We have had other companies in the past and they are just the best we've had.
Description of Work: We have a quarterly contract with Okolona Pest Control. They come out every month to have the exterior of our home sprayed. Sometimes they do some spraying on the interior of my home as well. We also have a termite preventative service.

Description of Work: On 12/27/11 I found a bug that my husband and I thought was a bed bug. I immediately called OPC Pest Control and scheduled a "free" inspection. The inspection was scheduled for the next day between 9 & 10. The technician arrived around 9 and confirmed that the bug I found was a young bed bug. He thoroughly inspected our couches, chairs, mattress and box springs and determined that we did not have a bed bug problem. He told us that what we found was probably a stray that made its way in on someone. My husband and I were skeptical about the "free" inspection. In addition, we were afraid that the company would try and "sell us a bill of goods" by telling us we had a problem when we did not. However, that was not the case at all. The technician told us that we did not have a bed bug problem but should consider putting our mattress and box springs in bed bug proof casings. He told us what type of casings to buy. He also told us that OPC carried the casings and gave us the price. When we asked him how much we owed him for the inspection, he said nothing. We were so impressed with the whole process that we will be making the trip to their store to purchase the casing for our mattress and box springs. We feel this is the right thing to do following the service we received from them. We will definitely call them in the future.

They don’t have to usually come back for more. They used to be our neighbor for a long time and we have done business with them for years. We will use them in the future.

 + -1 moreWe saw insects in our finished basement bedroom. Concerned that they may be the dreaded bed bug, we consulted Angies List for a good exterminator. OPC was highly recommended so we called them. They came the same day ahead of schedule after they called to move up the appointment. Their representative (Bo Williams) was very professional. He easily identified the insect as a carpet bettle and told us how to contain them. He was here and gone in less than 15 minutes and at no cost to us. Although peace of mind is priceless. OPC really deserves the excellent level they have received on Angies List. We have recommended them to our daughter.
Description of Work: Inspected samples of insects we saw and captured. Identified insect and told us waht we should do.

 + -1 morewent great. When I called, they recommended having someone come out b/f scheduling any actual work. The gentleman arrived on time and checked the house and crawl space. He gave me some options and scheduled the time right then. They were available to come out exactly when we wanted them and were right on time.

 + -1 moreThey arrived on time, did the inspection and answered questions. They were polite and professional. The only reason I listed Quality as B is that they found an absence of bedbugs, which I believe to be true, but it's not as clear cut.. As far as treatment, I used OPC because they have the only heat remediation bedbug treatment in the area, and I wished to use that had it been necessary. It was a great relief to find out that no treatment was necessary!
Description of Work: OPC came and did an inspection to see whether we had bedbugs. We didn't! Therefore, there was no cost.

 + -1 moreWe have a termite contract and a contract for ants and all other things. I don't know their schedule. They just leave something on the door saying they have sprayed. We called them after we signed the contract about ants in the shed and they came right back out and we haven't had any problems. The treatment has been very effective.

 + -1 moreWe have an active flea problem in the basement of our home. The person who answered the phone for this company seemed quite uninterested in our telephone conversation. She could not answer questions about the process of flea treatment. She placed me on hold to get a supervisor, then stated that her "coworker" said the the technicians would not treat our house because it has concrete and hardwood floors instead of carpet. She admitted that she didn't know why and stated that her supervisor was out of the building. I was not convinced that either the person to whom I spoke, or her coworker had any actual knowledge of whether OPC could treat my home. I asked if I could speak with someone more knowledgeable about the process. She said there was not. She made no effort whatsoever to get any contact information, so no one could call me back with answers. If you can't get past an unreceptive receptionist. It doesn't even matter what kind of service they might ultimately be able to provide. Ridiculous. Incidentally, a competitor stated that concrete and hardwood floors will not prevent a successful flea service.
Description of Work: I called to ask for an estimate and inspection for a flea problem in our basement.

 + -1 moreGentleman was very friendly and professional. Took time to study the issue of ants in the dishwasher and around the sink. Sprayed the basement area underneath the sink area. Also sprayed outside the next he found. My only issue is that for $155 you would think you would get at least a perimeter s[ray of the inside of the house. I am going to try Black Diamond if there is a next time. Like a say, service was fine, just seems like there should have been a little more to it.

They were so kind ever time I called and would get W our service tech out ASAP to see me. He has be wonderful in explaining things that need to be done and the dog loves to see him too.(He brings her favorite chew bones!) I highly recommend them!

 + -1 moreThey were prompt, friendly. The best thing that they did for me, was that they reassured to me that the products they used were not dangerous to my kids. The price was fine, I wasn't dissatisfied with it but I don't have anything to compare it too. He was clean cut and uniformed.

 + -1 moreI called on December 29th, because I have dust piles appearing outside of one of my brick walls. I wanted someone to stop by and see if I had any serious issue with bugs and then spray if necessary. I called ;ate in the day and they were able to setup the appointment the next day at noon. Their sales rep arrived on time (noon), and came up to look at the wall I was concerned about. He told me that it was carpenter ants, and that they could come and spray, but it would probably be just as easy for me to buy the ant powder and do it myself. He said there wasn't any signs of a serious infestation, and that a whole house spraying was unnecessary. I greatly appreciated the honesty and candor, and if I ever have a more serious pest issue, I will definitely be calling OPC back.
Description of Work: Had OPC come out to inspect an issue I had with ants in my wall. Asked them to arrive ready to spray if they deemed it necessary. They came to my house and did the inspection, but found it unnecessary to spray.
